Went there when they first opened with my then toddler. Awful experience. They refused to test her for strep and having being there 3 times in 3 days they finally tested her and it was positive. I never went back. Fast forward to today. I had heard some positive reviews so thought I would try them today. I have sore throat/ear hurts/etc. Was in the parking lot at 7:35 so I could be the first one when they opened at 8. At 8 they didn't open. About 8:05 the receptionist opened the door, said we are waiting on the provider and locked the door. I finally decided to leave at 8:35 after they still have not opened the door. It's $129 and pass go just like monopoly, it's easy money and this place could care less about you. The Dr. Thomas Maskell does not see to care about my concerns or listen to them. I know I have a sinus infection as someone with a deviated septum I dealt with them my whole life. With green mucus coming out of my nose they told me I was ok. Then proceed and said it was just allergies and here's prednisone. Nothing mentioned about my fever/chills or soreness in my throat. I went to minute clinic right after and got my antibiotics there. If Bon Secours is faith based, they sure don't practice what they preach. Other thoughts, Doctors offices that have waiting rooms that look like a fancy lawyer office tend to be that way to make up for the lack of care. Last time I came here was for a drug test and last night I stopped by for a Covid test as I've been feeling a bit ill lately. Turned out to be a sinus infection but apparently they have solid gold, diamond encrusted testing machines because that shit was $200. That's two hundred. Two, and then two zeroes after it. And here I was thinking the tests were free. I tried explaining to the lady at the desk that I have not received my insurance card from work and since she couldn't be bothered to look up my insurance by my SSN which apparently they needed for God knows what reason (obviously not to find insurance) I had to come out of pocket. What a scam. At least it came back negative. I can't complain about the service; everyone was polite and professional. But with prices like these, if I got shot in their parking lot I'd take my chances and wait for an ambulance downtown. read more

It would have been nice to have been made aware that my appointment would be an hour behind schedule. Also I got zero apologies or thank you for waiting from staff. I brought my daughter for the $20 sports physical that AFC emailed/text and advertised to me and as she already had one at her primary in January. The NP insisted on a EKG because her brother has a 1st degree heart block though my daughter has NO physical abnormalities. She never told me there was a cost and then as soon as the EKG was done she said that's an extra $75 do you want to pay now or we can bill you. I WAS FURIOUS! I've walked in twice here. First time it was for my son who had a rash.We went at about 6:30pm. It was right in the middle of flu season & they had mask out. I put the mask on to protect my two little ones. There were people in the lobby coughing w. unknown illnesses. Wait time was no more than 20 minutes. We got in to see the doctor & she was super nice, sent the prescription over to CVS electronically and referred us to a specialist. Second time was for myself. I spent about an hour & a half. There were several people ahead of me so I could understand. Once I got to the back I explained my symptoms & the doctor prescribed medicine & sent the prescription over to CVS electronically. The medicine worked without her doing an examiner or referring me somewhere else. We talked some more & I think she was only asking to diagnose me. If I ever need to go to a Urgent Care id choose them. read more

A while later I ran out of my meds and had no general practitioner. AFC immediately took to me in to see Stacy the NP. She listened to me, took my medical history and prescribed the meds I needed. Loved one went here to get tested for covid and flu because he felt horrible. Was diagnosed the flu and didn't receive any medication. Was sitting there for an hour and couldn't even get his temp checked. Called hours later to tell them he needs medicine and dumb receptionist tried arguing with me to give him the medicine they never gave us to him and to take over the counter medicine. Actually pay attention to what I was there for. I got a Covid test that wasn't indicated then staff seemed surprised that I wanted my THROAT swabbed because of pus pockets (which was why I was there). All they talked about was how I was the last patient of the day and they seemed distracted and more eager to leave than to treat/listen to me. Chart note indicates an exam was done but other than BP, pulse ox, and looking in ears/throat (after I asked) no service was provided. No one listened to my lungs, palpated throat/lymph nodes. Said throat swab would be back in a week or so. Just poor service all around. Oh, and I had to wait 3.5 hours for the pleasure of their rude behavior. read more

The doctors or NP are OK here, but the system is seriously flawed. They charge $200 for an item I can buy on Amazon for less than $50. Yet they claim to be part of the supposedly NON-PROFIT Bon Secours system. What a scam. The doctors are not even aware of the prices they charge when recommending equipment. This kind of ripoff is why we will end up with socialized medicine eventually and these people will have no choice but to honestly non-profit. Never accept any equipment from them. Be sure to get the name and model of the item you need and order it yourself!! read more

