Let me stress that any information you may leave here is never passed on with your name. One CAB is completely independent and will only confirm to another bureau whether or not a client has been there. CAB cannot be subpaenaed or give evidence against a client, except in child abuse or murder. If you go to the CAB, and it is found that you, in fact, have broken the law, unwittingly or otherwise, no action is taken except to advise you of this, and you are free to return if you need further help.
