Definitely one of the worst hair cuts I've ever had in my life. People asking me if I let a child practice their first cut. Larry was the one to "cut my hair" and it looks horrible. As stated before definitely one of the worst haircuts I've had in my lifetime other than Koreans cutting it over seas. Made an appointment for 10:30. I arrived a few minutes early and was asked if I had an appointment. I said yes with Donny. I was told he wasn't in yet. At 10:35 I asked if he was in yet and was told no. One employee said he didn't show yesterday. I asked if anyone else was available and the only one to speak up said Amber you're up and she replied she has a customer coming in 10 minutes. I have been taking both my boys here for a few years. If u want a stellar cut or fade I recommend Savannah. She is professional and takes her time with her work, and makes my kids feel comfortable. I took my 8YO in tonight for the first time, we just moved from Las Vegas and don't have any recommendations/etc. Aguilar's was close, and we were able to make an appointment online for about 45min away. We arrived and our barber was busy with another customer, but let us know we would be taken care of. We did wait about 30min, but we weren't in any hurry. Larry was our barber, was intent on providing the cut we wanted, and asked questions. He then went to work, made my kid very comfortable, and took his time to do it correctly. I came to leave a review simply on the fact my son has not stopped talking about his haircut, how cool it is, and how he can't wait to show the other kids at school tomorrow. Went in for a low fade came out with no fade and my hair all messed up. Lady was friendly, cut look decent from the front until I got a better look at the back. The sides are faded but what's a fade when the back is all cut. Probably worst cut I ever gotten. Will be wearing a baseball cap until my hair grows back. read more

Nick called me up for the haircut and was going well with what I wanted (fade and hard part) until he trimmed my eyebrows without asking. Would have been a better rating without that mistake. When you enter a place and it reminds you of home, then you know a business has done something right and thats what Aguilar Barber Styling has done for me. Been about 5 weeks since I've needed a cut and several years since I've stepped into a barber shop so this was one for the record books ladies and gents but I'm happy to say this was a very memorable experience for myself and hopefully for you too! Rolling up to the venue, this place is on the west side of town in a little plaza with tons of other businesses so if you want to knock out two birds or three then this is a convenient area to find yourself in! There is plenty of parking but the days are often times very nice so you could also enjoy a nice bike ride to the shop. When you walk in, there is a lot to appreciate about the interior. It's simple, friendly and overall positive in vibes and thats a plus in my book. You can set an appointment or if you don't mind waiting a bit then walk on in, sign your name and enjoy the music. For sure did I enjoy that, a little mix of old school and new school hip hop set the mood right. Getting called up after a little wait, RaeAnn took care of me and helped clarify some of the lingo that goes on with haircuts so I knew what to look forward to and have a decent idea of how I wanted to get my hair cut. I decided on skin tapering the sides and lined up the rest leaving the top to grow out a bit. I'd forgotten how relaxing getting a haircut was so I was enjoying every second of it. Occasionally she'd turn me over to the large mirror for input and work with me towards what I was looking for. Sitting back and enjoying, there were photos lining the wall, jerseys and calendars of favorite football teams, Suavecito posters and other treats that I found added character to the place. This wasn't just some Average, Super, Ultra or Mega cuts corporate copy, this was a genuine, ground up, operation created with the customer AND employee in mind. Getting to enjoy some nice chit chat with my barber, getting to talk with the other barbers just about their days, and hearing some of the conversations between the other barbers and stylists as well, I could feel like I was more than a customer, but part of the community. Talking about our days, our interests, hearing the 'chisme' and what the news is on the town, it felt like going to hangout with some friends on the weekend and OH-I-also-happened-to-get-a-haircut-as-well kind of feel. I could see on the faces of the customers they were enjoying their own silent haircuts while others were enjoying their conversations equally as much. In my opinion, when a business offers more of an experience first and then excellent service to top it off, they've really succeeded. The prices were indeed reasonable as I've come to find out that $17 for an adult cut is not bad at all after inquiring with some of my friends back home. If you have younger kiddos then it's even cheaper so you know you're getting your money's worth! Make sure to leave a nice tip if you find yourself satisfied to show your appreciation to you barber! They also take card if you don't have cash for your convenience. All-in-all, Aguilar's sold me on the experience, creative art, and the wonderful service so I say bravo to ABS and awesome on the team they have on hand. Great Stylist & Prices!!! The kiddos really needed hair cuts. So of course since we were in the area and though I am unfamiliar with this town, I of course used Yelp to guide me to Aguilar's. Pretty easy to find and located within a strip mall, Aguilar's is a very large location taking up three spaces in the strip mall. We signed in since we did not have appointments, and fortunately the wait was not too long at all (They have several stylist). Both of the nuggets got their hair cuts, and both of their stylist made sure to double check with me on their neck lines, etc. The pricing was very reasonable at $14 each, and the kids were very happy with their haircuts. Everyone in Aguilar's was very friendly & welcoming, I will be sure to come back here the next time the kiddos need to a trim. read more

Good haircut. Not so good straight edge beard shave/line up. The haircut was well worth the wait and for the value. ($14 men's haircut is pretty good in my book). My barber took their time and made sure my the hair was symmetrically cut and tapered. The beard straight shave and line-up was not the best. I had to go home and re-align it as well as reshave because of patches. She only used hot shaving cream without waiting enough for it to sink into my skin (at least it felt that way). No big deal, except I specifically asked if anyone was available that did fantastic beard straight edges. To my disappointment, the lady who took me said she was just as good as anyone in the shop so..........I certainly hope that was a lie. It's been really hard finding a good barber to do a detailed beard trim and line up in this city as well as Denver and Colorado Springs! I took my son for his very first hair cut and would ONLY let them do it here! I went to school with Brian and knowing he comes from a long line of barbers I would definitely only trust him with my sons hair! Like I said this was my little Santiagos very first hair cut so of course he was fussy and scared. Brian and the others put my son at ease so we could get him a nice even cut! He was very patient with us and made sure my son was comfy and that he got a great cut! It took a little while, but he did not complain and treated us very good! Always go to local places! Here theyre all family (even if not by blood) their fundamentals and the way they treat their clients is amazing! Theyre like extended family and know what type of cut they want! This of course has never got in the way of how professional their demeanor is! BEST SHOP IN TOWN! my mother cut my hair for my entire life (she was a professional barber), she passed away and no one ANYWHERE could even come close to how good she cut my hair. I went to so many mom and pop shops, cost cutters, supercuts....you name it, I tried it. I was getting sick and tired of not getting even close to what I wanted (it took me 2 years to find someone good). I then remembered a conversation that my mom and I had about shops in town. She told me that Aguilars was always really good. So I went there. I am so glad that I did. I have not gone anywhere else since. Hands down best shop in town. I get the cleanest fade here. I will never give my business to this local barbershop again. When it's empty for a walk in no one greets you. They offer walk-ins but "push" scheduling. We've never minded waiting the crazy long walk in wait time. Later found out the student barber we got was lost and looked clueless. Asked us what we wanted & got nothing of what we asked. The fade took over an hour & the owner had to step in a couple times to help. The owner was completely irritated. Finally having enough we were then scolded by the owner (in front of a busy barbershop) that our child's hair was too difficult & we should have scheduled with him. We left horrified & our child ended up with razor burn from it being applied too many time over an hour time. I paid, tipped & will never step foot in there again! Unprofessional 100%! read more
