She made sure I wasn't uncomfortable and that the sugar wasn't pulling on my skin. She gave me specific instructions to follow before my first appointment to help me be best prepared for the procedure. Her directions for exfoliation were thorough and clear; and this is a key step to having any hair removal procedure to avoid skin irritation and ingrown hair. I'm excited to keep going and see the hair growth diminish on my legs. I get horrible razor burn, so this has been the best thing for me. Christina is happy to help with any other skin questions I have, giving suggestions of things to avoid and things to try that I already have at home... Never trying to just upsell me, she has offered me a few samples to try before buying a full-sized product from their showroom. The Spa has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, as well. So much so that I look forward to spending a couple hours having my legs sugared, even though it isn't the most pain-free experience! (It does hurt a LOT LESS than regular waxing, however!) Then they have a machine coming out of the wall that helps disperse salt humidity. Similar to a humidifier with salt water in it. I could taste the salt on my lips and throat. When I breathe through my nose, it did seem to activate something that helped clear my sinuses more. My nose feels very clear since I've left, and I tend to have a lot of allergy issues. I think I'll go back and try this again in the future. The employee was welcoming, inviting, and informative.

There have been instances of unprofessional conduct, including subtle antagonizing and disrespect toward paying members. What's more concerning is the apparent lack of accountability. These behaviors are either overlooked or not addressed, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for those simply trying to focus on their health and fitness. In my opinion, a gym should be a place of discipline, respect, and personal growth. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and reinforces a higher standard of professionalism among staff.

The gym was always crowded, and it was difficult to find available equipment--most of the time, it was either broken or occupied. The front desk staff rarely greeted me, which made the environment feel pretty impersonal. Eventually, I left for a cheaper gym (that unfortunately didn't have a hot tub) but found myself returning to Esporta specifically for their hot tub and sauna amenities. However, this turned out to be a frustrating decision. More than five times, I drove there only to find that one or both of those amenities were out of order. This isn't an isolated issue--it's quite common. When I returned after canceling my membership, I found that they had removed the free guest passes and raised the monthly fee by several dollars, yet I noticed no improvements in their facilities or services. Honestly, I'd recommend paying a bit more each month to go somewhere like the Natatorium in the Falls or even Planet Fitness. You'll likely have a much better experience than what Esporta offers. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

In full disclosure, I am reviewing this after being a member for 3 weeks. As a college student home…read morefor the holidays, I was worried about my marathon training in the midst of Ohio winters. In these crazy weeks of blizzards, black ice, and unusually cold weather, Lifestyles remained a top-notch facility where staff seemed happy to be doing their job! For $75, students can get a one month membership. My mom and brother (he is considered a dependent) are also on annual memberships and it comes out to something like $5/day, which is a STEAL given the quality of this gym. Let's review some Lifestyles-specific highlights: 1) The space, built into the Akron General hospital building, is as clean as gyms can get. The locker rooms are especially pristine, with carpeting, ample bench and countertop space, and added perks like a hair dryer/curling iron mirror station in the women's, towel service, and a couch-and-tv waiting area in each locker room for straggling workout partners. It's amazing how a carpeted locker room can make a gym seem like a destination of sorts :) Showers and toilets are separated from the changing and locker areas by a heavy door, which encourages cleanliness and helps with the awkwardness of stripping about. 2) The "crowds," even during this holiday and resolutions season, are so manageable. The machines are clearly labeled with "limit use to 30 minutes during busy times" signs, but I've never had to heed those warnings because there is always an open treadmill, elliptical, or weight machine. The lap pool, with the exception of afternoon swim team practices, is always operating at under capacity with ample lane space for slow swimmers like me. The space, unlike big single-room gyms, winds around itself and separates the indoor track from the free weights from the cardio machines....which means getting in a varied workout doesn't have to feel claustrophobic! It can be downright FUN to traverse the workout studio rooms and up to the "Peak," an 18+ zone where the beefiest dads can lift in peace. 3) I have been in gyms where the machines seem constantly in need of fixing or an upgrade...Stairmaster makes noises, treadmills are the narrow, old kind.....but here, the machines are state-of-the-art. I love how some of the treadmills have screens that map your runs, simulating track workouts, and how all of them have TVs built into them that link up the headphone jack. It's these types of electronic add-ons that make me want to roll my eyes as a running purist, but I have to admit they're nice perks when the Ohio winter sets in and running outside becomes a dangerous endeavor. 4) The staff is so friendly. They clearly didn't know me the first few times I went, but they read your name off the check-in monitors and greet you by name. They consistently look HAPPY to be doing their jobs. 5) The group exercises are HUGE plus when considering this gym vs. others. Instead of paying for yoga or barre studio classes, you can get them here, included in your membership. The studios are pristine, chock full of high-end mats and bikes, and the instructors are all upbeat and accommodating to beginners. I've tried out pilates, barre, and spin classes so far, and I'll be truly sad to lose them from my weekly routine once I go back to school. So, if you're looking for a family-friendly facility that's got decent hours, impeccable machines, and high-quality group exercise, I can't recommend Lifestyles more. Now get going on those resolutions!

I hear good things about the many classes they offer but haven't yet had the chance to sit in on one. They also have frequent events like psychic fairs with multiple readers on site. Again, I've never availed myself of these, but have been around when a couple of them have been going on. The definite sense I got was that people were enjoying and appreciating them. I'm happy to say that I did avail myself today of some new (for me) A Creative ApothaCare services, and I couldn't be happier. I purchased a package deal for time in first their infra-red sauna, followed by their salt cave. It was epic - and also therapeutic, insanely relaxing, and happily very affordable. I will certainly be back for more of the same. I understand also that ACA will soon have a sensory float tank up and running. I definitely want to check that out, and will post an update here when I do. A Creative ApothaCare - I just can't recommend this place enough. Between the herbal products (which also include CBD and kratom), and the spa services, they've got your health and wellness covered. With books and metaphysical supplies, they're addressing mind and spirit. After being a member for two weeks at PWC and coming in at different times here is my sincere review. 1. PWC has a nutrition bar where they make fresh smoothies and offer supplements. (get a fresh smoothie after/before working out) 2. PWC is open 24/7 so you can work out at your convenience. 3.PWC has free weights,bicycles,treadmills,ellipticals, a track and a ton of machines. 4.PWC also has a daycare for kids,a rehabilitation center and also personal trainers. 5. PWC has a practical and reasonable monthly subscription 6.Mature crowd 7.Sauna I've been to gyms on the west coast were you pay $129 a month and gym's were you pay $19 a month. It's the same workout,whether you pay 10k for a rolex or ten dollars for a timex they both tell the same time. The more expensive gym's, yes did have newer equipment, fancier tv's, state of the art sound systems, big smoothie and supplement stores.