This place is a waste of time and very unprofessional. We went there at 8am this morning right when they opened with my wife dizzy and nauseous. Walked in and they immediately handed us paper work before anything else. Wife told them she was going to throw up and they gave her a small plastic tray about the size of a cell phone. A minute later she went in to the bathroom of the lobby and started vomiting and the lady at the front simply came out at said "we suggest y'all go to the ER". The name of this place is an urgent care and the ER is 30 minutes away. We will never be back here and I suggest nobody else go here for any medical issues. read more

Took my daughter in on a Sunday--tested positive for the flu. Service was good (not a long wait time, and very nice staff); however, when I received the bill, it was VERY HIGH. I had taken my son the week before to the CVS minute clinic for the same symptoms, tests, etc., and that bill was half of the cost of AFC's bill. I am going to assume that "urgent care" costs vary significantly from clinic to clinic. Problem 2-- I called the billing number to make a payment, and two days later to my dismay, my debit card was double charged. Thankfully, my bank is helping me with this matter because when I called to report this and get it corrected, the AFC customer service rep told me that they did NOT charge me twice. In a nutshell, I would say AFC is expensive and they need to iron out their billing system. read more

I had to pay in advance and did not receive any examination or any other help. Then they want me to wait 3-5 days for a refund when I need my money to go see someone else. I will not take a covid test ever as long as a positive report is given to cdc or us government. My health is not open for their use. They do not test everyone who walks in the door for h1-n1 so there is no reason to refuse treatment without Covid test. Cough is a symptom of thousands of different issues. Covid May be their automatic check but there needs to be more symptoms than a cough to assume that. That was extremely unprofessional to refuse treatment based on a bad assumption and it pissed me off that I have to wait for my money to be returned since I had to pay before treatment yet wasn't treated.......15 days later and still haven't received my money back. Last week I asked them for my money. Their response is "the check is in the mail". What a way to run a business and a clinic. read more

Hi, a 2 hour wait for a 2 minute visit. There was one patient ahead of us, and 3 people leaving. The staff never introduced themselves, failed to correctly perform vitals and also failed to clean their hands. After waiting for 90 minutes, offering to leave, we were informed that they were incredibly busy and that we were next. The physician never cleaned her hands or stethoscope. It was extremely disappointing and there is a need for retraining. It's important to communicate with patients that there is going to be such a lengthy wait. Perhaps better triage needs to be practiced so that the patients with truly a minor problem can be expedited and the patients that need more time will receive it. Or, the patients that are that sick might need to be seen at the Emergency department. Totally upsetting and won't be returning here. read more

Nice front office people. Incompetent doctor. Prescribed a cough medicine that I paid for, read the warnings, and cannot take due to drug interaction. All drugs I take were recorded in the file before seeing the doctor. The doctor spent 3 minutes with me. After that, I waited 30 minutes to get my dismissal papers. They called in the prescription. If I were not a person who reads warnings, the guy would have put me at risk of a stroke. When I called and requested a different cough medicine, he recommended an over the counter pill. Total waste of 2 hours, a co-pay, and prescription cost. For 15 minutes more wait time I could have gone to GHS MD360 and seen someone vetted by a teaching hospital. Doctors Express Greer is not a place I will ever trust my health with again. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

I have been trying to get a piece of my medical record sent for a new place of employment. I have contacted the Greer office a week ahead, informing one of the front desk associates that I needed specific documentation for employment. I let her know that it would not be feasible for me to go to their location because that would be an hour drive. She let me know that she would talk to the manager there and let me know her response. After a business day went by, I called again and the young woman answered and said that she would mail that out, she spoke to her manager and it would arrive about Tuesday or so. I know how doctor's office are suspicious of the person's identity when speaking to an individual over the phone, so I informed her that I could give her the job's fax number, yet, she still told me that it would fine. I ended that phone calling with the conclusion that, everything was taken care of and that the information would be mailed out. Rolling into the next week, now it's Thursday , I spoke to a young woman today, saying that she has no record of any employee documenting that I needed to have this information. I start my job on Monday. I do not understand why there is a lack of communication/ management at this office. Offices such as this one should document everything! It should matter what a patient calls for or anything. If it is not documented that it did not happen, that's what I have learned since working in the medical field. Now, I am in a position where, I am frantic over getting this information that if this issue does not get resolved, I will have to drive an hour past my resident location and get a piece of paperwork. This is ridiculous and I hope that higher management will consider this issue, because one known complaint is usually a long line of many others. The customer service/ phone service needs much work, employees must be able to communicate over the phone just as well as face-to-face communication. read more
