I ended up calling them on two separate occasions on the same day. The reason for that was because even though they say they have 24 hours service, no one has called me back within the last 12 hours. Based on the fact that my one star review is not much lower than their other reviews I feel like this should greatly be taken into consideration. Plumbing is pretty basic so I can't comment on what they can do as far as that is concerned because I've never worked with them. I tried on multiple occasions but they felt that it really wasn't necessary to come to my house. When your AC dies in July, you need relief quickly. Enter Air Comfort Solutions to save the day. My husband called around 3 p.m. and was told we would be added to the waiting list. He was told that we would not be charged extra for an after hours visit, and someone would make it by our house that night. A technician knocked on our door at 10 p.m. He took a look at our furnace and invited us to come inspect the outside unit with him. My engineer husband loved this and learned a lot about AC functionality and maintenance. Luckily it was a quick fix, and our ACS technician had our house cooling off within a few minutes. When it came time to check out, we were presented with a larger bill than was quoted to my husband on the phone. He brought this up, and the lower quoted price factored in a coupon that the final bill did not factor in. Our tech allowed us to present the coupon (which can be found on the ACS website), and we paid the initial quoted cost. This could have been communicated better over the phone in the initial quote. I am happy that ACS was able to send someone out the same evening we requested service, but a seven hour wait without fully functioning AC was a long time. I understand service is slower for evening requests, but 10 pm is pretty late for us. I wish this late time would have been fully communicated to us, and we could have stayed with family overnight and scheduled a time to fix the issue the next day. read more

At 9:30 the day of appointment they called and said they couldn't make the appointment wanted to know if I wanted to reschedule. I had them come out last year for an annual service and the tech told me my condenser motor was about to go out and he tried to sell me on a Sevice plan. I said no. I didn't tell him I was an AC and Heat Tech and just wanted the $59 tune up and didn't want to do it myself. Nothing was wrong with the system. They came back out today and serviced a perfectly operating system and the tech said everything looked great (same motor in place). Basically, I got the impression it's hit or miss. The techs work on commission and if they mess ya over they make more money, so your totally subject to the integrity of the tech. Overall, The odds of getting taken to the cleaners is high if you don't have a background in Heat and AC. I don't think there much different from most Heat and air services but do think you'll likely get taken to the cleaners by having them visit. read more

I cannot believe how this company just straight up took $357 for no work done , I can see paying for the service charge (which they said was $89 , but they took $357 from me and did not unstop my drain , I have all the paperwork where another plumber came and unstop my drain, he did not let me know until he had my debit card, this is so depressing to me as I'm on social security and a widower and they took my money and didn't do the work, how can you beat a senior citizen out of her social security, l am so upset, I pray that this doesn't happen to no other senior citizen, I'm going to go to small claims court. read more

Not only did they NOT fix the unit, they condemned it and told me if I did not replace the unit, my dog would die - then I would die - then by the time the fire department got there, we'd all be dead and they don't want that guilt. Crooked crooks. They took advantage of my neighbor with dementia. They had just been out a month or two prior, so I thought it was odd. Went over there, they were trying to get her to renew her service plan, which they said was still good. No proof of when it would expire, and charged her 125/129 for replacing a capacitor that most likely didn't need it (this was in February). (The capacitor was a $25 piece!) They removed a service charge, and the service contract fee from her bill, wish I'd been there earlier before the capacitor was changed. Reducing her bill by around $250! She never called them for a service call, but they just came out! Go some where else!! read more

I booked an appointment for electrical service for May 19, 2022, between 8 am and 12 noon. I called at 8:30 am May 19 to confirm I was on the schedule and could expect the technician. Erica, the receptionist confirmed the appointment was scheduled for today, Thursday, May 19th. At 11:30 am, I called again and asked Erica to tell me when I could expect the technician and asked if she could confirm who the technician would be - she deferred to Lisa - who she said was the manager of the area - and indicated Lisa would call me in a few minutes. One hour later, Lisa called to inform me that a technician would not be coming for the scheduled service call today - she failed to assign a technician to the scheduled appointment! I wasted all morning waiting for service which had not even been assigned to a technician! I booked the appointment one week ago on May 12th and the manager in charge failed to assign a person to do the work? I only wish a zero star rating was available because 1 star is overrated! read more

