I have been going to Aesthetic Medicine for 10 years. I have always had a good experience up until now. Recently they moved to a new location. When I called to make my appointment for Botox, they did not mention that they had moved, nor was there any mention of it in their appointment confirmation texts. So I ended up going to their old location. Since I had just been there in April at their old location, you would think they would be make sure they reiterated that they moved so patients do not show up at the old location. Even their website has their old address on the bottom. They moved to downtown Lake Oswego and I was expecting something similar to the big, professional-looking location they had before on Meadows Rd. - WRONG!! Although their building is right on the Lake, the building itself is old and run-down. The parking there is horrible - the underground parking is small and hard to get in and out of. The office is located in the bottom floor. I was SHOCKED how small and unprofessional everything looked. There was no nice reception area. The reception area, waiting area, and payment areas were all in the same very small room. The reception and payment desks looked like hand-me-down desks and there was a storage room right next to the payment area that was messy and wide open. I got the feeling they were starting their practice from scratch and it looked like they found the cheapest place to rent. The two treatment areas only had hospital curtains to separate from the reception room. The treatment room itself had little equipment and the desk looked like it was picked up from GoodWill. When I sat down, they told me I needed to fill out new paperwork (even though I had just filled out new papers 6 months prior). They said that with the move, some of their records were in storage and the person that was in charge of the files didn't double check which ones to move over. Sounded like a HUGE excuse to me. You would think they would go get my file out of storage since they knew in advance I was coming. So they had NONE of my records. I went in the treatment room and the gal asked me what I was in for. I said Botox. She immediately started rattling off 2 additional different types of injection brands, and then said, "do any of those seem like something you want to go with?" I felt like she was really wanting me to switch to something different than the regular Botox I had been getting and I felt like she was a salesperson just trying to get more business. I told her I would stick to the Botox and I expressed my concern they didn't know how many units I usually get because they didn't have my records. She took a guess and I felt uneasy because I usually get less units than most people and it seemed like she was pushing for more (aka more money). I told her how much I usually paid and she left the room and when she came back she said that one of their people looked up how much I paid before and readjusted my unit numbers to the lesser unit amounts ( I still ended up paying more). I really should have left but I was leaving out of town and the numbers felt closer to what I usually get so I proceeded. Dr. Darm did the injection. I have NEVER had him do it before. First of all he introduced himself and shook my hand. Then he leaned me back - I mentioned that I had never been leaned back in any other treatments I had gotten and he said that is how he likes to do it. So he did the injections and he put one injection under each of my eyes in the fat pads! There are no muscles there and so I just ended up with two huge bruises. I have NEVER had injections in that area. Even the way he put gauze over the injection sites afterwards was haphazard. He ended up shoving part of the gauze in my eye! He then told me that because I had come all the way to the new location, he was going to "give" me a free skin treatment to help with the lines around my chin and mouth. Sounded good until he left the room and the gal told me about the procedure and said it takes about 12 treatments at a price of $2,000 (but she said it came down from $3,000). I guess they offer a "free" treatment so you sign up and are on the hook for more $$. The whole experience was terrible and not at all like it had been in the past. The office staff looked bare-bones and I have been looking to see if I can figure out why they moved and downgraded their practice so much. I had lipo suction done on abs and flanks about two years ago at a cost of $7,000. I was told I could go down 1-2 jean sizes. After the long two months recovery of wearing a compression garment (girdle).my belly was bigger and protruded more than pre-surgery. I think the lipo suction, although it sucked out 1.7 liters fat and fluid, disturbed or deteriorated the muscles I had in my abdomen from working out. The net effect was I had a bigger pot belly. Not the outcome I paid $7,000 for. I have been working out the past three months at MUV FITNESS with a Personal Trainer, doing a lot of crunches and ab exercises. Now my stomach is flatter, my jeans fit better and I have to tighten belt 1-2 notches. My six pack is starting to show. Don't waste your $7,000 on Aesthetic Medicine Lipo Suction; join a gym and use diet and exercise to reduce fat the old fashion way. read more

I had a great experience at Aesthetic Medicine! I have broken blood vessels (like spider veins) on my nose, chin, and cheeks. I went to Aesthetic Medicine to find out if they could be removed. During the consultation, Tracey and Dr. Darm advised using Laser Genesis. They were able to schedule the procedure for the next day. The procedure was virtually painless and was over in less than 20 minutes. The broken blood vessels disappeared immediately. I was thrilled! Unfortunately, the broken blood vessels began reappearing. I called the clinic about a month after the procedure and spoke with Tracey. She immediately booked me for a second treatment at no charge. The broken blood vessels are now gone. read more

Made an appointment for 4pm for Botox. Was told to show up early for paper work. Showed up at 3:30. Did my paper work. They took every single person in the lobby and I sat and sat and sat. At 4:30pm I left. Clearly my business is not valued. I'll go elsewhere. Pretty straight forward read more

DO NOT GO HERE. They raised their dysport rates unbeknown to me, and charged me over $700 for a routine visit. I have never exceeded about $345 per visit. They only charged me $100 at the time of the visit (saying they were giving me a $100 coupon) and then called me the following week to collect an additional $500 - saying they had made a mistake. Julia was the manager that handled this with me, and I expressed my shock and disappointment. I paid - but I will never go back. This is a horrible business model, unprofessional management and unfair for paying clients. read more

