We love this place a lot because they push the boys to get stronger and during the birthday party the "rings" were open and our boys went crazy! This review is for birthday parties only. You can have a group of 20 kids or 30 kids. You get 55min on mat, 5min to wash hands and transition and 30min upstairs to eat and do cake. I wish they had an extended option for time as everything was great except the timing. The kids loved the gym time and could have done 10-20 min more easily, but with kids still having food in their plates and not quite done eating we were told it was time to go and "you'll get your goodie bags ON THE WAY OUT" lol I get it. We paid for 1.5hrs and we got 1.5hrs. It just felt so abrupt, and they said there was another party coming but there wasn't. If the coaches had said it's another $ for every 15 minutes, I would have gladly paid it, but alas it was not an option. We went elsewhere to wrap up the party. Positives: The coaches were nice, engaging and helpful. The kids enjoyed themselves. Negatives: The lack of alternative options on timing. Overall, I would still recommend a birthday party here, but be cognizant of the time! read more

Heartbroken by the lack of support for an experienced athlete. My daughter has loved gymnastics for 6 years, but after only 2 months at Airborne, that passion is gone. We were deeply saddened by the rigid environment and the lack of empathy shown during a difficult transition. When our daughter struggled with a common mental block, the support we hoped for never came. Coach Mina admitted she saw our child was overwhelmed but never reached out to us, and our urgent requests for a supportive plan went unanswered for days. When we asked the owner, Jennifer, for a more compassionate approach to help my daughter feel safe again, we were told that our family's need for a supportive environment 'misaligned' with their philosophy. Instead of working with us, they simply terminated her enrollment. It is disappointing that a program would rather let go of a dedicated gymnast than offer a little flexibility and kindness. If your child is looking for a nurturing environment to grow in, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Just hosted an amazing birthday party at Airborne Gymnastics. I'm so glad I found them on yelp. The booking was super easy and straight forward through their website. It was $410 for up to 20 kids for 1.5hrs with 60min of gymnastics and 30min for cake and food. You can arrive 15min in advance and they were super strict about not letting us up even one minute early which was a bit frustrating especially since we were the first party and there wasn't even anyone upstairs. However, once we got up the coaches were very helpful in getting the decoration and snacks all set up. The kids had a ton of fun with the coaches guiding them around to do different activities. I loved how big the gym is and it was a much bigger scale than my kid's usual gymnastics class. After the activities they guided the kids back up stairs and had cake signing, cutting, and clean up. They were very efficient overall which was nice. I felt 30 min was too rushed for little kids to eat food and cake, leaving no time for the adults to eat too, so I actually had lunch at a nearby pizza place afterwards. Staff is hit or miss for the 4-5 yo class. Some are good and trying to teach. Others are just chilling and treat it like a free play with minimal coaching (chitchat with each other more than talking with the kids, standing in one place twiddling foam blocks and not engaging with kids). The older teens and preschooler programs share the same area, and there are high chance for accidents when the bigger kid twice or three times the weight sprinting down to vault and little preschooler crossing the lane to get to their area. This is speaking from experience. And you have to sign a waiver before starting. Now you know why. read more

I was looking for an outlet for my energetic three-year-old and was given this recommendation from a friend. Looked it up on yelp and seen a few other reviews, but decided to try it out since my friend raved about it for her kids. Definitely glad I took up her advice. My son joined a few months back and loves his weekly class. He initially started off with Coach Julie, and did well with her for a few weeks before moving on to the next age group. I was a little reluctant at first to let him move to the next group, since we had just started, but Coach Julie assured me, he should do pretty well in that level. First class with Coach Rome started off a bit Rocky since it was no longer a parent and child class, just child. But Coach Rome was very attentive and understanding that it was my son's first time with the new class, and it was going to be a transition. He didn't force him or push him to do anything he wasn't ready to do yet. And by the middle of the class my son was out with the rest of the group and doing pretty good. I honestly thought he would throw a fit or cry or not want to go in at all because this would be his time in the new class, but to my surprise he ended up doing well and we haven't stopped coming since. We've also got to experience other coaches for filling or make up classes and they've been wonderful as well. Our daughter cried when attending this location. She went for two months and then She refused to go to classes all of a sudden and we wasted a month of tuition . Its too busy and in the months she was there she didn't learn anything. We went to a different gymnastics company and just in a few short months she is in the intermediate class and is doing so well. Poor customer service. Never answered any of my call. Through email, when I asked for a make-up class, they said it'll be online via Zoom. If it can be online, what's the purpose of sending the kids to the facility? There are plenty of videos available on Youtube for FREE. Kids can watch and learn by themselves at home. I am not sure about coach as well, they just try to engage kids as a day-care or a general after school facility and hardly works on developing their new gymnastics skills. If you'll ask them about the progress, they'll preach on 1-1 training classes. WASTE of money and time. Don't just go by the "5 star" reviews. Think twice before considering this business. read more

