They set up the appetizers out in the hallway when you walk in. Food was tasty and natural. It's a farm to table type of set up. My sister is vegetarian and wanted something as close to natural as she could find. The place where we had dinner was in another room that had a long table for all of us to sit at like a kings dinner. It's about a 40 minute drive outside if Rome. It's like a little farm in the countryside. Very peaceful and relaxing. Was nice to get outside of the busy crowded city and away from all the tourists. Very memorable and private.

Honestly, my mother should write this review - she hasn't stopped telling me what a fairytale it…read morewas to experience 3 days of wedding festivities here, and it's been nearly two months since. That alone made me thrilled to have selected the Borgo for my wedding! This beautiful farmstay is about 30 minutes from the city (Rome). Once you arrive, you can literally feel the mayhem of the city and any concerns just melt away. It's serene, it's lush, the air is fresh and the accommodations are comfortable. The entire staff are among the most accommodating hosts I've ever met and put me at total ease when making decisions, changing plans, or dealing with unexpected issues. They were also just incredibly kind to me, my husband, and our guests. We got married at the end of December and it was still beautiful (especially the light at dusk), so I can only imagine how lush and romantic any other time of year is here. This is a charming location for a special event - they will accommodate a large or small party. The food was beyond delicious (especially because I hadn't eaten pasta, dairy, or sweets for months before arriving) and the wine was always fantastic (I think we depleted their stock;)). The farm area is set back from the buildings - about 5+ minutes walk following a path - and it was such a pleasure to greet the goats, chickens, pigs, and rabbits during a morning walk (also perfect if you have children with you). Mind you, if you're considering the Borgo as a wedding venue, it's quite reasonably priced - and it's an experience you will never forget. In fact, we would have easily spent double to host our guests back in NYC for 1/3 of the time (we were there three days). As you can tell, we're totally enchanted! In fact, our friends want to come back in a few years time to do it all again:)

They informed us that our room was ready early so we could crash from a long flight from Vegas, Ft Lauderdale, New York, to Rome. We went to bed and didn't get up till the next morning. Jet lag sucks, lol. We went to Pizzeria del Getto. Post review for them too. Would recommend and use again. When you come, pay in cash if possible. They prefer it.

Found this spot on Trip Advisor and would like to share it with my fellow Yelpers. We were looking for our hotel which was walking distance from the train station but had a hard time finding it due to lack of street signs. Don't try finding this place at night unless you know where you're going. My boyfriend and I walked around for quite a bit with no luck so we walked back to the train station and were able to get a cab to take us there. Again, it's hard to find at night so cab it instead. Our room was cozy and we were able to sleep well. There was no blow dryer, so make sure to bring your own and an adapter. Unfortunately, I blew out my hair straightener which left me without one for about 3 weeks while traveling throughout Europe (but that's a different story) ha! Just make sure your straightener has dual voltage and you'll be fine. Make sure to have Euros. When we paid, the preferred method of payment was in cash. The owner Rosanna was very sweet and asked how our stay was. Very hospitable. She even offered us something to eat before we headed out. We had to leave to catch our ship, but thanked her for her hospitality.

Fiumicino, Italy…read more "Hotel Around Fig Tree" is what the name of this hotel means, and there is a beautiful healthy fig tree center stage as you walk onto the property. The figs were small and green, just emerging during mid September, we missed their peak stage by about a month. *small but clean quaint property *comfortable beds-no frills but adequate and minimalist with modern flare *rooftop lounge with ocean views? (I missed it!) *dining on site, breakfast included with stay-more than adequate! *minutes from airport shuttle available *great shampoo, wish they sold it! *a few blocks walk to the ocean/beach DH chose this hotel as a resting place after our flight into Fiumicino, Italy. After a long flight, and a Garmin inability to find this place, we finally put in the name of the street and came right upon the hotel (print out directions prior to arriving or use google maps). The hotel also has a shuttle if needed which many guests were taking advantage of, its only minutes away from the airport. We just needed a place to rest for a night before heading north, this is located about 30 minutes from Rome City Center. We arrived on property about 8:30 in the evening and were so glad to be greeted by Stefano and offered dinner at the hotel if we were so inclined, to allow us not have to go out after a long day of travel. We dined al fresco while Stefano warmed my husbands favorite lasagna of the trip (the hotel has a chef who comes in and preps the food). Stefano also made us a mushroom pizza and garnished with fresh basil from the herb garden in the patio. We dined with a sweet Italian couple from NY who also loved the quaint feel of the property, they ordered the pizza and some meatballs and said the meatballs were good. They too, were staying for one night on the tail end of their trip, they had dropped their rental car off and would be shuttled to the airport by hotel staff for their early AM flight, The outside of the street area (street parking) is within a neighborhood which looks slightly sketch but was safe for us. There were many local teens walking around, looked to be the typical Italian city back road neighborhood. The property itself is gated. We would return to this property.

Very cosy, nice cool rooms, the Pizza is off the charts…read more.. Simply a small Hotel with great yard