They are beyond rude and unprofessional. Instead of wanting to fix the problem (which was very repairable, it was thermostat batteries) they tried to push my fiancee into getting a new system. They talked him into a protection plan, which he cancelled two days later. They still charged him the next month for what he already cancelled. Today, we get a text stating a tech was on his way. My fiancee called them and told them he cancelled in February. The woman on the phone was very snotty and said "Well, I guess I'm going to have to waste MY time and call all of my techs to not come to your house" and hung up on him. I have been an Air Comfort solutions customer for over 30 years. The first 25 years were at an older home in Piedmont and they did regular tuneups and repairs to our heat pump, installed a new heat & air system w/heat pump and were generally efficient, courteous and good at their jobs. Five years ago, we bought a newer home in Piedmont. On December 22, 2017, our heater went out. We called for a repair. The part had to be ordered and would not be in for at least 8 days because of the holidays. They suggested we have a new heat & air system installed. We did and they were able to do it that evening. Come Spring 2018 and our AC did not work. They came out and said, "Oh! It was never hooked up!" They hooked it up and it worked. Had regular tuneups Spring & Fall for 2018 - 2021. In June 2021, the capacitor went out. They replaced it, no charge for the part but a charge for labor. Also did the tuneup. Regular heater tuneup in February 2022. Tried to schedule AC tuneup in May of 2022. Couldn't schedule until mid-September. Called another company. They scheduled for the end of July and had to reschedule for today (8/10) because of emergencies due to the excessive heat. New company came out and the capacitor that was installed last year is shot. The end is bowed out and it was ready to blow. Should be reading at 30.5/5 . Is reading 30.3/3.7. Had that replaced. Also, the AC was never charged to full when installed. It is charged now and cools so much better! Also added a hard start device that stops it from sounding like a 747 when it turns on (had asked about that with ACS for the last 2 years) and stops it from clunking when it stops (also mentioned to ACs the last 2 years). Will not be calling ACS for anything in the foreseeable future. Long term customers don't seem to mean anything to the technicians they send out. And, the technicians seem to decide on a problem to fix, and charge the customer for, without listening to the customer. read more

