Part of the treatment is a scalp massage, in a massage chair (oh yes, they also actually do wash your hair while massaging :) ) That makes you feel pretty special! The other thing they do is advising you about your hair, etc etc. This is a bit strange, as it almost feels like they want to steer you towards buying an expensive hair product. That is fine, but that was not the reason I was here :) So that's why only 3 stars, it doesn't mean they are bad at all. Disclosure: my hairdo is pretty easy, they just use the clippers at 4mm. Thanks to the previous (white guy) reviewer, he was willing to give them a try, and was glad he did. You don't need an appointment to get a haircut, you can just walk in any time. The price is great, 12 euros for a men's cut, which is cheaper than the local hairdressing school which charges 16 euros for a haircut done by a student. They're quick here, just snip-snip, a cup of tea, and you're done. And best of all the owner is super welcoming and nice. My husband didn't feel shunned at all. The downsides are that the decor is a bit run-down, but also a bit quirky. There are lots of religious posters on the walls interspersed with 'sexy hairdresser' posters consisting of fully-clothed pretty women making kissy faces at the camera. It's at least a bit of a unique cultural experience in that respect. If all you want is a fast haircut without having to plan ahead and make appointments, then this is a great place to go. If you need hipster points for drinking scotch while getting your haircut by a man with a handlebar mustache, you're better off going to a fancy expensive place in the center of town.

De persoon die mij hielp sprak de taal nauwelijks, wat de communicatie erg lastig maakte. De henna werd aangebracht zonder te controleren of beide wenkbrauwen gelijk waren. Uiteindelijk bleek één wenkbrauw duidelijk hoger dan de andere, en de henna was ook buiten de lijnen van mijn wenkbrauw gezet. Toen ik dit aangaf en vroeg of de henna verwijderd kon worden omdat ik ontevreden was, werd ik niet serieus genomen. Ik gaf ook netjes aan dat ik om 14:00 een afspraak had en verwachtte rond dat tijdstip geholpen te worden. De reactie was helaas: "We chillen niet, we hebben het druk." Terwijl er maar drie klanten aanwezig waren en er eerder gewoon getelefoneerd werd. Ze probeerden de henna nog te verwijderen, maar dat lukte nauwelijks. Kortom: ik raad deze salon niet aan.
