We chose a five course dinner menu each, paired with a selection of local wines. Full disclosure: we have lived in Asia and I grew up there and we love the depth and richness of flavours the local cuisine has to offer. This here, however, is not your down to earth Asian cooking style, this here is art. Each dish started by playing with our memories, taking us back to flavours we experienced in the past, pleasing our tastebuds, traveling in our minds. Then, however, comes this one, overlooked and unexpected ingredient, which joins all previous tastes into one symphony of flavour. That is what makes this gem of a restaurant unique and worth every travel. The wine pairing was impressive and well chosen. All five wines emphasized the depth of the flavours without a hint of diversion from the perfect route to culinary heaven. We loved it and will certainly be there again.

This was one of the only hotel booking.com had available on the "Romatic Rhein" so I took it for $60/night-single, breakfast included with all the European delights. The offer free parking but is out of the main town directly across from a camping site which takes the view away from the hotel a bit. Can walk into the main town which is really charming with a great Italian restaurant, Alla Fontana. High recommend. Here the twist. The train goes by every 20 min. All night and is super loud as the hotel abuts the tracks. I slept mostly they it so make sure you are super tired before booking here. There are a lot of other options up and down this part of the Rhein, suggest trying those first. Free bike provided for the day and also free wifi although a bit unreliable. I do recommend this place just beware of my review. Prost!

The head waiter had a bit of an attitude, but that was easily forgiven when he delivered. We will definitely go again, and yes, we would do a 30 min detour just to dine here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars). Thankfully, the place is only 15 mins from our German residence :-) By the way: the place was packed, table reservation is recommended.

Substituted a salad for the spaghetti. Homemade desserts, friendly service. Highly recommended. Sat on the outside terrace along the river.
