This review is of the interaction of the office and the estimater…read more I booked an appointment and was as flexible as a person can be that works standard hours. The soonest opening that worked was a couple of days ahead and I only had one a meeting that I could not move. So we set a hard start time to give me plenty of time and explain that I wanted to walk thru it all with the estimater. I get a phone call telling me that he is 5 minutes out nearly 45 minutes before the appointment time. I explain that it is impossible for me to leave and that I cannot talk as it is during the one meeting that I could not rebook. I get out of the meeting and race home, to which he is there and completely done with the estimate... Without asking me a single question. He goes through the motions of changing the estimate based on what I tell him and then hands me an estimate that had work on it I specifically said I did not want. He said that he would need to send me an updated estimate after he got to the office/home to check prices. I accepted it as he will roll the updates to the original all at once and he was just trying to ball park it for me. He tells me it will be a couple of days for the new one to be mailed to me. Great! Nearly week goes by and nothing. I get an email from the company asking if I wanted to get it on the books because they are filling up. I explained about the follow up estimate and she says she will look into it. She sends me an email with the original estimate and asking about scheduling. I walk her through what's missing and what is there that shouldn't. She says that I needed to tell that to the guy when he was here. I did, he took notes... I go so far as to mark up the estimate with corrections and email it back to her. I get a new one a couple days later with an add but not all nor a single take away item removed. Rinse repeat, add a snippy message, and that is the story of how I did not use for my roofing when I had cash on hand to pay for it.

Next afternoon, I Called as to the quote status & was formed by another employee " i'm not Ryan and don't know what his plans are, but he'll get to you eventually". And that "he'll get to it eventually, it's only been a day". I'm still waiting! I have 3 days invested into this company & nothing. If you don't want business, don't promise what you're not gonna deliver. Called a competitor, got a quote over the phone and next day installation (lower than quote too!!!). Will never recommend Rhinos, but sure will recommend the competition!!

I was stunned. I checked Craig's List as a last resort and happened on Simon & Son Lawn Care. After looking at our yard they told me their minimum fee was $25, which was a whole lot more tolerable. I hired them immediately. Simon & Son has already finished our Spring clean up and I just called them to start mowing for the Spring/Summer season. They did an excellent job. They were careful of all my plants, yet they got all the leaves from under our deck in the backyard. They picked up all the sticks and branches that had fallen over the winter and got all the leaves from under the pine trees near the road. There are bigger lawn companies in Kalamazoo, but they charge almost twice as much to do the exact same job and they pressured me to fertilize, seed and water before I had even hired them. We are very happy to have a small, locally owned, and efficient company taking care of our lawn again.
