The services are one of the best we've had so far, the owner is a really nice lady who is also a local famous skier - she came a chat with us every morning. Other staffs are also friendly and helpful, all our requests and questions were solved. Everything was nice here, really had nothing to complain... Honestly, we could not have been more enchanted with the hospitality we received. The rooms are gorgeous -- a perfect mix of traditional Tyrolean charm and modern elegance. The beautiful woodwork, immaculate duvets and awesome pillows are very inviting. We haven't slept so well in ages! Then there is the whole dining experience. The breakfast is a fabulous assortment of Austrian delectables (including the best mueslix you will ever have!). My partner mentioned in passing that she is gluten free and our hosts went out of their way to serve her a divine loaf of freshly baked GF bread. They also recommended some excellent places for lunch and dinner as well as hiking routes. But perhaps best of all are the hosts themselves -- Margarita and Sebastian. They are a delightful couple from St. Anton who will go out of their way to make you feel totally at home and completely cared for. Their hospitality is no accident -- you should hear their story! The rooms are small, it is a gasthaus not a mega-resort, but they were in good condition and kept nicely clean. The mattress was perfectly comfortable, and the rooms both had small TVs, as well as a small desk and chair. Breakfast was a typical european affair, with coffee, juice, tea, cold cuts, yogurt, etc. They also picked up a selection of breads and/or pastries each morning from the local bakery, which were all quite nice. Wifi worked just fine for me the whole time, but I never tested it with FaceTime or Netflix. For skiers: the boot room was substantial and right outside the front door for easy access. It seemed to have been recently updated, and the boot dryers worked like a charm. The free ski bus up to St Anton stops about a hundred feet down the road, and it seemed to be about the second stop on the route, because we never had trouble getting a seat. The ride up to St Anton was an easy 10-15 minutes, but when you come back at the end of the day, make sure you get on the #7 bus, not the #9. They both say 'Pettneu', but the #9 won't get you anywhere near Gastehaus Hartls! Definitely a great value for what you pay, and I'd happily stay again next time I'm skiing St Anton.

Cars only being allowed through the village on Saturdays. When we drove into the resort the ski instructors and other local representatives were there to greet you, point you in the right direction of your hotel and give you vouchers for free stuff. There are plenty of runs for a 7 day holiday, all quite varied. There are lots of runs through the trees which my children loved. All the hotels are family orientated, although quite expensive for Austrian standards. A great resort.

While this place was only slightly cheaper, it turned out to be a great deal. The shuttle service stopped right in front and the ski room is in the basement, which saved a lot of trouble. The staff was very friendly and even though our room was on the street side, it was a great room. Loved the shower and the amenities. The restaurant was convenient and enjoyed the pizza here. I was surprised on the assigned tables for breakfast and the tea hour had some great food. The sauna was great and my buddy relaxed out there for a while. If you want to hang out in Ischgl, we went on the shuttle, but had to take a cab back, which was 25 Euros. Felt that was a little steep, but can't complain considering all that we got out of this place. If you like motorcycles, you'll love the displays they have throughout the hotel. Kappl ski is right next door, which we skiied the next day for a few hours. It's totally worth it. I was pleasantly surprised and felt this would be a good mountain to bring my family and beginner skiiers.

An easy 5 minute walk down to the lift. Hotel Space is very well thought out and efficiently designed. The neutral oak tones gives it a very calming vibe. There is a mudroom off to the side to hang skis and snowboards as well as boot warmer. Rooms Very well designed and super efficient use of space. Plenty of nooks for storage space and closets have sufficient hangers. Beds were super comfortable with a very warm comforter. Our room had a gorgeous view of the mountain and nice sized balcony. Bathrooms Showers were great with excellent water pressure and hot water. Love that European hotels have the towel warmer racks. Why can't they have that in the states?! We returned to a super clean room everyday. Kudos to the staff for doing an amazing job. Spa We made use of this EVERYDAY after a long day on the slopes. We hit the heated pool, the sauna and the steam room religiously everyday as soon as we came back. Sauna was super hot which we loved. Infrared steamroom was hot and steamy. It was busy during the times we went because other folks were coming back from skiing as well but everyone was respectful and made room in the sauna and steam rooms. Love love loved the fact that there was a spa. Breakfast They deserve kudos for making this available from 7:30-noon. Some people want the sleep in and not have to rush to get up to make breakfast and thus was great. Not that I had the luxury to enjoy brekkie that late though bc my ski squad would never allow that to happen. But we partied one night and didn't make it to brekkie til 10:30 the next morning and this was great bc we didn't have to scramble. Selection is great. Good selection of meats and cheese, breads, cereals, jams, spreads. They also offer eggs made to order. I had two eggs sunny side up every morning with mushrooms and tomatoes. They also offered pancakes at brekkie which were good! Tea and coffee were plentiful. Dinner Excellent well curated meals back at the hotel every evening featuring four courses. We definitely looked forward to dinner every night. The menu changed every evening. We sampled a lot of local Austrian classics like wiener schnitzel and lamb dn fish. All were super fresh and well executed. Desserts were lovely without being overwhelmingly sweet. Cheese was on point. The wine offerings were great as well. Bar They have a cute bar that we frequented after dinner for digestifs and cocktails before going out. Staff Service was stellar.

Tickets to all skilifts and gondolas are included, among many other perks. Since we had our handy dandy cards, entrance to the Tiefenbachbahn was free of charge. Which was good, because the only way to even get to these lifts is by traveling the highest Panorama Road in the Eastern Alps. This 14km drive is beautiful, but also expensive.. about €18 for a car full. Or for free with the OPC (are you picking up what I'm laying down..?). The gondolas are fast, smooth and well taken care of. They're relatively well insulated, feel stable and safe.. even with heavy crosswinds. Even in summer, the outside temperatures up here are c-c-cold.. though the sun makes it a lot better (it helps being 2 miles above sealevel). Dress appropriately and wear some SPF. If you dare to enter the floating, slightly swaying panorama bridge you'll have a wide bird's-eye view of the glaciers. This is extremely not recommended if you have a fear of heights.. my husband wasn't a fan and stayed put on a nearby bench. If you're not here to ski, this really is a quick up-and-down trip. Aside from the floating platform and the actual trip up, there isn't anything going on here. Unlike many of the other lifts and mountains near Sölden there is no hiking or other exploring to do. Matter of fact, there are plenty of warnings against leaving the station - it's regarded extremely dangerous. So let's not and say we did.