Just celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday here today. The staff and coaches are amazing! All the kids and parents had a great time. We arrived 15 mins before our party and the 3 coaches who were assigned to our party helped us set everything up and clean up everything at the end of the party which made life very easy! The kids loved all the activities on the gym floor, especially my daughter. I can not recommend this place enough. Very professional, organized, and most importantly fun! My daughter was on the Airborne competitive gymnastics team for 2 years. The facility is large and clean with lots of state of the art gymnastics equipment. They have a well rounded program and i am pretty sure they have something to suit anyones physical ability. From toddler tumbling classes, recreational gymnastics for grade schoolers, offering the number 1 norcal team program, to adult level fitness which consists of zumba or circuit training. Airborne has it all. The staff is great and will help find you something suitable for your needs. I am not competent to assess the quality of their teaching but the customer service is TERRIBLE. We did agree a 1 month trial and we got charged at the end of the 3rd week because of their accounting policies. They did not even considered the possibility of a refund even though we told them punctually the last lesson of the trial that we did not want to continue. I was planning on enrolling my daughter and son in classes here. I had a bunch of questions and wanted to call a few times to follow up and confrim that I was making the right decsion for the family. I wanted to first get a run through of the process and how it worked. Then I called on a different day to understand pricing. They didn't answer the first time but did give me calls back within the same day. I spoke to courtney, and she was nice enough. She told me about the process, rules, and pricing. It just didn't seem like she was too enthusiastic to speak to me. In fact, I got the vibe that she was annoyed given my calls. We ended up choosing a gym closer to home, with a friendlier staff, who answered my questions on the first call. If I'm paying $600+ for preliminary costs and being locked into a $300+ monthly payment schedule, I want to not feel like I'm annoying the person that's going to be working with my child. read more

I am surprised how such a place can still be in business? The rest of you that gave anything more than 1 star to this place are being very nice (Airborne should buy you free lunches!). Gosh - these people are toxic and under the pretext and fine print of so called rules, they are running a shady business. Let's first start with the extremely bad attitude the women at the front desk show to the people that show up. Either these women are treated very badly by their managers, they're short staffed or have something seriously wrong with them. I do also see some bias - especially when they all of a sudden change their tone from offensive to sweet when they see a particular part of the community approaching! The coaches are a hit or miss as well. Like seriously - how hard is it to focus on 10 kids and engage them to get most out of them? Instead the coaches chit chat with parents and other coaches. It's one hour of work out of which the coach has to pay attention for maybe 30-40mins tops? Out of those 40mins, they chat for 20 and pretend to work for 20. It's outrageous IMO.. The front desk is unethical and purposely hide information to their advantage. They fudged dates on our cancellation per whatever was convenient to them and now claim we were late in canceling. Overall very disappointed with this place and would recommend sane people to stay away. There are many other options that are competitive and has nicer staff. read more

Gosh, I hate this place. I really wish my kids wanted to play soccer or volleyball or some sport other than gymnastics. It might be highly reviewed for its team program (elite leveled gymnastics that does not include most of its paying customers) and the rest of the classes (the ones most kids are in) feel like a crappy factory of coaches that vary in quality, with high turnover, and now....the topper....they no longer allow makeup classes (excpet on Zoom which nobody wants to do because who has gymnastics equipment in their living room?). They used to allow one makeup per month. Not anymore. The fleecing of America is what they call it. They'll take more and more from and give you less and less. read more

