No firearms, obviously. But otherwise, it was very similar to Academy Sports and Dick's Sporting Goods. Organized by department based on the sport. Tennis, golf, raquetball, running shoes, exercise wear, etc. Everything had pretty clear looking prices and while the store was super busy on a Saturday night, it was well stocked and pretty tidy.

These stores are all over Spain. Some are tiny shops with a little bit of everything (eg the Puerto…read moredel Sol store in Madrid), others are huge multi-floor got-it-all REI-style megastores with long aisles of shoes, clothing, outdoor gear and sports equipment for any sport you choose (eg Bilbao). Prices are excellent. I needed an extra fold-up duffel to haul clothing displaced by souvenir purchases. They had multiple sizes and colors - good quality at surprisingly low prices - 5 to 10 euros. There's a parking garage below as well. The first two hours are free. Vans, H & M, a sun glasses store, a candy store, Tattoo and Piercings place, and a bunch of other places. There's also a movie theater here and a few sit down restaurants and a few fast food places. There is a supermarket on the lower level as well which is very convenient.

Its name literally translated means "The English Cut" referring to its origins as a men's suit shop in Madrid specializing in English styles. One of my favorite things to do overseas is hangout in the supermarkets. I love seeing the local cheeses and meats in the deli -- you can even ask for samples sometimes. Love perusing the spice aisles and seeing the different wines and liqueurs. El Corte Ingles had the best supermarket hands down. Great selection of regional products, their self-branded items are quality as well. I bought several tins of their smoked paprika as gifts. What surprised me were that the prices weren't exceptionally high. I treated myself to a tin of duck and truffle pâté, can't wait to open this one up. I could easily spend a small fortune here as the merchandise is well-curated and on a hot Spanish summer day, it's nice to peruse in an airconditioned space.

It was delicious. 13.5% Specialty items. Clean and convenient. Great check out experience. The next day, I walked around the main floor and the 5th floor ladies clothing and children's wear. Staff is friendly and helpful and take the hygiene during Covid-19 very serious. Bought a bunch of small purses (big enough for a wallet, some keys and the cell phone) and quite some pairs of shoes. They have a nice selection of trendy sneakers. The quality isn't on par with the big and expensive brands. But for 15-20 Euros a pair it's still a great deal here. A funy little shop. Bring some time with and you'll find something. Fun to just browse in here as well.
