Stopped by airstream earlier today to have, what I thought would be, a couple minor things done. Swap out an outlet and update the thermostat. The thermostat was a bit of an issue because of the age of the coach. They answered all my questions and even though I didn't get it installed I now know the parts I need to make it happen. They brag about the five rivet designation, but don't fall for it! They delivered us a coach the had multiple malfunctions, and have not stood behind their problems. Lots of promises - no follow through. We have a $250,000 paperweight, they can't/won't fix. Be cautious about the Atlas, they have cracking and rivet problems they don't disclose. They brag about the 15 coats of paint and the quality of same, but is apparently fragile as multiple Atlas owners have the same issue. It was delivered with the storage bays locked and wouldn't open. Also a common problem. Their only fix was to teach me how to break in to them, and to drive to Phoenix or LA, at my time and expense to be fixed. Other owners say it took 4 months to fix! They also own Airstream of Las Vegas, AS of Orange County, and AS Inland Empire Buyer beware! Edited to add: I wrote this review several years ago and thought it was posted. Recently came across it in drafts. I apologize for not alerting the public sooner. As an update date, the condescending general manager, Dave offered only platitudes and the "guaranteed" fiberglass repair lasted 6 months. We store our Airstream at Airstream Los Angeles, and overall it has been a great experience. The storage area is secure and located behind gated access, which gives us peace of mind. My only frustration is that the exit gate has been broken for nearly two years. When leaving, you have to get out of your vehicle, walk to the front gate, and use your access card to open it. It's an inconvenience that I wish would be addressed. Aside from that, the facility is excellent. They provide a sewer dump station and water access, making it easy to prepare for trips and return from them. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The sales team is knowledgeable and professional, and on the few occasions we've needed service, the service department has done a great job. They also maintain a large inventory, which is fun to browse whether you're shopping or just dreaming about your next upgrade. This is our fourth Airstream purchased through Airstream Los Angeles, and we continue to enjoy our relationship with them. We visited the San Gabriel store and was warmly greeted by David Hupp. We were looking for a used smaller trailer to leave on our burned out lot from the Palisades fire. David showed us what was available used and also a great deal in a 2024 new Bambi 22FB. Airstream offered a rebate plus a discount for fire victims. David took his time and showed us many different styles. Although we were going to "look around" at other dealers we decided on the spot that this deal was too good to pass up. Unlike my past experiences when purchasing a car, the finance department was straightforward and seamless. The walkthrough orientation with Israel, was perfect. Not too long winded but covered the entire trailer functions in as much detail as I wanted. Overall it was the most pleasant vehicle buyer experience in my life. read more

Purchased a new 2025 Airstream Basecamp 20x REI edition in February from Airstream LA. Despite the unit being certified as ready to roll by Airstream LA, both the AC and refrigerator have given out in the first six months of ownership. When I took it in for service to New Mexico Airstream, they told me that they found a screw or bolt stuck in the AC condensation drain line and that that could have happened during manufacturing. I have now been waiting over a month for an update on warranty claims for the AC and refrigerator with Airstream of New Mexico. Six months into ownership I have no AC in the middle of the New Mexican summer. The first three weeks into this claim I was told there would be an update the following week. No updates. Now I can't get a call back at all. If I wanted my AC to break within the first six months of buying a 20ft travel trailer, I could have purchased something far less expensive than an Airstream. Not the build quality or service I would expect for this kind of money. Happy to revisit this review if I can get some help! read more

