This is just a first-rate place. We stayed 5 days/nights in August, 2025. The town below gets busy (as all northern Italian towns do, though Molveno perhaps less than many others), but "Agri," well above the town, was a peaceful refuge from crowds and heat (even in a heat wave the night cooled down for good sleeping). We ate at the restaurant every night and didn't tire of it. It's a place that's been in the family for generations. Young Matteo, English-speaking, and his parents are most hospitable and friendly. This all sounds too good to be true, but it was just what we needed. We landed in Milan jet-lagged, drove through the traffic of Lake Garda (it's beautiful, but not the only way to get to Molveno...), and "Agri" was just the place to rest up and get ready for further travel. Can't recommend it enough. read more
