Never do business with Novianti Kiby unless you want HELL!!!!…read moreWe have been to hell and back for 40 days in her house in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia. We've been sucked in by her Java based agent sweet talk and the owner dishonesty. The renting period was from 10th of December till the 20th of January (we left a night earlier).
We are a family of 4 and only needed a 2-bedroom small house. We told the agent and the owner, the reason we chose this 3-bedroom house because we will have families coming around Christmas time from another town for a maximum of 3 days stay to stay with us. Also, my husband friend for 9 nights in January, who never turned up at the end.
After paying and spending 2 days came the messages treats, insults, curses from the Germany based owner of the house, NOVIANTI. She said we only rent rooms, not the whole house. No kitchen and living room uses. The visiting family cannot stay in the house. The first 5 days her husband also stayed in the house which was part of the deal.
The repainted old house has 3 bedrooms, living room, open kitchen and garden. Living room is just an empty big room, no furniture except a buffet cabinet. Kitchen is open style with very basic used worn utensils and appliances. Mattresses old, bedcoverings also. Took us 5 days to get rid of the cockroaches. Under the beds lots of dust. In one bathroom we had to scrub of the stained wall from the soap.
The cleaner female we rejected, since she was used as a spy. Turned up every day twice without letting us know. My husband always had to be fully dressed because of that. She was instructed by the owner (NOVIANTI) to take pictures, make video call to send it to her to Germany. Novi asked us to pay the cleaner for not being there working. Off course we refused that. We done the cleaning ourselves and properly. We left the house at the end in a cleaner condition then when we arrived. My husband took video just before we left. She threatened us to send local leaders on us. All locals and her neighbours know her character well and stay clear of her. We also heard the previous tenants who rented the house for one year also went through hell with her. Constantly checked on them and finally got rid of them, (or they just had enough) accusing to not being clean enough. A few days before we left, Novi turned up (came over from Germany) with a man, who was also used as a spy, entering without asking. Not even saying hello, suddenly entered the house and tried to unlock an extra room door, moved furniture, and disconnected internet. When my husband asked who she is and asked to them to leave, she screamed that she is the owner.
If you dare to rent that house haunted by Novi, make sure all agreement is in writing and signed by you and her, or any agent you pay to. Also use witnesses to sign. Please make sure it is clearly written and detailed what is included in the rent. The Whole house or just rooms, kitchen, garden, cleaner, furnished/non furnished, etc. If rent long term should use public notary to be safe. We bargained for a house ending up fighting for it. You still will have trouble, but maybe less. Be aware that you will be watched by her spies for sure. Novi sent us picture from Germany showing our family visitor car parking at front of the house.