Aaron really saved us in a very precarious situation. Our 1968 airstream was not connecting properly to be able to tow. We had lights but brakes weren't functioning. We were fortunate that Aaron was able to diagnose the problem which was a corroded six pin connector. He calmly and quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. We were soon on our way and we were so thankful that he was able to save the day for us. Hugely grateful to the friendly staff, the receptionist was also really lovely. I wish i could say something nice about this place because myself and a friend had bought an RV and a trailer here, but working with these guys for a vehicle which i had purchased an extended warranty for really left a sour taste. Here is my experience: Buying an RV or a trailer here was pleasurable. I had fun looking and even enjoyed watching the demonstration for each cool looking metal mobile home. Bobby was awesome and walked me through all the way and even approved the value of my trade in. Here's where it gets ugly: I want to make sure that im writing this based on facts and not just on impulse, so im looking over my extended warranty contract and reading all the bits and pieces that it covers. I have to say, they're pretty clever in looking for a reason to deny a rightful service that i have paid for. The issues that I have experienced are rightfully listed - THE BATTERY. Its easy way out is to blame something that isnt covered in the contract, and the one thing they always pointed out is the battery - both the starter battery and the house battery. They refuse to do any work on it unless the battery has been taken cared of- they cannot prove what is at fault unless i change the battery. I have gotten new batteries twice. I have gone through different techs and tests to see why the starter of my vehicle is always needed a battery assist and why the house appliances sometimes need a restart to function. Usually to diagnose a problem is to see where the fault lies. Instead of taking my battery out and testing if their battery works, they just straight up tells me that the battery needed to be swapped. Dude, I have all new batteries in that thing. All inspected by different techs. I made sure it wasnt the battery. Nope. its definitely the battery. I now have to yo-yo myself around to get a proper diagnoses (this is already more tiresome than a getting a referral for health treatment.) Additionally, I had a problem with my door. They said it was a part of Mercedes-Benz and that they would honor the warranty. I took it to them after having made an appointment and guess what they said... Its a part of Airstream and Airstream is the one responsible for fixing it. These people are absolute garbage. Their warranty contract is a scam. Their troubleshooting process is nonexistent. Their service staff refuses to do work. And their service manager? They dont even try. Its a shame that they even offer warranty and service. They might as well just be a glorified storage unit decorated with buffoons in uniform. read more

This Airstream location is fantastic. The service is always great, and the setup of the entire premise is very organized. Even if you're new to Airstream, it is convenient to quickly browse through the different models that are always on display on their lot and have a general understanding of the different models and options available. I am leaving this review because one of their staff members, Raul, went above and beyond to help me out a few weeks ago. My Airstream is stored at their storage unit and while their offices close at 5PM I do have access to the storage area until later in the evening. It was around 5:30PM when I towed my Airstream to the storage, only to find out that I was out of battery on the Airstream and the electronic hitch wouldn't work... basically my Airstream was stuck to my truck. I went up to a stranger in the parking lot to ask for help, and luckily for me that person was Raul. Raul came to assess the situation and re-entered the service building to get the right tools to free my truck from my Airstream. He did all this with the nicest attitude, and when I tried to thank him at the end with a cash tip he refused. In this day and age, especially in a city like LA, you just don't come across nice people like Raul very often, and I'm very thankful that I did. read more

I bought a brand new interstate 19 for my father in-law as a Father's Day gift. Used it for about 2 months and discovered a lot of little misc stuff wrong (windows misaligned so air was coming in, shower pipe was messed up, and many other things) we left it in for service back in June, and no one contacted us regarding the rv. We kept having to contact the dealership for follow ups. They kept giving run around excuses from waiting for a part to come in and finally the service manager mentioned they just simply forgot about my rv and that they will fix the car next week. Next week comes around I get a phone call saying car is all fixed and ready for pick up. I go pick up the car and NOTHING is fixed and in fact the car is in WORSE condition then we dropped it off. One of the window rubber seals was off the window and when we dropped off the car it was NOT like that. They offered to fix it but at this point I didn't trust the dealership and I needed to get the rv away from them because I felt like they had something against me and would make my rv worse. I took the rv back after sitting in service for 3 months and nothing done. I'm taking my RV elsewhere for the repairs Los Angeles Airstream was suppose to do. Hopefully it gets all fixed. I will leave a follow up review. BUYERS BEWARE: if you buy your car here expect extremely poor and non-existent service for any issues on your car, as well as Rose being a very pressure sales to sell you extended warranty which I didn't get (maybe that's the reason why they didn't fix my rv, I'm not sure if that's the case but I have my suspicion) read more

