The service is always so friendly here. Spacious interior with metal sculptures hanging on the walls. Looks like they've added a bar area since the last time we were here. Good looking menu with lots of choices, even gluten free choices! We have ordered burgers with sweet potato fries, YUM! The burger was a little well done for my liking and the fries were super crisp! Terrible service. The waitress scolded us for not calling ahead to warn her we were a group of 10 coming in. She angrily told one small group of 4 NOT to move a table away from a wall (so they could all sit down). Another table asked for a dish but with no beans, her response was that was how it came, with beans. Overall, she was rude and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Also, food took far too long to arrive, and was mediocre at best. Great location and decor, but the staff ruined it. read more

From a guy who loves Burgers, this place Nailed It! First stop here on the way back from Rocky Point and after a week of Mexican food needed some burgers. They all looked good so daughter had the Bacon Cheeseburger, added avocado, wife had the Bacon Cheeseburger bowl (keto), I had the Patty Melt, and grand daughter the kids chicken finger. Tasted each and all amazing. For a small town this is a must stop for a town that people Cruz through. This will now be our stop on the way home from RP! Highly recommend! On our way home from Rocky Point and we're hungry so we decided to check this place out. We had the Agave Bourbon BBQ burger and the Bavarian Bacon Burger, both of which were amazing! We learned the chef hand makes and seasons each burger and we both commented on how perfectly seasoned each burger was. The BBQ sauce couldn't be better as the flavor was great but it didn't overpower the beef. The white cheddar sauce on the Bavarian burger was simply mouth watering! We tried the regular and sweet potato fries and felt they could have been a little more crispy but the flavors were good. They have a full bar so the glass of wine paired perfectly with the burgers! Although we are not dessert fans, I was very tempted to order one of their amazing looking desserts. Maybe next time dessert vs burger? The reason for 4 stars vs 5 was because they were under staffed when we arrived but we noticed more staff coming in during our visit so it could have been our timing. We will certainly plan to visit the Agave Grill both on our way to and from Rocky Point next time. read more

Our family came for lunch on our way to Rocky Point. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. There was a really large party (15+ people) that came in right before us, but it still felt like we got our food really quick. Everything was really good and fresh, and the bread & buns were delicious! When we were checking out, they gave our boys little goodie bags with some treats and toys that kept them entertained the rest of the trip. We were surprised to find that there were only two restaurants open for business in this little town the weekend we were there. We chose to try out this place. Overall it was ok. Our server was a nice man, but he was the only server at the time, so it took a long time to get a table cleared for us to sit, a long time to get our order taken, and a long time to get our food. Fortunately, we weren't in any hurry, so it was fine for us. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had the Reuben. We both upgraded to onion rings for a slight charge. We were disappointed that we each only got about five onion rings for that upcharge. The sandwiches were ok, nothing spectacular, and not worth the $30 bill. I realize they are probably doing their best during this rough pandemic time, but I think next time we come to town we'll pack our own food. Other reviews have said they really enjoyed it, so we'd probably be willing to give them another chance. read more

This restaurant is a perfect example of why monopoly is not a good thing. It apparently one of only two places in Ajo open for dinner, so understandably it was crowded. We wanted to get a couple of burgers to go and the young women who took our order said it would be 20-25 minutes. After 25 minutes I checked and was told it would just be a few more minutes. After45 minutes, I asked again and was told there were still two orders before they would even start our order. When I asked why they couldn't be more accurate in their estimates, the owner got in my face and proceeded to repeatedly and obnoxiously tell me how hard it is to get competent staff. The food finally came...an hour altogether. The burger was mediocre at best and the fries were soggy. If this is the quality of food service I don't think we'll spend the night in Ajo again. read more

Horrible and very rude service! I will not return and would NEVER recommend the restaurant to anyone. Service out of the kitchen is VERY, VERY slow!! I have eaten here twice and each time it has taken more than 2 hours for a simple hamburger. The hostess lost our reservation. When she found it she said, "I don't have a table for you. You're too early." This was at 5:25 pm for a 5:30 reservation." Her imperious attitude screamed "I don't give a #%@%^." This had been a reservation for a special birthday ending in a 0. This place was quite a gem to find when coming back from Puerto Peñasco! A lot of the reviews said the burgers were delicious and they sure were right! I got the avocado burger and added bacon with sweet potato fries; it was yummy! The seasoning of the burgers is the best, honestly. If it wasn't so far away from Phoenix, we would come all the time! They seemed a little understaffed but out waiter was very nice. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be coming back! read more

If passing through and you need a place to stop for a bite to eat...give this place a try. My friend raved over the chicken sandwich. Being a vegetarian myself...there wasn't much of a selection other than a salad. The hubby liked the mushroom burger but did state it was a tad bit overdone. The bloody mary....watered down and came back to a life a little bit with some pepper sprinkled in. We stopped by here on our way home from Mexico since we got gas at the Shell station right next door. I read the hamburgers were great, so we all ordered hamburgers. I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger and split it with my son. It definitely did not disappoint! We really enjoyed it. 2nd time for us. Each time the food has been great. Ordered Burgers, and sweet potato fries, fried zucchini & green beans. Their ranch is the good stuff, and good quality brioche type buns. The service has been great both times. We once had a very straightforward women who was still pleasant and sense of humor, today we had the most kindest gentleman named Eric (sp?) He truly appreciated the business and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because we watched the cook use her phone several times while preparing food. That is unacceptable and a health concern that should be properly handled by management to train their employee. read more

This was such a fresh and delicious meal! The bread was outstanding on all our sandwiches! We had the Philly Cheesesteak, Ruben, and cheeseburger, hamburger and we were completely satisfied, smiles all around. Our service was friendly and fantastic. This was not a fast stop, but there were to go orders that I imagine were placed ahead of time for pick up for those in a hurry. We were not in a rush and the wait was completely fine, especially after tasting how fresh our food was. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. The burger was greasy and soggy, the fries were overcooked and unseasoned. The service took FOREVER. My 'bacon' was a sad, soggy, strip of pure fat. This place is a blight upon restaurants in general. If it's the only place open, drive to the next town. read more
