Appointment scheduling easy! Dr. Bobbitt is an absolute delight. She explained everything clearly and I didn't feel rushed. Davina helped me with the choices for my glasses. I wouldn't get eye exam or glasses from here if you care about your time and money . They lost my frames wouldn't replace the original one then gave me some frames that didn't fit . Rosen checked my eyes and gave me a prescription for new lenses. I had the new glasses made with the prescription. The prescription was way off. I had to go to another optometrists to get the correct prescription. I wasted over $600. read more

I went for a first time lens consultation with Dr. Murphy. He was very patient in explaining the different kinds of contacts lenses and which options were best for me. Yesterday, I had an eye appointment with new-to-the-practice Stephanie Gee. Hers was the most thorough, and comprehensive appointment I have ever had on my eyes. She was knowledgeable and professional, but above all, she was compassionate and genuine. She explained the logic and science behind her statements and, without being patronizing, she recommended a choice for my vision. I had no idea, until I researched her, that she is an expert in the area of contact lenses, having obtained an impressive education and practice in that field. I am so pleased to have discovered Dr. Gee. I feel confident in her diagnosis and her care of my eyes and sight. I would also add that the support staff with whom she works were also outstanding, professional and thoughtful. Great practice to visit! read more

I'm writing this review based on the retail store on Oracle Road, not the doctor. The sales lady was polite, but clearly wasn't interested in providing all of the details of the lenses she wanted to sell me. She felt that she had provided the enough information to make a purchase, but I wanted to know the manufacturer of the lens, what series of lens, etc. When I pressed for more details and asked if they offer trivex (because I'm currently wearing trivex) she would only say they offer poly and high index with no other detail, and treated me as if I was wasting her time. When I'm spending $500+ on lenses, I expect some detail to ensure I'm getting the best product for my eyes. Needless to say, the retail side of the business won't get my hard earned dollars, if they're not willing to answer my questions before the sale, how will they treat me after the sale?! read more

Had a scheduled Saturday appointment with Dr. Mulgrew. I had not seen him in the years I had been a patient there. Saw other very good doctors. This time I saw Dr. Mulgrew. His "chair-side" manner is excellent! A doctor with a great personality. Plus I learned some things that made total sense for the things that I was experiencing. Good to know what what happening (medically) when some of these things occur. He can be hard to get in to see so I'm planning of making my next year's appointment this week. read more

My husband and I both saw Dr. Laura Gudenkauf. She was very kind, professional, and knowledgable. The techs were also very kind there. I found the front desk staff to be a little cold and lacking in professionalism, but it could have just been an off day. Myself and my husband will continue to come and see Dr. Gudenkauf and hope to have increasingly good appointments when we do. read more

I think the doctors and staff are great. My husband, five year old, and I go here. My 3 star rating is for the fact that glasses take 10 business days to make. That's just unreal. So if you want to wait over two weeks to fill your prescriptions, by all means use them. Otherwise, take the scrip elsewhere. read more

I came here as dr. Kuehn was highly recommended. She was very informative but unfortunately was not be able to help me with the issues I have with Prism and astigmatism. She stated that she did not have the heavy lenses that sit on your face, to give inaccurate prescription. she was only able to use the machine but continuously adjusted my prescription even after I saw her. in the optical department, one lady, that said, she's been doing this business for 38 years, seems nice but It took her a long time to find my glasses, when I called. when I went to pick up my glasses, she grabbed someone else's glasses because she only read the first part of the last name. She seemed a little dumbfounded when I look at her and told her that they were not my glasses. I also found that the initial guy I worked with talked me into lighter lenses, which are not as clear as my heavier lenses. my prescription is also not correct and this is now the 3rd time I am going to them for corrections. Update: went back and found out they do have the lenses I need to check prism. I finally got my glasses back, for the 4th time, and found that they polished the lenses. I can only see my own reflection in my glasses. I called and was advised the manufacturer added a polish?, to them. They are ordering new glasses. Maybe 5th time will be the charm. After this, I am never going back. Either the eye center is terrible at communicating orders or the manufacturer that they use can't get it right. Either way. I am done. read more