We bought a new AS trailer and had it set up with a weight distribution hitch and blue tooth brake controller. Our technician was Patrick. He went above and beyond to troubleshoot our problem with our truck 7 pin connector as it was not working correctly. The fuse box had a separate compartment which required research as to how to access it and locate the fuses that needed to be tested. Patrick went above and beyond to find and test the fuses and eventually ensure our brake controller could work. The 5 stars is for the stellar service we received from Jeremy, in sales, not necessarily this dealership. We called into AS LA to see if they had a basecamp 20x in stock that we could physically walk through and gauge whether it would work for our family size. All other local dealers had zero inventory, and this was our last shot. They had a brand new one, in stock, and although it was spoken for, we were able to come in and check it out. After going through every nook and cranny, with a ton of questions, Jeremy patiently answered every last one, with a smile on his face. A lot of questions. And then some more. We knew nothing about owning a trailer and all that goes into making it camp ready. There's a lot, and terms we had no clue even existed: chocks.... blocks.... shore power, boondocking, solar power, inverter, black tank versus gray tank (!)..... so much to learn! I can honestly say that we never would've joined the AS community had it not been for the friendly service and educational conversations we received from Jeremy. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this one had to be done. When we took off on our maiden voyage, and realized we had no heat all night long.... it was Jeremy that reminded me we needed to turn on the propane! If you're a parent reading this, it's sort of like leaving the hospital with your brand new firstborn baby. I can't believe they're just letting us drive off the lot with a "massive" trailer behind us (it's only a 20 footer, but at the time, it might have well been 50' long!), and off we're just supposed to go. Best service experience ever! My wife, toddler, and I experienced a mini flooding emergency in our 3 month old Bambi 1000+ miles from home. But thank goodness Airstream LA was here to help! They were incredible all around in taking care of us. And we didn't even purchase our Airstream from them. When we woke up to a flooded floor in our Airstream, we immediately called and spoke to John, the service manager, who told us to just get to him safely and assured us he'd have a tech ready to assess our Airstream on the spot. Pretty much exactly what i needed to hear in my anxiety-filled moment! When we got there that same day, just like John promised, he had Patrick (who we later found out is the shop foreman) immediately take a look. Patrick was awesome! He was friendly and communicative as I watched him work and was very quickly able to identify the source of the leak (a broken pipe connector end). We hadn't even unhitched from our car before he was done finding the problem! Then we left our unit with Raul, our service advisor, who quickly confirmed that warranty would cover the work and that repairs would be completed in the next day or two. He proactively provided updates to me each day and also made sure our unit was washed afterwards, which we so appreciated! Overall, he was polite, communicative, and reliable throughout. What more can I ask for. Finally, we connected with Lilia, business manager, to set up storing our Airstream there following the service work. Lilia was friendly, courteous, and effective. She sent me paperwork electronically beforehand to ensure we're set up, pro-rated our storage charges, and personally provided access to the storage area for us. She even followed up with me afterwards to make sure we got back home safely. Just such a pleasant experience with Lilia! I can't thank John, Patrick, Raul, and Lilia enough! They made a potentially anxiety-provoking and budget-breaking situation totally painless. I'm so impressed with the team's professionalism and competency. The purchase process was done seamlessly by Rose and she went through all the paperwork clearly. On the day we picked up our vehicle, Ray came in on his day off to see if we had any other questions before sending us to Mike for the final walk through. Also if it were not for Lillia in storage I wouldn't have even been able to leave the lot I took my truck to pickup my trailer and my Jack broke. I had to spend over an hour figuring out how to take it off so I could get home. By the time I did the gate was no longer working because it was after hours. I called Lillia who amazingly gives her cellphone to all her customers. And she was there in 10min to let me out. Took a picture of my broken Jack and then connected me to Chris the next day. Chris went above and beyond too!!! He called me. Told me about all the options they had. Set it aside for me. And even helped take it to my sister in laws car!! And this wasn't even the first time this guy helped me out. Very late one night I had to drop parts off for service and he was there. And instead of telling me that they were closed. He opened the service department put my parts there (instead of hiding them behind a bush like my plan was) and then the next day he delivered them to service! As someone who was a service manager for 10years I can assure you finding a parts employee with this level of dedication and with also such a pleasant demeanor is not easy. I'm sad about writing this. I loved Airstreams before I bought one. Now, after a 112k purchase and all the sweet talking romancing coming from Airstream Los Angeles, I'm lucky if I can get someone on the phone. When I can, it's "we'll call you back" which they never do. Dealing with Airstream corporate is even worse. I have 2 dents in my brand new camper, and neither did I do by accident. The fault is in the actual design. The wind blows the front door open, it swings back hard and guess what... no protection! Bam. Ding. Devalued. Then I'm simply backing my trailer into it's designated place, and a week later I see that my sharp turn put a ding in my aluminum protectors. I was going less than zero miles per hour... braking every inch. So it wasn't a haphazard rush, but very careful. Even that didn't stop the poor design from devaluing me even more. I haven't priced replacing these things, but when I called corporate to complain and see if there was anything they could do, well they couldn't give 2 f*cks. I got the rudest, most blameful person names John... couldn't believe it. So I guess this is an overall rating for Airstream, not just Los Angeles. BEWARE!!!
