If you see sets or collections of items it is worth asking about a special price for if you buy the whole lot. I have done this before with sets of books and the manager has always been happy to give me a small discount to take them all away. The changing area is very small and just has a curtain door. This is very close to where the toys are and I think you need to take care getting changed here. Certainly not as big as some of the charity shops on this streeet but well worth a look all the same.

Ashington has quite a few charity shops along the main street now. Scope feels a little run down and badly designed compared to the other charity shops in the town. The prices, however, are more favourable here! Staff are lovely, hard working people. Some great bargains available: men and womens clothing, some bags, ornaments, books and entertainment. There is mostly clothes though, a nice selection with some designer names going very cheap!

The Scope store does look dated compare to a lot of the newer to open stores such as sue Ryder, ARC, British heart foundation in the town, but they are always happy to take items to sell from you and very grateful for anything donated. I have not used the shop much myself but prices seem reasonable when I have been in to donate items to them, a great way to recycle and save money in the current climate and support a good cause to help others.