Made the mistake of scheduling a checkup on our a/c. The tech told us there was a freon leak among other problems. Surprise, surprise their solution was a new system. It was as if the salesman had been waiting down the block. He was there that fast! That seems to be the pattern. The tech said that within the week we would have a hot house. Amazingly, and right on schedule, it happened. We called a company recommended by a friend. They were at our house in 30 minutes. No leak! Added freon and cool air again. Called them out to service my A/C. When they arrived they jumped straight to work, and within a minute they informed me that there was a leak that they couldn't find, and if I filled it with Freon it would leak out instantly. They charged $620 for a fill up BTW. They quoted me $8,000 for a new system. Being skeptical I called another guy out to look at it, and lo and behold! He pumped it full of Freon, and there was NO LEAK. Not to mention he only charged me $375 to fill it up.. it's been several days, and I've had no problems. The 2nd guy also assured me that a new unit would only cost me $4,000-5,000, including labor, if I did end up needing one. Air Comfort Solutions are seriously ripping off uninformed people. My new air and heat were installed on January 16, 2019 and I am still dissatisfied with the installation. They have been unable to rectify temperature controls from room to room in my house. I had a brand new air conditioner installed by Air Comfort Solutions in July, 2015. Mine failed on a Sunday afternoon less than a week before my wedding, and out of town guests had already started arriving, so I was in a serious time crunch. Air Comfort Solutions came out on Sunday to troubleshoot and were here on Monday morning installing a brand new unit, which was truly needed. The fan had separated from the shaft and sliced the condenser coils in multiple places as it was spinning to the ground, so this wasn't one of their scams where they claimed a new unit was needed when an old one could have been repaired. The new unit was a York LX split unit with a 10 year warranty on the compressor and parts. After the fact, I realize I could have had a new unit installed much cheaper, but that error is on me for not shopping around. I had a whole lot going on that week and just didn't make the time to be diligent in my decision, but I did enjoy Jason White calling me to discuss how everything went. On Sunday, May 13th, 2018, I heard a funny noise coming from the condenser. I pulled the disconnect on the condenser and found a sizable crack in the fan blade. Not wanting a repeat of my last fan trouble with the old unit, I called Air Comfort Solutions and told them my condenser fan blade had a huge crack in it, and the dispatcher said a tech wouldn't be available until Monday. We agreed on a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. window that would work with my schedule, and we discussed this should be a warranty repair. The tech didn't arrive until 3:13 p.m., looked at the condenser, and told me I would need a new fan blade. I told him I had already explained all of that the day before to the dispatcher, and he told me that the only information he received was "no cool." I told him it was still under warranty, and he said he'd go to his truck to figure out what he needed to do to get it fixed. He came back in and told me that there was a 10 year warranty, but since I hadn't paid for their Energy Saving Agreement (at a cost of $179 per year), I would be on the hook for the $400 fan blade. I told him there was no way that fan blade costs $400, and he assured me it did. He said the better alternative would be for me to pay for the Energy Savings Agreement at $179 to cover the warranty repair, and they could have a new fan blade installed on Tuesday. Without having the warranty paperwork in front of me to dispute him with, I agreed to that course of action, signed the papers, and he left. I started doing my own research and called Johnson Controls, the company that makes York air conditioners. As it turns out, there is no requirement to have any type of service contract to maintain the warranty, and the 10 year warranty covers all parts, but I would have to pay for the labor. I called another York authorized installer who said he would be able to do the install for $83, but he would have to wait 3-5 business days for a fan to be shipped to him. That was too long for me to be without air conditioning, so I decided to just bite the bullet and wait on Air Comfort Solutions. On Tuesday morning, Air Comfort Solutions called to let me know that the order went in too late on Monday afternoon for them to have overnight delivery to them by Tuesday, so I would have to wait until Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon, I called to find out when they would be out to do the install. I was then told there weren't any fans at the York parts distribution center, and they were all on back-order from the the factory. They said if the factory received them by Friday, I might be back up and running by Monday or Tuesday of the next week. I told them that was unacceptable and needed another solution. They told me that it was my fault this problem happened because I didn't have their annual service agreement, stating that their technicians could have spotted this trouble before it became a problem. I told them they were out of their minds and than I needed to speak to a manager. They said they would have their service manager call me. To make a short story long, I found the fan on Amazon.com for $76.99 and another authorized York dealer will install it for $83. Everything from Air Comfort Solutions was lies. When the service manager finally called me back, I cussed him until he hung up on me, then I sent them a message on their website demanding a refund for the $179 I had paid them on Monday. If I have to, I'll dispute the charge with my credit card company to get the refund. Air Comfort Solutions will never get another dime of my money. I didn't realize until today that the Better Business Bureau had revoked their accreditation. One of their ploys to get you to buy a new unit is to offer financing. Don't fall for it. If you qualify for financing through them, your local bank should finance you as well on a similar unit, and the money you save having a reputable company do the install will save you on financing as well. read more

I had Air Comfort Solutions come out in January to install a new Hot Water Tank. They were quick and did a good job and charged me $1595. A lot of money but i had to have it. Then they had to come back out a couple of weeks later because the heat would not stay on because they had put my doors on incorrect. They came out and fixed that with no charge. Also had a salesman come out to sell me a new unit. The price was an outrage. So they called the owner because they care about people and the off brand was also an outrage. So i said thank you and goodby. Today I had to have them come out to fix a pedestal sink that was leaking underneath because I had bumped it pretty hard. The cost was $99.95 with a d $25.00 coupon. So I said yes. Expecting $74.95. Of course they had to get a part. That took and hour. The cost was $167.00. When I asked why they said well labor and parts. This was $167.00 with $25.00 off. I have had this sink fixed before and never was it anything this high. Beware of their charges. read more

I haven't used Air Comfort for any work on my HVAC (yet), but I know the previous owners of the house I'm living in did, and they loved them. I HAVE, however, used them for a plumbing problem. We found that a nail was pounded into a pipe running through an interior wall. When it came out, so did a whole lot of water... in our dining room. We called Air Comfort, and they had a couple guys out in about an hour. On a Sunday. These men were respectful and informative. They fixed the problem quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I have also had Air Comfort come out for check ups on our HVAC system. They provided us with details on system performance, as well as things to watch out for. After my two experiences with them, I never once felt they were trying to cheat me out of my money, or sell me something that wasn't necessary. I feel very comfortable using them with all my HVAC needs. I have extended family that also uses Air Comfort, and have had very large projects done by them. They are incredibly happy with the work and service. read more

