Late nights and coffee is a must for me! Agora met all of my needs and I appreciate them for existing. I ordered an iced vanilla latte to go this time. But I will definitely be back to sit and chill. There's plenty of places to sit and work or hangout with a friend or a boo. I liked that there was a front patio as well. Staff were nice and energetic which is great for late night interactions. Happy Yelping!

Since coming to Houston, everybody has mentioned this coffee shop. And finally, I got to learn what all the hype is about. When you first enter the cafe, it's a very cute location - located on the main strip of Westheimer Road. There's an outdoor area on the porch with wooden benches and tables. And when the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy coffee underneath the Houston warmth. On the inside, there is very seating around couches, tables, and also an upstairs. On the upstairs area, there is a trellis with a balcony that faces downstairs and tables that line the edges of the second floor. It's a very nice vibe and a lot of people seem to go for work! There seem to be outlets against the walls. They have decorations aligning the walls of the cafe and it's very eclectic with a lot of literature and older themes. I would say it seems like a very cute place to go for a coffee date. And, it is also open at night. My only complaint is that it is way too overhyped, it's impossible to find seating. I can see this place getting regulars and it has a cottage vibe. But, good luck if you come at the right time, you most definitely will not find seating. Be extra careful also with the stairs, they are very steep with limited railing, I can see it being very easy to fall down them. Coffee itself, it's also very generic. They have all the basic options from espresso to cortado to lattes. The street parking is more likely a must also, the parking lot in front of the café, only fits around nine cars.

Cute place to grab a chai latte after meeting friends for brunch. The good. Easy to walk across the street from Barcelona. I already had parked. Otherwise parking might/would have been a challenge. The chai was hot and not too sweet. The green cup and saucer were so retro. The place is so cute and cozy. The not so good. The line was so long. It was midway to the entrance when our party of four entered. By the time we got our drinks, the line was out the door. No real place to sit. We were lucky to get a place with four seats at the counter as someone left as we were getting our lattes. My friends actually ordered their coffees to go because they didn't think that we would find a seat. Prices are high for what you get. Everything is an add on. Milk choice. Addition fee. Flavor additional fee. It runs the cost up. Would I go back? Not so sure. Common Bond is right next door and had a lot more places to sit down with friends.

Agora is such a cute coffee house filled with plants and Greek decor. I've passed by the outside a few times to dine at other places, but this was my first coffee experience here. The line was about midway up from the entrance when our group walked in after brunch. It moved a little slow. The line was to the entrance door when we all got our drinks and luckily found some bar seats near the register. Both floors were occupied by groups or people on their laptops. You have to excuse yourself through the narrow spaces since it was busy. There's a steep staircase to the second floor, and a single men and women restroom is on the first floor near the stairs. The drinks came out quickly, and the coffee was hot enough to drink without burning your tongue. I think it's overpriced when you add a syrup, espresso shot or milk alternative. I ordered a latte for $5.50 and added vanilla for $1 and oat milk for $1.25. Without tip yet, it was $8.34 with tax. Yes, some coffee shops also charge, but some don't, and it's just as good. The coffee was ok. I think there was a little too much vanilla syrup. There were pastries for sale, but we just had brunch, so we didn't try them. It was nice to see what this place was all about. I would maybe go back, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Common Bond is next door, and there's an abundance of coffee shops in the area where I live.

I've heard Agora is a go-to study spot for Rice students as they stay open late. They really try to maximize their seating as the tables and chairs are very close together, especially on the second floor. I had an iced matcha latte, which was very basic and tasted like one you would make at home with some powder and milk. They charge extra for milk substitutions. I was glad they had self-serve sweetener packets available, although I wish there were some menu option to have the drink made sweeter. They also sell an assortment of pastries. There is a small parking lot that filled up shortly after they opened in the morning. You can find free street parking and walk a ways otherwise. The women's bathroom was strange in the sense that you walk in, and there's only one stall, with a sink outside the stall, so there was a long line of people waiting inside the bathroom for the one stall. I feel like for such a large and busy cafe, they should have more than one.

One of the best coffee spots in town. Their coffee is super yummy. In fact, we just bought a bag of their blend for the house. Their pastries are also super tasty! Always fresh, always yummy. Lastly the vibe is great! Inside or outside, awesome spots to chill in and enjoy a yummy cup of Joe.

This place is cute, not a crazy amount of seating but definitely en out high for a cute little coffee shop. Coffee was okay, and really I mean just meh and meh me not want to go back... Didn't love the service we got when going in. We walked up to the counter and were just stared at as if we were unwelcome. Person helping was not quite friendly or helpful Thought it was cute & quaint. From other reviews we were excited to experience the atmosphere and coffee but really we got mediocre coffee and bad service

Perfect place to study or catch up with friends in. Warm atmosphere and great service. The overall aesthetic was giving greek art museum/dark academia. Loved all the art on the walls and the dark decor. I got the lemon bread, pumpkin chai and a pumpkin bread to go! All were absolutely delicious. The bread was moist and not overpoweringly lemon. The pumpkin chai was amazing, again not overpowering on the flavor side but a perfect balance of the sweet pumpkin and spicy chai. I did try a lil of my friend's strawberry matcha and it surprised me! Most I've had either use a strawberry purée or apparent syrup, this had neither but it didn't taste like strawberry milk! 10/10 no notes. Very small parking lot but plenty of street parking

Neat coffee place with a greek theme. Lots of seating upstairs downstairs, indoors outdoors. We did not have any pastries but they looked pretty good. The matcha was okay with a blueberry twist. I might prefer a normal matcha more.

