Throughout the process, Kelsey's knowledge of the legal market and of individual firms proved invaluable. She ultimately connected me with a firm that truly aligned with my values and long-term career goals. Beyond the outstanding results, Kelsey is professional, intelligent, communicative, organized, thoroughly prepared, and a pleasure to work with at every stage. During our time working together, Kelsey refined my résumé, provided thoughtful insight and advice about the firms I was considering, coached me for interviews, and supported me through salary negotiations. What is often a stressful and overwhelming experience felt far more manageable with her guidance. Working with Kelsey has been one of the most impactful decisions I've made in pursuing my next role. For any attorney seeking their next position, Kelsey will be an excellent partner. She is a dedicated, strategic, and strong advocate who truly cares and offers thoughtful, practical guidance throughout the job search. I am profoundly grateful for the support she provided and recommend Kelsey with the utmost confidence.

I've bee through this "game" before and have met so many recruiters that take your resume, give you a cursory interview, never to be heard from again. It's happened to me with several recruiters and firms here in the Portland area. It wasn't like that with P+L. The team with P+L (including Dan Olchowy - definitely a star!) stuck with me, found me roles where they could, and even when I found a job with a different firm, they were so gracious with me, wishing me luck, asking if it was okay if we maintained contact, and to keep them in mind for other colleagues. It's been a little over a year since I worked with them, they still reach out to me, and I have to commend them for their professionalism and competence. And the fact that when they say they'll call you back, they actually DO call you back.

Only three agencies actually called me back and found work for me - and Parker + Lynch was the best by FAR. Their communication, their advice to me when I interviewed, especially regarding my interview style, it was all ON POINT, direct and very helpful. I cannot say enough about Parker + Lynch - everyone there is just fantastic. Cooperate, work hard, and communicate - simple things that all business people need to do and Parker + Lynch sets the standard. I'm very grateful for their help. I am now doing a very challenging and rewarding job combining all of my favorite skills, not just straight-up accounting, and I would never have found this place without Parker + Lynch.

The promise of getting a long term job was never available in the year I was with LaborWorks even though they led me to believe I could obtain long term employment. I believed my weekly pay, specifically the amount of hours they dispatched me to work per week was always being suppressed. I know this because I was making apx. $300 a week at LaborWorks and then I switched to People Ready on Sandy (no longer on Sandy), I made $600 the first week I was with People Ready. How can this be? I believed I was being sent to third rate jobs. Considering my educational background, and excellent work history, this was insulting to my intelligence (to put it nicely). Again, I had been dispatched from the 82nd & Holgate branch for the most part of a year, and the last day was an interesting event. The last day wasn't on a job, but just prior to being dispatched for a job, I was in the office having a conversation with the branch manager. This interaction & how the office manager escalated a problem, and then slanderously attacked me out of spite, writing slanderous implications into my record, something LaborWorks is putting themself at risk of a slander/libel lawsuit for doing. I have self respect, and as a person educated as to how to handle verbally abusive/insulting co-workers, I did as any professional person would under the circumstances. I walked away from the verbally abusive/insulting manager. I faintly remember saying something similar to, I'm not going to allow myself to be subjected to this. I then turned to my left and walked out the door. Because I stopped his harassment, he spitefully made a slanderous comment about me in my records so that I could no longer be dispatched. It is my strong recommendation that you should seek employment as a security guard (if you can) a much better job than anything LaborWorks can provide. If I was so bad why did they keep dispatching me for an entire year? Before this office interaction? Go elsewhere, this company has proven to me to be extremely challenged when it comes to doing the right thing for ethical workers. I eventually landed a job without the help of any temp service. I basically changed my strategy and began attending job fairs, sitting across from employers. The first employer I sat across from hired me on the spot, and I worked at Intel for the most part of the first year, remaining with the company (sub contractor) for the next 6 years working 40+ hours a week. If LaborWorks is correct in their assessment, why was I able to be more successful at some other company where non of these abusive manager behaviors were present? That's the point, It wasn't an issue with me, it was an issue with LaborWorks.

Compared to others I've been to, Ajilon is very organized, and I feel confident that they are among the top temporary agencies. They have financial and office jobs. Everyone there is nice, and Katie is beyond amazing, and always answers my inquiries quickly. She found me my dream job after only a week, even if it was a 6-month temporary position. I had no idea I would like administrative work with the public, but I loved it. I would pay them to do that job. Now I know where I want to end up in life, and I don't think you can beat finding out what you want to do. A month after that job ended, she had two interviews for me, and then placed me in another good temporary position. I'm not sure how to review a temp agency, but I would definitely recommend it. I have never had a bad experience here, and have always felt like they were on my side. In this economy, a job searcher needs everyone on their side that they can get.

She actually laughed at me when I said the average amount of hours worked in society (I said 40) within the conversation and corrected me again. The manner in which she asked, "why haven't you been able to find a job?" was so demeaning, I'm not sure why I agreed to meet in person the next day; I did in the hopes she'd be able to help me out. So I went in the next day to meet with her and she was not in the office, she was outside walking her dog (not something I'd usually be irritated by, but after the day before it rubbed me the wrong way). There was no one else in the office and a woman named Nicole who came to the front desk got incredibly defensive when I asked how long it usually takes her to come back; I was uncomfortable from the start. Had she spoken like an adult, things may have unfolded a little differently. I waited a few minutes and decided to leave because had I been late, no doubt that'd had been considered unprofessional, as I had another appointment afterward. Nicole gave me a nasty retort about the amount of time I'd have been there "anyway" with an unprofessional attitude, I felt like I was in high school again. When I ran into Vaughna (owner) in the hallway and let her know I was on my way out, she copped an attitude immediately and tried to make me feel guilty about her dog and proceeded to send me a passive-aggressive email afterward. Never have I felt so inconsequential. Terrible customer service. There's probably a good reason why their office was completely empty-people don't appreciate being treated rudely by "professionals" having no respect for others' time. Do yourself a favor-especially if you're young looking-because these people won't take you seriously-don't waste your time.
