She always runs late for appointments (seriously, usually an hour or so). But she is well-worth the wait. She runs late for appointments because she actually spends time listening to you and talking with you. She never rushes you and will spend an hour with you if needed. She will never make you feel rushed. She is proactive on treatment of anything and also a registered nutritionist. She will never say "well, let's see if your leg falls off first before we do something". She knows your history, will take action when needed, and also give you a reality check even if uncomfortable. I am seriously dreading the day when I move away from Pittsburgh and have to find another PCP, because none have ever or will ever be as great as Dr. March. Definitely choose her and don't stress about the wait.

I am absolutely furious right now. I just moved to the area and needed to establish care with a new…read moreprimary doctor in order to get my prescription refilled. I went onto the UPMC website and determined that I would try to get established with Dr. Gregory Walker. The system let me schedule an appointment online, which was amazing, so on 8/19/24, I scheduled for 9/6/24. Today, 8/26/24, I got a call from Lindsay in this office. She told me that my appointment time slot was not the right one for a new patient appointment and that the next new patient slot for Dr. Walker would be at the end of September. I told her that the system allowed me to book that slot and asked why I would be pushed all the way out to the end of the month when I'm trying to get in as soon as possible. She got a major attitude and told me that she would not go back and forth with me and that if I didn't want to schedule then that was fine. I absolutely refuse to be treated this way. From the beginning of the phone call, she was rude and was talking to other people while I was trying to speak. LINDSAY SHOULD BE FIRED. You should NOT have such a horrible person working in a customer-facing position at a doctor's office. Seems like I'm not the only person who has had issues with customer service here... Needless to say, I'm not going to be seen at this office.

I came in today for the first time to speak to a doctor. I felt seen, heard and the doctor was very…read morekind and patient with me. Before I left I got a few vaccines I was due for. While scheduling out a test at the front desk before leaving I nearly fainted. Everybody there jumped into action to get me into a wheelchair and into a room where they surrounded me and checked my blood sugar, blood pressure and fed me food (some of which I think was from their own lunch!) and gave me juice. They sat with me and explained everything to me about why I almost fainted and printed me out information about vaccine side effects. That's never happened to me before but it does happen. I'm really glad I was there and everybody there took incredibly good care of me. For a first visit it was a little crazy but I feel like I made a really good choice going to McKeesport Internal Medicine. An RN walked me to my car to make sure that I was okay and as soon as I arrived home I received a phone call from the office to check up on me. Absolutely wonderful people here.

I know this fact because I had some complications from a skiing injury that had me seeing multiple doctors for months. Of course, the downside of his care and competence is that if you need to get an appointment, sometimes you may have to wait a week or so. Also, if you can't get an appointment with Dr. Jarvis directly, they have two great alternatives: a CNP named Julie and a PA named Dimas. I absolutely LOVE both of them too! If you aren't aware CNPs and PAs can both diagnose and prescribe so if you have something that needs immediate attention, you can usually get an appointment the next day. Plus, if they ever need a second opinion, Dr. Jarvis--or one of his partners--are available in the office to assist Julie and Dimas too. It's like you get a whole medical team!!! I love them all!

In fact, he just delivered my friends baby boy this past summer! I like UPP Family Medicine bc it is a one stop shop for me in terms of medical care. There are four dr's at this practice, and while they do general family medicine they also do ob/gyn care and Dr. Xiao is my gynecologist and she is FANTASTIC. She's got the best bed side manner, my visits with her never feel rushed and she takes time to answer my questions, and (look away boys) she is a fantastic gyno and her exams are FAST AS HELL. Everyone hates their yearly exam. Dr. Xiao is like a ninja. By the time you start thinking about how much the exam sucks, it is over! Dr Xiao is also the first physician I've ever had to call me just to see how I was feeling and ask if I had any questions about or problems with a new medication I'd recently started to take. If you know anyone who is looking for a new physician, I cannot more highly recommend UPP Family Medicine. This practice is not just 5 stars good, its good enough that I recommended it to my own family members and friends. It's easy to get an appointment, the location is convenient, the staff is friendly, your appointments will not feel rushed and you will receive proper, thorough medical care. (also all the magazines in the office are new, nothing is worse than having to read through a two year old copy of Family Circle)
