You'd better believe I'm giving this time-saving underground facilitator of speedy wonder 50 shades of 5 stars. One minute I'm in the taxi rank at the airport and the next I'm in Fortitude Valley. And trust me, I noticed all 18 traffic lights I blew through. In fact, I spent my saved time devoting the proper amont of pondering to which brownies I should indulge in at Dello Mano. (Usually I'm so rushed I just go for the classic, but nobody puts honey caramalised macadamia in the corner with this amount of extra time.) To be fair, I only launched through the thing at non-peak hours, but the time saved was well worth the extra cab fare. read more
Every. Single. Day. This is how often I use this tunnel. I use it to get to my partners work in the CBD in the morning. I use it to get home from Ashgrove in the afternoon. I use it to get wherever it is I need to go on the weekends. It's just so handy. I'm not even sure how it is that handy. But it is. So I says to myself, is it worth paying $2.50 each way? Is it worth not having to sit in traffic, get stuck at traffic lights, be annoyed by far less mind bogglingly bad drivers on the road? Yes.Yes it is. Try it. Actually, you probably should have tried it while it was free. I know that's what got me in. The quesiton is, will I still love it when there is a price hike from April 18 next year? Probably not. It's more than $1 extra. That's more than $5 for a return trip. No, tunnel. You lose a star for that one. read more
The Airportlink M7 is a lovely bit of infrastructure. Cab drivers hate it because it is so quick and efficient - and they make less money per fare - but I love it - I always specify it when getting a can to or from the airport (and you have to specifically ask for it or they will go the old LONG way). Smooth.... And the lighting is kinda space-age - but the main reason is that it's quick and virtually empty! read more
Yeah, I'm going here. I mean, I went here. I drove the Airport Link and I liked it. There you go. Happy? I like tunnels. The fact that I can appear to get to and from the airport in lightning speed using this tunnel makes this ginger a happy ginger, and you know what happens if a ginger gets angry, right? No, ok, well best you don't. Seriously, I can only but imagine how much better this will be once Legacy Way is finalised and I can tunnel all the way from home to airport. I was at the airport to pick my parents up with enough time to stop at DFO and secure a pair of boots. Time saving and money saving! read more

My partner and I use this tunnel every day. Will we still use it when it goes up to full price? Probably. We'll just complain about it. We live in Nundah - so with me working in the CBD and my partner working in Ashgrove - this tunnel couldn't be more convenient. It does get a little busy during peak hours but it's definitely better than waiting at traffic lights and crawling along with all the other 9-5 chumps on the roads. I do recommend it. It's very handy. read more

Beware if your toll tag is not working or not topped up you will be hit with a $12.80 admin fee as well as the toll - to use the toll twice (to and from the airport) I have to pay $21.75. When I called to see if they could transfer the toll over to my tag account they would not do anything about it. It was my fault the tag was not topped up.... but come on Airportlink M7 give us a go. One slip up and wham! a huge admin fee. Think maybe that's why Brisbane drivers do not use the toll roads and why these companies are going broke! One very unhappy customer who wants to pass on this warning. read more

The toll price is exorbitant at $4.92 one way, take the return journey and for a relatively short road and a saving of about 4-5 minutes you're paying nearly $10...and then if your Govia tag doesn't read they'll send you an account processing fee of another $13.53 in addition to the toll...a complete ripoff read more
