They left large ruts on our property from the Bobcat operater and failed to clean up tree removal debris as agreeded upon. Additionally, Danny said he would have to come back with is lift to take down the two large branches. He never returned, and I suspect his lift is inoperable or he doesn't own a lift. He also forgot to take down one of the agreeded upon cedar trees on our property. I reached out to him on numerous times via text messages, which he did received, and phone calls but he would have various excuses why he could not come even after he told me he would be returning on a given day and time. Every reason from his mother being in the hospital, to other tree jobs, and weather related issues. I went out of my way to accommodate these delays, but after being rescheduled for at least 5 times over several weeks, I concluded he had no intentions of returning to finish the tree work I paid him to complete. The most frustrating issue has been his refusal to return phone calls or text messages, and on the two times he did return a text message it was at 5 AM to say he is not able to come again, even though I had asked him each time to let me know the day before if he is not able to come as promised to finish the tree work. My purpose in posting this review is to warn others of the problems we have encountered with D and D tree service, and the lack of communication from D and D tree service! I will let the readers of this rview decide if they want to use D and D tree service. In my case, I am looking into submitting a formal claim in small claims court in Mathews County and a submitting a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. My goal is to warn other potential customers of the poor service he provided and lack of communication on the part of D and D tree service. Bottom line, we paid him for the agreeded upon tree work and he has been unwilling to return and complete the tree work on my property in Mathews, Virginia. Very frustrated customer!

We hired Danny to do major tree removal from our property. The service was immediate and the…read morepricing was reasonable but his workers drove their large vehicles across our property that caused serious damage. Not realizing that the large craters on the property was caused by his equipment, we requested a small wooded area and trees to be cleared. Also, as a part of the agreement he charged and agreed to level out the property where he took down the previous trees, remove the wood shavings from the stump removal in addition to the land clearing project. It wasn't until he completed the second job did we notice that here was a 50 yard section of our property that had huge tire tracks that sunk over a foot deep. He attempted to fix the problem by filling the tracks with dirt and laying hay. There were also huge craters near the cleared wooded area that caused dangerous conditions. His team also did not clear the fencing, remove wooded planks, etc, that he agreed to do. When this was brought to his attention he responded back, acknowledged the damage and promised to "make it right". This has been going on for months, with no resolve. After another conversation, some one came to our property and dumped a pile of filler dirt on the side of the house and left it. That now, has caused further damage to the grassy area where the dirt was dumped. We requested half of the money back and his wife (who took my money), refused to pay. We have even asked for his insurance information so we can file a claim, also no response. We now have no alternative but to file a civil suit for the damages. This is cost this company far more than we paid. This is a poor way to run a business. Think twice before you hire this company.