I initially called Air Comfort Solutions because my furnace blower was not working. They said the service call would cover the cost of all necessary labor to do the repair and I would only pay for the parts. That seemed fair. I asked how much a blower cost and the lady said only the driver could provide a price. While waiting for them to come out I called two other heating suppliers -- one quoted me $450 for part installed and the other quoted me $225 for the part installed. I figured that Air Comfort Solutions would be in the ballpark price wise so I did not cancel the appointment. As soon as the service man arrived I asked him the price and he said $715 on top of the service call. Imagine my surprise. I asked him to leave. He did not do any work while he was here but Air Comfort still pursued the collection of the $130 service call with an attorney. read more

Sketchy!! Called to get a quote for a new gas furnace. The representative scribbled out a quote on notebook paper!! No logo...just normal lined notebook paper. The "quote" was a random assortment of number that weren't even added correctly. No info about size or efficiency of the unit. No info about warranty. The price for the furnace was $2K higher than other quotes, and the price for the full HVAC replacement was $11K higher than other quotes! Yet, he had the nerve to say they were "only about $500 higher than other companies". LIAR! I seriously think he wrote down inflated numbers and was going to pocket the difference. On the day of my appt a used car salesman disguised as a heat and air technician showed up! He quoted me 2900.00 for a new water tank and to bring it up to code ( I live in Logan county so it didn't need to be elevated a certain height off the ground and I didn't want to pay for that also!) Next morning at 9a they were here with a new water heater that had to be RELOCATED from the attic to a closet. they were fast, efficient and friendly, did a great job and cleaned the house when they were done. great quote and left 2 hours later. so far, couldn't be happier. read more

This is not the place to purchase your A/C. 1 they want provide warranty service to you on new purchases unless you purchase a yearly service from them. They will still sale u the product and speak of the warrant but not honor it because u didn't buy a yearly service with them. Even if you buy a new product from them and purchase yearly service from some where else they still want provide warranty to your new product, ripoff. ACS installed a run of the mill water heater for my 97 year old WWII veteran father-in-law. The cost? Well over $2,000. My husband and I had another plumbing company - Jean's Plumbing - install our water heater. They had to remove a door and frame to get the old water heater out. They then installed a larger and more energy efficient water heater. The cost? $900. I'd have to say that ACS took advantage of an elderly gentleman who believed their advertising and loved that they had a former OU football player on "their team." Shame on you, ACS! read more

Then they came out and replaced it again with gas unit instead of a unit for propane when we already discussed propane after it sooted everything up.My husband had to notify them that they installed the wrong unit a second. After it was all done the new unit never has blown as good as the old one as promised. Now four year later it doesn't work and acs says there is no warranty! After reading multiple reviews on different sites I realize I am not the only person this company has overcharged and attempted to "up-sell" to a new system with a 30 second diagnosis. The only thing hotter than my house on this near 100 degree day was my backside when I was presented with their "standard fee" of nearly $200 per pound of coolant. I like making money myself but bilking or overcharging people will eventually catch up with this company. I now know how they can afford their advertising campaign. To Air Comfort Solutions: "You don't need to cheat people Every house and business in the world needs your services year round. You could still make a fortune honestly!" Update: Four days later the roughly $900 of coolant they charged me for (fair value probably $300-350) leaked into our ozone. Called Wellmans and they replaced the leaking evap coil with a new one and fully recharged for not much more than this company charged to add 5 lbs of coolant and not bother to rectify the leak. My A/C went out Friday July 13, around 6pm. I called ACS and got the answering service. The man told me he would have a technician call me back. Since it was already 84 degrees in my house and I wasn't sure they would be able to get to me I called another 24 hour repair company. Within 15 minutes the OTHER company called me back. They got here at 10:30 and had me up and running within 30 mins. Air Comfort solutions NEVER returned my call and here it is Saturday morning. Glad I didn't wait on them.