I'll be honest, I was DREADING this party because of the horrible experience we had before but this time around was much better. There were two instructors with good attitudes and knowledge of how to interact with many ages. So, I think they have definitely changed their approach. However, the party room is still a touch of a disappointment and walking in there still appears to be a lack of... well.. GREETING and information on what to do! That knocks off 2 stars because there really should be someone handling guest entering at all times. And someone saying "Hello! Welcome!" SO, there we go. Airborne Gymnastics was recommended to me by another mommy friend and I'm glad we decided to check them out. They have a huge gymnasium and classes for kids of all ages. My lil guy is 2.5 and talks about it during the week when we're not there. His first few classes were rough (he wanted to quit 1/2 way thru) but he stuck it out and now likes it a lot. The best part is when he uses the moves he learns in gym class in real life. He's done summersaults in the park and tries to tell our family about the hoops. It's super cute! They are a lil strict with some regulations but we'll be back every week we're in town and... would recommend it to infants, toddlers and everyone! See ya there! read more

This place is great and my daughter always gets a nice welcoming every time she comes in from her coach and everyone at the front desk They are amazing and I thank them for being so nice to her and making her gymnastics experience the best ! This is probably the best place in the world to go if you want to train winners. The coaches will berate your children until they cry and then they will no longer know what failure is. It is the only way to create athletes. Just ask the Russians or the Chinese, man, they know how to do it. I come here for adult classes and it's super jumping up and down on everything. Below zero ..... the coach assessed my daughter and recommended private lessons for quicker advancement. He kept telling me that she is doing great and all what she needs is one more lesson or two.... then whenever I used to think that this is her last private one.... he would come with the sad face to inform me that no he will not move her to the next level and that we need to do more!!!!! This business is horrible. My kid and her two friends went to the summer camp, and got notice about covid positive case on evening of the first day. We decided to continue and the three kids all wear masks the whole time. Unfortunately, they all got symptoms and tested positive on Wednesday night. We all emailed the gym about the case, since it must be very serious if all three kids got infected from there. I guess most kids are infected. The next day, I called them in the afternoon, since they had not responded yet. Surprise, I was told that they did not see the message because the person in office just started the computer. I asked for refund, and they refused. We won't trust such irresponsible business. read more

I am pulling my son out of the gym because of the onerous rules of the establishment which make it very inconvenient for parents: first, make up classes. even when forced by the gym (Good friday, memorial day), it has to be made up in one month. And then make up classes cannot be rescheduled, even if kids are sick. No flexibility. guys think your schedule is more important that the kids' or the parents'. second, chocoloate sales. They tell parents/kids to sell chocolates for the gym, like girl scout cookies! for what - the equipment!!! Gimme a break. It's opitonal but what do I pay the monthly fee for again. Does Safeway charge me for grocery and the cost of the shelves? Nice racket. fourth, if I want to cancel, I have to give one weeks notice. So I should continue using or paying even if I am not happy with services. Nice business model. Employees are nice and qualified. Rules are ridiculous. read more

Staff/Coaches: Generally, incredible. They are skilled, kind & are great to the kids. My son has been in several classes and he enjoyed them all. My son has been here for almost 2 years - as an FYI. Front Desk: Absolutely horrible. They do not acknowledge you when you speak to them; they are rude, extremely slow in responding to questions. They are the reason I will have to pull my son out of this place. Will describe more in the next section. Classes: They should have more availability when it comes to classes. Being #32 on the wait list for the next class level is not very appealing. You literally have to wait months to get into classes and the front desk is not supportive at all. When they call you to let you know something opens up, they always do it in a bored voice & with the weirdest sense of entitlement - pretty much as if you are taking up their valuable time with the phone call they owe you. We have been on the wait list for different classes and have experienced this treatment from different front desk people. Parents: You want to be surrounded by snobs & nouveau rich without class, but tons of attitude- this is the place to be! If it weren't for my son's love for his coaches and these amazing people's skills, we would have left a long time ago. This is not an environment suited for nurture & installment of love for sports (I come from Romania, where gymnastics is a big thing and it is done in schools mandatory until girls reach the age of 18 & boys 14- hence why I figured I would expose my son to a sport that was very dear to my heart). This review is for the adult gymnastics class I actually went to airborne based on the yelp reviews and tried out the adult class twice and it was great. I got great instruction and it was lots of fun. Then I signed up for a membership and the quality of the instruction was almost none. I got the impression the instructors learn who is trying the class out as a guest and give them lots of attention and then when you are a paying member, you are basically on your own. The instructors try but there are too many people. if you find the instructors (there are 2 for twenty adults) open and go to them, 10 others follow and you hardly get any time on a specific activity. I love the trampoline but can only do one jump at a time. I'm paying $64 for 1 hour a week and out of that whole hour, I probably only get 20 mins of actual instruction time ( at best). The real factor for the low rating is the way the business is run. They promise a lot up front but don't follow through. For example, you are allowed to make up one class in a month's time if you need to miss a night. I had this happen where I needed to do a make and they told me they couldn't schedule a make because the other adult class ( on tuesday nights) was too full and they didn't have room. But I was still supposed to do the make up in the allotted time frame or I would loose it. How am I supposed to make up a class if they don't let me? Another example of poor business practice is the owner refuses to talk to the customers. They seem less about customer retention and more about getting money. I get this impression from the lack of helping me with the make up as well as other factors. I had a great first impression with the trial run but after that it has been a disappointment. I absolutely love gymnastics, but it just seems that I am not getting much for the cost. read more