He answered all of my questions and was so attentive! Shayna...a sweet, sincere and genuine empath! She reviewed the process of my potential treatment from start to finish, was honest about the initial discomfort of the procedure and the aftercare! This is exactly what a medical practice should be! If anyone reading this has had an issue with them,please report them to the Oregon Medical Board & BBB. A board certified plastic surgeon costs less in time and money. Honesty takes time. Buckle up buttercups. Going to be lengthy. I want to say the front office staff is great. They do an excellent job making you feel comfortable. Since going there, I saw 3 board certified plastic surgeons who have told me the procedure they are doing will not provide any of the lower face results they promised. In order to get those, you need a surgical deep plane procedure. (Which is much more involved), not lipo and threads. I went here, really, with no expectations, just hope. The only expectations I had were the ones they gave me. Especially from Dr. Darm himself at the consultation. To say they can not provide the results they claim is an understatement After the first procedure, I expressed my disappointment to them because I got nowhere near the results promised. I spoke with Tasha (front desk) because I had a good relationship with her. She said to talk with Dr. Zawaki, not Darm. That she would be more likely to correct any problems. Dr. Zawaki offered to do a redo at no extra charge (the least they could do). I felt she was being honest and forthcoming, so I agreed to give her another try. She had been honest with me about the laser they used, and when I asked if CO2 was better, she didn't hesitate to tell me "yes it is." I wish she would have been honest about everything and told me she couldn't provide the results, Dr. Darm said she could. I made the mistake of asking about the skintight procedure at the same time (shame on me). Dr. Zawaki looked at the area I was asking about and said I had absolutely beautiful skin, and she would do it as well, at a small discount. Prior to the procedures, I was given Xanax which really impaired my ability to make any type of sound decisions. Dr. Zawaki came in and asked me if I would let her do fat grafting injections as well. She said it would help with the results. Being under the influence of a controlled substance, I guess I said sure why not. After everything was done, I hoped and prayed it would all come out great. I didn't want any more issues and to have to go through traveling there, the downtime, and the pain. Plus, I really liked all these people, I didn't want to have any issues. I was never rude to any of the staff members. I was always polite and tried to be understanding. I did, however, speak out several times to them about what I saw was going wrong. I was told it would all be good, I was still healing, give it 6 months. To tell the truth where the fat grafting was done made me look like I was a chipmunk or even the joker from Batman. I was told all the lumps and bumps on my stomach would go away. I was told my face and neck would tighten up. BTW, I still have never had a post-op on the skintight procedure, except for the one the very next day. I had phoned several times about all of the above and was always told to wait. (The first time, they did the threads, and I got an infection at one of the sites she put it in) They called me once at the 6 month mark about my postoperative inspection, I was out of town called when I got back never received a call back from anyone including Dr. Zawaki. It's probably because I had already let them know I wasn't happy. So, approximately $16,000 later, I sent a certified letter to Dr. Zawaki, which had never been answered. I reported them to the BBB and the Oregon medical board. I am now going to take legal action as they refuse to respond. Except they did through the BBB, stating I seemed to be happy with everything and that Tasha stayed with me after the skintight procedure. The only reason this happened is that I wasn't told I needed someone with me. I was only told I couldn't drive. I had made arrangements for Radio Cab to pick me up. I appreciated her help, but it was because of their error. Go to a "board certified " surgeon. Stay away from this facility. Day spas are only good for botox, fillers, facials. read more

The receptionist was so rude! I've never had a receptionist be so rude to me and I used to be one-- so the way she was speaking to me was wholly inappropriate. Now that Joelle doesn't work there anymore I have to find a new place. I had previously paid with check and made sure to check with receptionist and Joelle at time of procedure to make sure and it was no big deal to them. This time the receptionist was beyond rude to me and said in an aggressive tone, "Well, Joelle doesn't work her anymore so I don't know what to tell ya." It was so strange and inappropriate. If I was a manager, I would have just said our policies have changed but we will allow you since you weren't made aware of this. But they made such a big deal about it and made me wait forever and kept asking who had let me do it before. Big deal! Very strange and rude service. Very pleased with my results. Glad it did it. I had liposuction from my bust line down to above my knees and I could not be more pleased. I'm 68 wasn't that over weight but enough that it drove me crazy. In one day, I'm back to what my body type should be and I am very pleased. Highly recommend this spot if you are thinking about doing this. I checked out two other similar spots in the Portland area, but Aesthetic Medicine in Lake Oswego was the easiest to proceed and the nicest most down to earth staff. They are busy and I can see why. I went to aesthetic medicine to get a mini facelift they misled me and gave me a thing called a face tight 3 weeks after I had finished it my face look worse than before I started it took a instrument and sucked out all the fat in my face and my face is extremely wrinkled I went in today to have injections to try and put back some volume the person who did the injections didn't listen to what I wanted and proceeded to do what he wanted it looked okay and better than before I went in but I was definitely not listen to however I'm fortunate I've heard there have been a lot of other people that have had it worse read more

I've been having laser lift treatments on my face and it's amazing the difference to the fine lines on my forehead, under eyes and around my lips after just three treatments it's a noticeable difference. Very little if any discomfort. I've had friends and family comment on how great I look but they can't quite figure it out lol. I had the laser lipo mini facelift and again the results make me feel and look years younger, it's crazy. Last but certainly not least Morpheus8 is the BOMB!!! I've had one treatment and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results of a single treatment. I'm super excited I have two more treatments and I can't wait to get them because I would say they are the fastest and best results of all the treatments I've had. Some people may be afraid the Morpheus8 thinking it's going to be painful. Good news, I didn't feel much pain just a little discomfort a couple times.
