Thanks to a family friend, Sarah, who is a nurse at PS, we were able to get him help RIGHT AWAY--and with the best of care at that! Dr. Rishi, who owns the practice, came in to meet us for an afternoon appointment that same day, and the front office folks even helped us figure out billing, since our insurance didn't view an office visit as covered. As for the appointment itself, Dr. Rishi dedicated a great deal of time to hearing our baby's medical history and to examining him, and so we left the office with a whole plan of attack. We saw results THAT NIGHT, thanks to their comprehensive treatment for his respiratory infection; they even provided us options for further action, should he require it: Dr. Rishi wrote a standing order for a chest x-ray, should we need it, so we could go straight to the ER and have it done. And as a doc who has admitting privileges at the hospital, she said she could admit him if he's really bad off or see him again for a follow up check, should we want--any day! In short, everyone at the Pediatric Specialists of Franklin County was amazing--they did everything in their power to help our son and get him back to health. And they didn't even know us beforehand! We are SO grateful for this office and the doctors, nurses, and staff who truly cared enough to go the extra mile. You don't always see that in a health care provider, but as I've talked to folks in town, this is apparently standard procedure for Pediatric Specialists. I can't recommend them enough. At first, it was fine (mainly because I didn't know any better) but it was evident they only cared about billing and not patient care. It was impossible to get anyone on the phone and there wasn't much as far as making you feel like a person being helped versus an insurance subject to bill. We switched pediatricians when my daughter was just a few months old after a very disturbing conversation with a nurse that made me very uncomfortable and made me feel like I wasn't able to advocate for her and what I wanted as her mother. I still to this day 2+ years later get emails and texts from them asking for us to schedule her next visit. I have even called and asked them to remove me. If you're able, seek care elsewhere.

The nurses and doctors were amazing. My wife ended up having to have our twins early for medical reasons and the staff was great at explaining everything. My wife needed help after giving birth and the nurses were so compassionate. Our boys stayed in the NICU for a bit and Dr Uddin and Dr Mandoa were amazing. The nurses were also great. Being able to come or call in 24/7 was amazing and helped ease the sting of not having our boys home with us. Dr Budi who is now an executive at the hospital even stopped by to say hi and even covered a shift once even though he is on the administrative side, which I thought was very respectful and admirable because he didn't forget where he came from. I'd recommend this place for everyone. They truly care about families.

Dr. Toso delivered my baby through a C-section and because of her, I now have to deal with a trauma…read morein therapy which was the biggest trauma of my life. As I was laying on the table, she did some tests to see if I was feeling anything before she cut me open and every single one of her tests were answered with a "Yes, I feel sharp pain". She went ahead and cut me open anyways. Result: The Epidural catheter was miss placed in my back -so the anesthesia wasn't working- and I felt the ENTIRE surgery and screamed of pain THE ENTIRE SURGERY. My whole C-section was about me screaming "STOP, I FEEL EVERYTHING, PLEASE STOP", and not being acknowledged. I felt Dr. Toso cutting every layer of my skin and it went on... If that wasn't traumatic and messed up enough, I also lost a lot of blood - my hemoglobin/blood count went from 12.0 to 6.0 and I got into a critical stage after surgery (A SIMPLE C-SECTION) and had to have blood transfusions. After surgery Dr. Tosso never came to the room to clarify why everything happened the way it happened. I never heard a sorry from her or the anesthesiologist and they also lied in the reports saying that the surgery was UNEVENTFUL, NO COMPLICATIONS AND ANESTHESIA WAS ADEQUATE. What a shit show!!!! My husband was with me the entire surgery and witnessed it all, if wasn't for that I am sure they would have played the card of "patient was hallucinating"

All of his staff are awesome.idc where i live,I will always take my baby and daughter to him!! I'm pretty sure he was rated among the top 20 pediatrics in the u.s....that's AMAZING! That speaks volumes right there!! And he accepts MD and WV medicaid.