This is DEFINITELY the place where you want to enroll your child if you want her/him to become a future Olympic gymnast! No kidding! They are number 1 in Northern California and number 2 in the country! A simple visit at Airborne and you will be impressed by the AMAZING skill level of the kids having classes there, by all the flags and trophies they won, as well as by the display of portraits of Airborne gymnasts that were accepted by prestigious universities. I also recommend this place if you just want to unglue your child from his ipad, get off his (...) and have a SERIOUS workout. What to expect there: a huge facility, state of art equipment, excellent teachers! Each child receives enough attention. Cost is reasonable, for instance we pay $100/month for once a week, beginners recreational. There is also a yearly registration fee of $50 per child. Their make-up policy is just one make-up a month. They offer FREE trials, you need to call to schedule your trial. They have two tracks: recreational (for everybody) and competitive (this one is invitational ONLY). Regular classes are 90 minutes long, and 45 minutes for preschool kids. If you are lucky and your child is selected in the competitive program, expect her/him to have classes almost every day - my daughter's best friend is in the team and she has classes 4 times a week, and then she has local competitions every other weekend. When she was younger, my older daughter went to Little Gym and she loved it, we loved it, too. However, I think Little Gym is suitable for kids under 5-6 years old, after this if you want a real gymnastics program, go to Airborne. If you have time in the morning during the weekdays, I recommend morning classes for the preschool kids, since they have all the facility available for them and the teachers can build longer and more interesting tracks than for the afternoon classes. My other daughter was in an afternoon toddlers class and she did some make-ups in the morning class, so we could see the difference. Somebody mentioned in a review the chocolate sale; they have that sale only once a year and it is optional, so it is absolutely no big deal about it. In conclusion, I HIGHLY recommend this place. Give it a try, especially since they offer free trials. read more

My daughter has shown interest in swimming recently so we decided to end our gymnastics term with Airborne. I had called and left a voicemail asking to call me back to cancel our account. No one returned my call. A week and a half later, our credit card was charged and I saw the statement and called again and left a voicemail today. A woman returned the call and told me I would have to file a cancellation via email and that they could not refund the money and that they never received my call. *shakes head* I definitely will not be doing business again with these people. Disappointed. If any future member of this place decides to sign up- make sure you stay on top of cancelling the service to avoid getting charged again. I was so skeptical signing my daughter up for gymnastics thinking it was going to be a repeat of the Little Gym all over again. I was so wrong. They have the coolest set ups for little kids. Lots and lots of obstacle courses. They get a ton of exercise and it's creative and fun. We just signed our 2.5 year old daughter up for twice a week for the time being because she loves it so much. Cost wise it's about the same price as other comparable places. The teachers seem to have a little more structure for the kids unlike Little Gym where they want them to "explore" The only complaint I have so far is when they do one of the obstacle courses they pick one kid to "show" everyone how it goes and it's really hard to keep this age range of kids still and watch. They seem so distracted by everything else going on. You definitely get to see some really cool gymnastics being done and Airborne was recently rated #2 in the nation. Pretty cool! read more
