This heavy rainy LA weekend, we attended an estate sale in the gorgeous properties of Lake Sherwood. There's always so much explore and treasure hunt. And finding trinkets as gifts made wonderfully, and in a time capsule is always cool. We would've purchased more birdbaths and succulents except I had a dental cleaning approaching, across county line. This location on Lake Sherwood was advertised as being in Westlake Village in LA county. It's ventura county! Even the fire trucks off the fwy off ramp, were yellow Ventura County Firetrucks. Which I found odd bc I'm an LA county girl, raised here since my diaper days and I know LA county as well as my car GPS. Anyway, long story longer, we were charged LA county tax which is 9percent ish. When Ventura county tax is 7.25. Guys when attending estate sales check your zip code and actual county line maps. And charge the accurate tax amount. If we had bought larger items this would have made a huge difference! read more

Stopped by for a look-see on SuperBowl Sunday. I was the only Black customer browsing. No bag, just a wallet and keys. A closet door was WIDE open and other customers were looking, so I followed suit. As soon as I had an item, WITH THEIR SALE TAG ATTACHED in my hand, one of the associates walks fully into the room and calls back to her colleague "are items in the closet on sale?" I calmly told her the closet was opened and everything was tagged. She could nay, SHOULD have asked if I was needing assistance or if I wanted to put items in my hands at the front table, or let me know they'd be closing at "X" time. Or even hello. She assumed I was rummaging thru someone's personal belongings uninvited. I left the few things I CONSIDERED on the bed and walked out. Never ever again will I bother with Aeswon. I had a lovely encounter with another seller less than an hour earlier. If you're a Black woman, beware...going in with empty hands and yoga pants means you can't be treated the same as the other customers. Which is sad...especially in Los Angeles. But, this IS Black History. (Actually 1 star because the lady signing people in was pleasant- she was outside). read more

Very over-priced, so go on the last day, if at all. This is one of those companies that consults with ebay and overprices everything, despite have a house packed with stuff that needs to be gone in 2 days. $15 for a paperback book that isn't rare? I can get the same one at a used bookstore for half the price. Don't waste your time unless you see something you really want in their listing photos. Had an excellent experience with Cindy and her daughter Holly. They were extremely professional, detail oriented and ethical in their business practice. My wife and I bought this amazing new couch and great painting. Both 9 feet plus in length. They are HUGE! Coordinating the move and facilitating all aspects of delivery could have been difficult but they were able to stream line the process and made the purchasing experience a positive one. They helped in every way. They sold a quality product for a great price. They helped coordinate delivery and packaging for these fragile items and they were just cool people. I can't rave enough about Cindy and Team! Cindy was very communicative, keeping me up to date every day. They took about 4 days to research and price everything and staged each room beautifully! I briefly spoke with Cindy over the phone after she returned my call really quickly. Even though AESWON couldn't do my estate sale, she was absolutely lovely and helpful and referred me to somebody else. At the end of the call she said, "if you have any trouble please let me know." Who says that to a complete stranger especially knowing there's nothing to gain from it? Somebody who I believe to be professional, very sincere and an expert of their own craft. These are the estate sales I try to avoid: overpriced and disorganized. I asked how much an unmarked framed picture was and the employee used Google image search to price the item. I witnessed multiple employees doing the same thing, one even telling a customer that the item was selling for $75 online so she'd give it to her for $60! I talked to multiple customers who complained about how disorganized and overpriced everything was. I waited over 15 min to get the price for the framed picture and ended up just leaving. Don't be greedy and use companies like this, hands down worst estate sale experience I've had. Hi Cindy, I don't appreciate the gaslighting and blatant lies you stated in your response. If all your items were priced, why were so many customers asking your employees for prices? Why were employees scrambling to use google image search to come up with these prices? I was at the estate sale 20 minutes after it began, there is no way other customers took price tags off all these items. I don't know if you have me confused with another customer, but I would hardly say I was "argumentative" since I wasn't even given a price to negotiate with. I didn't even attempt to negotiate on an items with your employees, which is why it is so shocking to be accused of being argumentative. I already had a cup picked out that an employee had priced for me (again no price tag) and was ready to purchase. However, I didn't see any point in continuing looking through the items after waiting so long to not be given a price on a picture frame and talking with other customers about the overpriced items. It should be a red flag to customers and an even bigger red flag to potential clients that you would choose to make up lies about our interaction (if we even had one) instead of taking any kind of responsibility. You're right life is tough these days, honestly goes a long way. read more

I went to this estate sale in Sherman Oaks very excited, I left feeling terrible. This was the WORST and MOST RUDE group of people running this estate sale. They gave me dirty looks, CUSSED at my friend and I for parking in front of the house, and wouldn't sell me the old drapes in the house which were the only thing I wanted. I've never been HARASSED and treated so terribly at an estate sale. It is usually a great experience for me. I WILL MAKE SURE TO NEVER ATTEND ONE OF YOUR SALES AGAIN AESWON. And whatever the name is of the old caucasian woman with white hair and glasses running this disaster sale was the most rude person i've encountered this year. She does not deserve any role in running estate sales or anything where she has to interact with customers. And the neighbor here who is a older man barged into the house yelling and screaming and cussing at us for "parking in front of the driveway" which wasn't even half way blocked by the way. It was in the hills with no parking and we were there for only 15 minutes. Some people are just rude and horrible. He should be arrested for harassment as well. Terrible. read more

Worst case of BAIT & SWITCH EVER!!!!! Waited over 5 hours this morning for their estate sale only to find out the items below (silver enamel bird and jade flowers) were conveniently removed right before the sale. Even though they had weeks to remove the items or update the pictures, these people decided it was wise to remove items right before the sale started, on the day of the sale. That was according to one of the ladies working the sale. Sounds like total BS or complete ignorance on their part. So to clarify, they bait you with nice items in their pictures and when you show up to the sale, they simply remove all the good items and leave you with junk. Then they blame the owners that they are the ones who pulled the items out of the sale. On the morning of the sale. Ever heard of a contract? NEVER AGAIN will I shop with AESWON again. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Second possibility was that AESWON simply pilfered all the good items themselves in order to sell it at a higher price, thus gaining more profits for themselves while doing a disservice to the customers and throwing the owners under the bus. read more

I called Cindy last Sunday and made appointment to meet her at my parents's home March 22 at noon to discuss estate sale. Cindy was pleasant during our phone conversation. I had taken time off work and my elderly parents got their home ready to present. By 12:30, there was no sign of Cindy. Calling Cindy was the best thing I've ever done. I need to move back east immediately and rehoming my belongings has proven to be more challenging than I ever imagined. Cindy understood what I was going thru and she was over an hour later. She spent the next 3 days organizing my place and staging my stuff. This is the most unprofessional company I have encountered since becoming an avid sale goer 15 years ago. First they were not enforcing the mask policy at their sale this week which was shocking considering cases are up. Second the older woman running the sale kept spouting off about her personal politics unprovoked then used her politics to justify not providing a discount on a damaged sofa. I have had another estate sale experience in Orange County in the last couple of years which was no where near the exceptional experience I had with Cindy.