One of my favorite places in Houston. They have both coffee and wine available as well. The pastries are great! It is always busy but does not feel crowded. I love the eclectic Greek decorations and abundance of greenery in the place.

I wish I would've gotten more photos here because it was so beautiful but honestly so busy too! I had a spinach quiche and it was amazing! This would be a great spot to study or do work solo!

Decent. Coffee is average. The vibe is what makes it cool. Hard to get parking. Good to visit at least once. Friendly workers.

My ham and cheese croissant was delicious. Fresh made coffee, served as it should be- in a mug! Plenty of chairs with humans sitting in a groovy vibe!

I experienced this side of the business during the early phase of the Covid pandemic back in 2020. At the time, during lockdown, going to a wine bar or wine shop just wasn't top of mind. However, I had researched a Cabernet Franc (red wine) called Nicolas Reau Enlèvement Demandé Anjou [Vintage year: 2017]. Reau is kind of a rebel working in the Loire Valley of France who is interested in producing organic, biodynamic wines that are essentially closer to nature and processed differently--more artisanal, so to speak. I read about this wine and wanted to find a bottle locally, which wasn't an easy task as I recall. This is where Vinology comes in. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but had to have a bottle of this excellent wine. Like many people, I preferred to stay indoors during the early part of the pandemic and was kind of nervous about going out. When I called Vinology, I expressed my dilemma, and the guy on the other end of the phone came up with a great solution. He offered to deliver the bottle of wine I purchased to my address. I actually met him at the edge of the garage entrance to where I live. This was great, exceptional above and beyond service. I will always treasure and remember Vinology and plan to support the business more in the future. Hats off to the folks who own and run this wine establishment.

I've had my fair share of Paulie's but never had the chance to come to Camerata...until now. I had been missing out for so long! We journeyed from white to red wines throughout the night. We started out with the Babylonstoren, a chenin blanc from South Africa. We then moved into pink (rose) with the Ana Beirut - a blend of cab sauv, syrah, and tempranillo grapes with a bit of skin contact to give the wine the pink color. Lastly we ordered the Guelbenzu - a red blend of tempranillo, cab sauv, syrah, and graciano. This full-bodied red was the absolute fan favorite of the table. Food options are on the light side: meat & cheese boards, bread, and small bites. We started out with the warm bread - while it's normally served with butter, there's an option to switch that out with olive oil & herbs which is what we did. We then went for the meat & cheese platter. We couldn't decide on which meats or cheeses, so we did the option of ordering all 8! This came with 4 delicious meats and 4 tasty cheeses (from Houston Dairymaids), also with crispy fava beans, olives, pickles, and bread. This was a good amount for our group of 4 to share. Elena was our server and she was absolutely OUTSTANDING. She vibed with us throughout the night and made sure that we were well-taken care of. I loved her energy along with her vast knowledge of wines. We got plenty of good recommendations from her during our time there. I'm super sad that Houston will be losing this gem permanently at the end of the year (and even more sad that I only discovered it in the last month of its existence). The staff seemed to have a bit of a hipster vibe-- not unexpected given the Montrose area-- but were very friendly. They offered suggestions, but let us go with what we wanted to try. There's a food menu along with the drinks, but we were heading to the restaurant next door, so we passed on grabbing food. We ended up going with a couple of glasses of red and a couple of the specialty chocolates. My wife loved her salted caramel chocolate. I enjoyed my peppermint chocolate. For the glasses of wine, I've got better at home for bottles the same price as those glasses. My wife really enjoyed the vibe, but even if this place wasn't about to close down, I'm not sure I'd be coming back here often. It's just too hard to park.

It was and still is the perfect place to "WINE"-down and grab an delicious appetizer. Perfect to visit if solo, on a date, or with friends or colleagues after work. This quaint lounge setting offers bar seating, high top tables, lounge and booth seating, as well as patio seating overlooking a the beautiful tree-lined street. They also offer a separate room to host meetings or parties. Appetizers are delicious - I ordered their fried pickles and spinach dip. Just enough to hit the spot. For my cocktail, I selected the a classic apple martini (I know, "who still drinks those still?" Lol...I do...nothing wrong with a classic dahling). Great times and worth the check out. The service stood out right away, very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out extremely fast, which was a plus. As for the food, it was decent overall. The wings had good flavor, but the ranch was a bit watery and could definitely use more seasoning. The onion rings were also good, just needed a little extra seasoning to really bring them up a notch. Overall, it's a solid spot for happy hour with good prices, generous portions, and great service.