Besides Dr. Mulgrew being one of best ever and Affinity Eyecare having a tireless, knowledgeable and courteous staff...my impressions of this ocular oasis just got better. I moved to Seattle recently and the frames on the glasses ordered from Affinity Eyecare while I was living in Tucson were having some issues. Long story short, I called in and was assured they were still under warranty and asked to send them in. I shipped them out the next day and the staff not only dealt with my impatient follow up calls (I love my glasses) kindly I got them back quickly and all is now right with the world! This place will treat you right if you're in town or 1,500 miles away. I am tempted to fly in just for my next eye exam, a new pair of glasses and La Fuente (still haven't found a good Mexican place in Seattle)! read more

I was used to getting eye exams at Costco but had an emergency situation that couldn't be dealt with there. Affinity was recommended by a family friend so I called in and was given a same day appt. The staff was very professional as well as the physician. The customer service remained consistently good through the many follow up visits required for my situation. They have a great selection of eye wear and can do special orders. One deficit to this office is Parking. Be prepared to park on the street. I was in there a few weeks ago for my annual eye exam. I never received a phone, email or text reminder. Luckily it was on my calendar. The staff was having a very tough time with the new computer software upgrade. Their computers kept crashing. They need to purchase new hardware to handle the new software. I thought it was quite odd that everyone, including the doctor, I dealt with was talking into their collar. It was very Orwellian and kind of creepy. Not sure I want to return. I can't be impressed with a practice who doesn't consider their support staff when "improvements" are made. read more

I have been in once before to buy a good pair of sunglasses with my Mom but just went back as a patient. Dr. Mulgrew was booked up for weeks so I went with Dr. Murphy. He was kind and patient and very knowledgeable about contacts. He had me try a pair for one week before I bought a supply; my next appointment is in early October. My Mom is a patient of Dr. Mulgrew and she thinks so highly of him that she has gotten my Dad (Lu) and me to start going to him, too. Am glad she did because am impresed with the office staff, too. I used to go to Affinity back in the day, then started going somewhere else when I got vision insurance. Long story short, the vision insurance sucked bad so I canceled it and went back to Affinity where I pay out-of-pocket (note, they do accept insurance, but they just weren't covered on my terrible/obscure vision plan). ANYWHO, the office is lovely. Feels almost "posh" when you're in the waiting room. The front dest staff are friendly and personable and the doctors are kind and knowledgable. The equipment is all new, nice, and properly functioning (because I've totally been to places with the fancy new equipment....but it doesn't work so they still rely on archaic methods for assessing vision). The only thing I don't like is how they REALLY try to make you buy your lenses/contacts from them. Honestly, though, that's how all vision places seem to be so I guess that's the norm - must be where the real money is in the business. But they're nice enough. I always decline their lenses/frames and just take my prescription to Costco (cheapest in town - even cheaper than the online sites!) Moral of the story - I'm happy to be back as a customer at Affinity! I'll never stray again! read more

Great service! Just moved to Tucson. Explained that I needed new contacts and I was on my last pair. The office staff scheduled me a 2 pm Saturday appointment (it was Thursday). They close at 2 pm on Saturdays. Which means she squeezed me in on such short notice! I saw a new DO who specializes in contacts ( since I have a difficult RX) and she was great! Office visit, exam and contact lens fitting was $175. A bit pricey but I was in there for over an hour for my exam. She was very complete plus all follow up fittings are included, or so I'm to understand. We will see how the follow ups go but so far I'm very impressed. I've been a patient of Affinity Eye Care for several years and went in yesterday for an exam and lenses. Everything went smoothly, from beginning to end. I had a minimal wait in the comfortable waiting area (I'd arrived a bit early) . The front office staff welcomed me with a smile, processed my info quickly and answered all my questions. Dr. Murphy and his techs were amazing, as always. They made me feel comfortable; conducted the various tests expertly and efficiently and explained everything along the way. When the exam was completed, I was escorted to the Opticians' area, where everything, again, went smoothly, including the paperwork. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
