Aron is a one-man team with incredible service! Here's the scenario: my beloved car was parked by my place when three thieves lost control with their stolen rental Fiat and hit my car. I called Affordable Towing's "Arron" from the reviews online to tow our Supercrew 4x4 pickup with his flatbed after it lost a wheel. Not only was Arron professional, knowledgeable and thorough on the phone, even though it was rush hour he got to our truck within about 30 minutes from his location. I'm hardly one to give out 5 star reviews on the fly. So you know if I'm giving someone a 5 star review, it was really that good. I had an unfortunate self-accident (airbags deployed b/c of hitting a trench plate on the road). I needed to get my car towed ASAP as I was in a major intersection in the Fruitvale. My boyfriend googled/yelped towing companies and saw Affordable Towing had good reviews and called Aaron. I couldn't call as I was dealing w/police and paramedics (btw). So my boyfriend told Aaron that I was at the certain intersection, what the make/model of car was, and that he would pay him when we arrived at our destination. Thankfully, Aaron agreed and told him he would be there within 20 minutes. Sure enough, 20 minutes from when we contacted Aaron, he was there to tow me home. Aaron got to the job site and confirmed I was the one who needed towing (since another car was also disabled on the road ahead of me b/c of the same trench plate hit). Aaron started hooking up my car while I was talking to the police and paramedics and within 10 minutes he was ready to go. As he drove calmly and expeditiously to my house, we had a good conversation about his career. His cab was nothing fancy but it was clean. When we arrived he dropped of my car where I asked him to and he dropped it and explained the mechanics of what might have possibly happened to my car. Aaron takes credit/debit cards and gives you a paper receipt. All in all I would say my entire trip--from call, to pick up, to transport, to drop off--took about an hour and a half. It's not easy to find a towing service that isn't preying on its vulnerable and already stressed out customers. You have to give these guys credit, because they don't nickel and dime you with multiple charges based on imaginary factors, they'll quote you a price and stick to it. They might not be the fastest or biggest company out there, but they are honest, keep in good communication while you are waiting and do their best to provide an all-around quality service. I was able to get towed from Berkeley to East Oakland on a holiday weekend at less than half of what some other companies would've gouged me. My car died and I needed a tow. I was taking up one of the limited parking spaces of a local business. The business was nice about it, but I felt bad and wanted to remove my car ASAP.
