My family moved here in 1978 so I am old enough to remember when Akins was across the street from where it stands today. The bakery here is top notch. We get all of the kid's birthday cakes made with the strawberry filling (real strawberries!) and they look forward to them. The fried chicken in the deli is another personal favorite. The staff are all very friendly and inviting. If I am struggling in the self checkout they always come to lend a hand. Everyone smiles and asks how you are doing. What I appreciate the most is everything is very clean, well organized and well stocked. My cat is picky about her food and even if I buy up the last of the stock, there is more the next week when I go back. Great store for a small town. read more

They have hot food, but one employee let us touch the burrito to see it was soft and fresh with are bare hands! They don't rotate the fruit. Most employees seem unhappy and unfriendly. read more

They don't keep it cool enough in their store to keep their produce from rotting. Several times I have gotten moldy vegetables.

*This particular review is in regard to the Soap Lake Akin's Market location. I find it odd that no one has done a review on Soap Lake Akin's and that Akin's has no known location in Soap Lake yet reviews are forwarded to the Quincy location. What is of utmost importance here is that the Soap Lake location is not only the most poorly managed but is also more expensive than any other Akin's Market. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on the Deli food in Soap Lake. It is by far the most greutesque, over salted, under and overcooked and there is zero consistency. Two fried drumsticks at Safeway in Ephrata land between to $2.68 and $2.80 at best. Much lesser quality and way over-salted Akin's drumsticks will run nearly $5.00. The mac and cheese is repulsive. The butcher meats in the back of the store are poorly cut, of lowest quality and are $2.00 more than any surrounding competitor. One might notice that I have only two other reviews of whixh are just as negative? *It is only when a business defy complete logic ad off the charts level absurdity that I write a review. There is a lot of good in the world and this is what other yelper's are for. When something is so disturbing that it rivals the sh*t on the bottom of a flies ass, I will contribute a review. Akin's market Soap Lake is an avoidance at all cost and "cost" is the reasoning. They're a little too proud and full of themselves. If you can.... shop elsewhere. Save your self the grief. read more

Truly the BEST donuts ever!! This small-town grocery store goes out of its way to provide amazing service. You can order online and have it delivered to your car. They work really hard to keep a clean store and helpful, friendly staff. Their weekly flyers available online as well. I am from Quincy. I do shop out-of-town stores sometimes, as I work out-of-town, but Akins Harvest Foods has always supported the community and it's important to me to support them. After reading so many negative remarks, I felt I needed to add some positive remarks. read more

Shelves are NEVER kept stocked....hire some help people! Or move out and let's get a safeway in there.

I was shocked to see an employee come out of the work area in the back with his mask tucked under his chin. But then i realize that except for the cashiers, all the employees--the deli workers on the floor, the people in and out of the back area, the shelf-stockers--almost all *wore* masks but around their necks, below their noses, under the chin etc. And some with no masks at all. It's a team thing. I don't get it. Masks aren't painful. There no worse than a tie and lots of men get used to wearing those without feeling that their manhood is at risk. Yuck! The BEST doughnuts in Washington state!!! Laid back small town store. The deli is ..... not so good, but they do have really good breakfast burritios. You can find some good last minute gifts. And they have some good brands through out. read more

We stopped to go potty and my son smelled the doughnuts and asked for one. We have heard about their doughnuts from friends but never have stopped. We got doughnut holes and omg SO good. We will come down here for more for sure. We also spotted an oreo strawberry cake can't wait to get it home and eat it lol. So glad we stopped!!! read more

Went to Quicy location today, and saw 1 employee properly wearing mask, 2 wearing them down on mouth only, and 3 not wearing them at all, all inside the store. What.part of the law and protecting others is unclear.to you? We will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

This is a sad and disgusting and EXTREMELY overpriced little store. They do not enforce the use of masks at all, and they don't even let the staff enforce it for their own safety!!! This should be seen as abuse to the staff and a MAJOR safety and health violation for the customers who care about their safety. They have one cashier and one self checkout operator taking on a sea of angry impatient unmasked customers. Almost every time I'm there I see one of the cashiers calling desperately for extra help over the intercom and almost every time they don't get the help they obviously need. Where are the managers? The owners? The closest you'll get is a so called "person in control "who is often the meanest girl you will ever meet ( name rhymes with wade lol) so if you need help with something you have to get treated like garbage from a teenage girl with no manners. Honestly wish I could give 0 stars. Also the they let the dairy sit out for like hours before they put it away. read more

The Akins store in Quincy Washington is nasty. I hade to return strawberries that had mold on them, broccoli that had some type of white spiders all over them. Most all their freezers are not working properly nor does the lighting in them work. I found many items that had expiration dates that were expired. I bought a bunch of bananas that were somewhat green when I left the store that ended up with brown spots all over them within four hours. The store is dirty and stinks of a bad odor. The bathrooms are horrible. I'm not shopping there anymore. In fact I'm calling the health department on Monday. They need to be shut down. read more
