I'm upset having to write this review. I don't write bad reviews either. I usually just don't go back, but I need to warn everyone about this place. Around 5pm I took my car in from out of state that was in perfect running condition for an emissions inspection and vin verification. Took about 20 minutes for them to finish, however, they forgot the vin verification. I paid for the inspection while the inspector had made me wait to get a vin verification. The moment I got my car back I noticed three things, REDUCED ENGINE POWER, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, TRACTION CONTROL DISABLED. I mentioned this to inspector as soon as he came back for the vin verification. He told me "Don't worry, we set that code off on purpose for testing. It should reset itself after driving, if not bring it in and we'll clear it for you". Mind you they passed the emissions test with NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. After i finished the vin verification I drove my car. It wouldn't go past 2000rpm making it dramatically slow. I drive this way for about a day hoping it would clear, but no. I took the car back 12/21/2022 at 8-9am to Colorado air care to see if they can clear the code. They refused to touch my car and told me to file a claim with their adjuster. Now, I have no car and they're saying if they find anything EVEN IF ITS NOT RELATED TO THE ENGINE ISSUE I AM RESPONSIBLE. I will keep updating this review as I get more information.

They were so efficient, no line, quick in and out. Normally i notice they have a very long line so just have picked a great day.

Waste of time...you do not have to wait in line for a VIN inspection but there is no sign! Had to wait twice.

The sign said 28 minutes wait but it seemed less than that. All lines were moving. Just as I entered they opened two more lanes.

They were terrible and after an hour of rudeness from them just waiting in line, we left and went across town to the Air Care location on East Warren.

My beloved car flunked emissions!!! The OBD-II said it was the gas cap, after the "Check Engine"…read morelight appeared. So I went to Auto Zone. $25 for a new gas cap. Got one for $10 and went through emissions testing. FAIL! Aieeeee. I got a 30-day extension for temp tags, but went out of town for two weeks. Came back, and threw myself on the mercy of the DMV. A wonderful, kind, helpful lady named Karen told me that another extension wasn't possible, BUT I could get a FREE DIAGNOSTIC TEST from the State!!! And possibly a one-year waiver! Bite me, dealer who wanted $296. I made an appointment for Friday, which was the earliest available, and also the day my temp tags expired. Ack! I had to bring my failed emissions test paperwork. I was greeted by a very nice lady, checked in, and directed to a spacious waiting room with a TV, magazines, and comfy chairs! I had settled in and was happily reading a magazine, when Mark came in and sat down. He said that the problem, as stated on the paperwork, was the gas cap. I said, nah, it's not the cap. I replaced the cap. He patiently told me that they run a specific test on the cap, and mine failed the test. He then asked where I got it, and I said, "Amazon." He said, that explains it. Told me to go to a reputable auto parts store Mark was AMAZING. He's employed by the CO Dept of Health, and has been a mechanic for 40 years. He explained that Air Care Colorado is a subcontractor for the testing. He also explained that since the State services are free, they can't do repairs etc. He answered ALL my questions, of which there were many. I said that I would never have known about this service if it wasn't for the wonderful DMV agent. He said that they can't (or don't) advertise. They're located right next to the emissions testing place. I asked what would happen if I got a new cap and the car flunked again. He said, "Then you come back and see me." I got a new gas cap, went through the emissions testing again, and PASSED. Dealer had said it might be a valve thing and could cost $1500-5000 to fix. Smh. $30 for a gas cap, and done. I cannot overstate how GREAT this service, and these people (Mark and nice lady) are. If your "Check Engine" light comes on, and/or your car flunks emissions in Southeast metro Denver, this is the place to go. Call for an appointment. I don't think that they take walk-ins.

He purposefully embarrassed me in front of other customers. Because it went so wrong the first time I was there and I needed to go back with a new gas cap, I waited till the next day to go back thinking maybe Bryan was having a bad day just like me. when I returned the next day, I was very polite and he was a complete jerk to me in front of the entire waiting room full of people I will never go back and Bryan should not be in the customer service industry. He's either tired of it or he's never been good at it.

I needed to resolve it before I went to register my new vehicle. I walk into the office which had a window and Charles was sitting at the desk with his head turned. I said "Hello?" and he did not react. I said "Hello?" a little louder to which he did not react. I thought he could not hear me through the glass. I proceeded to a door that led to the testing area but it said "Employees Only" so I didn't enter. I went back to the window and saw a sign saying to ring the bell for service. I rang it but I didn't hear it ring.....still no reaction from Charles. It appeared that he didn't know I was there. I proceeded to knock on the glass at which point Charles turned towards me and rudely stated in a condescending tone, "I'm in a meeting. You need to sit down and wait!" I'm not sure who Charles thinks he is but he could have simply lifted a finger gesturing to me that he will be with me when he can. He was so rude that I asked for his name and he grumbled something unintelligible. He then turned towards continue to ignore me. I saw the side door to the office (which said nothing about no entry) and opened it to ask him his name again. When I opened the door, he threatened me. I told him I didn't hear his name to which he said "You have 30 seconds..." I asked him "Thirty seconds for what?" not knowing if he was going to assault me, shoot me or what. He said "Until I call the police." I told him to go ahead and call the police. Completely rude and unprofessional behavior from someone that is the manager nonetheless. The photo below is what Charles looked like the entire time I was trying to get his attention. I would say that I would recommend this Air Care Colorado for emissions testing because the technicians have always been nice, but if you need to deal with Charles, be cautious.
