Im so surprised by the other reviews I've seen on Dr Martin. I have had nothing but a great…read moreexperience with her. I enjoy the fact that she talks to me like a real person rather than keeping an awkward "professional" demeanor. She knows the names of my family members and the relationships I have with each one of them. I have never felt judged or looked down on. Quite the opposite really. I think what I like the most is her ability to call me on my BS. This is recovery. This is hard. There are times that I am my own enemy and the root of the stress I am going through. She will tell me that, and show me a different way of thinking. A way out. She knows what kind of work I do and takes the time to ask me about different aspects going on that affect my industry. I have never been asked a weird list of questions off a list. We cover the DEA questions required to be asked by prescribers but that is not that main meat of our conversations. I have never felt rushed out. There have been times I needed more time due to something really hard I was going through and she sits right there with me while I cry and carry on and deal with the thoughts while she offers me guidance. There are also times that I am not in a chatty mood and everything for the most part is going fine. Those visits may be a little shorter. Its never just 3 mins and rushed out though. If you are looking for a yes person, she is NOT that person. Truth is if you are there for the same reason I am, we dont need another yes person in our lives. If you are looking for a dealer in a white coat. She isn't that either. She has always created an environment that I can be open and honest. Where if I fail I know as long as I am being HONEST with her she will be there with me. I am truly sorry for anyone that had a bad experience with her. I am very thankful I found her and that I still have her to help me keep fighting the war within myself. I for sure recommend her to anyone seeking help. The office personell has changed in my time going there. There was a bad egg at one time. She is long gone. The office is headed up by Nina. Again another person that has taken the time to know me, knows my children's names, my preferences on days and times, that if I come in looking a certain way that I am dealing with something different. I can not say that about most places. Can you?

She kicked me out of her office after taking my money, with absolutely no help. She was heartless at one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. Avoid her at all cost!

I transferred here from the Columbus office where I never had any issues whatsoever…read more When I first got set up with someone at the Indianapolis location, after our initial intake, I made sure not to see this guy again. He was very scattered--he would get confused about when our appointments were, even right after I told him my availability. He was also several minutes late to our one appointment and spent a lot of time talking about himself. Then I received a random text from him saying he'd be late... when we didn't even have an appointment scheduled. In December, I was switched to an art therapist and was very excited about that. After three months, we never even did art therapy--sessions felt more like casual chatting than actual structured therapy. April 1st was the final straw. She April Fooled me by standing me up. After about 10 minutes of her being late to our in-person appointment, I checked my text messages, which I don't get notifications for nor check regularly because it's a distraction, and found three messages from her. Her messages said things like, "Wait, are we meeting in person or virtual?"--after I had already specifically confirmed I wanted person at our last appointment and had only asked for virtual one week when my son was ill--and then, "I'm just going to assume you're not coming if I don't hear from you," followed by asking if we could switch to the next day. I had already requested in-person so we could actually do art therapy and had driven over 20 minutes to get there while exhausted and on the heaviest day of my period. When I texted her and told her I had been waiting, she deflected by mentioning her drive was longer than mine and said she didn't want to bombard me with calls and messages. I received three messages and ZERO phone calls. Needless to say, I will be leaving Ellie Mental Health due to disappointment, my time and energy not being respected, along with a lack of professionalism and extremely poor communication skills. Thank you for reading my honest testament. May we all find the support we need and DESERVE!

I had an appointment with Miranda Linville at Ellie Mental Health in Indianapolis. Initially, our…read moreconversation began on a positive note as we bonded over our shared love for animals. However, when I brought up my previous therapy experience in another state and expressed my doubts about its effectiveness, her demeanor shifted drastically. She became increasingly defensive and dismissive, which made me feel like I was being attacked. She also stated she "gets paid whether I'm there or not" insinuating she's more interested in money rather than the well being of her patients. The atmosphere became uncomfortable, almost like a fight or flight situation. Feeling uncomfortable with her attitude, I politely suggested that we might not be a good fit, to which she callously agreed. In light of this, I felt it necessary to request the manager's intervention to address the issue. Nikki was the on shift manager at the time and made me feel heard about what had happened. I want to thank Nikki but I will not be returning to this location nor referring anyone to Miranda Linville

This assessment was recommended and…read morerequested as part of identifying mitigating circumstances for an upcoming court sentencing hearing. Dr. Johnson assured it would only take him a few weeks to complete once all the evaluation questions were completed. Fast forward several months, the assessment was never completed and never delivered. Dr. Johnson made up conflicting excuses such as the report is "almost done" and will be done within a couple weeks. He told the attorney it had already been emailed multiple times, but not received. He then said the report was stored on a flash drive that had become corrupted and the data was "unrecoverable". The sentencing hearing took place without the assessment that was paid for and promised. We contacted Dr. Johnson and requested a refund of the entire $2500. He apologized saying he thought we had gotten the report, and said he had mailed a refund check to us that morning. After waiting a week with no check received, we contacted him again and he said we simply had to keep waiting as the mail is slow. We made him issue us a check in person and went and picked it up. The next week, we received the supposedly original check, postmarked a week after he had said it was mailed. I would highly discourage anyone from utilizing his services because he is very dishonest and blatantly lies. Search for his info online and you'll see this exact same complain from multiple other people: they pay $2500 for psychological assessments that he never delivers.
