    Grill Platter

AL BEIK on State Line Rd is an absolute hidden gem in Kansas City! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that instantly set the tone for a great experience. The restaurant itself is cozy, inviting, and perfect for enjoying authentic Lebanese food. The food blew me away! We started with the hummus topped with beef shawarma--smooth, rich, and so flavorful. The cheese rolls were perfectly crispy yet light, and the Arayes Kafta (grilled pita stuffed with spiced meat) was a definite favorite. For mains, the Shawarma Box (chicken & beef) was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The Grill Platter with ribeye, kebab, rice, and sides was generous and perfect for sharing, and the charbroiled half chicken was smoky, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Even the fresh salads stood out--everything tasted vibrant and well-prepared. Portions are hearty, prices are fair, and every bite reminded me why I love exploring new spots. AL BEIK truly delivers bold, authentic Lebanese flavors that Kansas City has been missing. I can't wait to come back and try more! Tucked away in a little strip mall next to Lowe's and behind Taco Bell, a couple great restaurants can be found, including this Lebanese gem. It seems to be a family run shop; very friendly service. I only ordered something small to go but I will want to come back to dine in and try their platters. Today I tried the house special chicken sandwich, which was served with their house, spices and avocado sauce in a hoagie roll. Can't say I ever had a Mediterranean dish smothered in cheese and served on a hoagie roll, but it was very tasty nevertheless. It was so good, I could've easily eaten a second one, but perhaps the portion size could be skittle bigger. Can't wait to come back and try more of their food.

I was encouraged by Steve D's review. He's great at snagging FTRs and I value his honesty and integrity. He was right about Al Beik. Great food! Our night (my birthday) started off a bit rough as several other people that ordered after us got their food first. Then the gal at the register brought us a giant to go bag when we had told her we preferred to dine in. She apologized profusely and took the bag back. We wondered why the hummus and taboule didn't come out first. That was it. Confusion. Anyway, she plated our food and brought it to the table, and by then my wife's entrée was cold. She had the Kafta Arayes Sandwich and I had the Beef Shawarma. Mine was hot and delicious. Hers was rewarmed and delivered. The hummus was good and the taboule was good. Neither were great, but nice. The taboule makes a super garnish for the sandwiches. Also, the pita bread is truly Lebanese and it's the best I've had in the metro, by far. It's thin and delicate as it should be for authenticity. I have been enjoying Lebanese cuisine for over 30 years and this place is good. It's a treat to have in KC. We will be back to Al Beik to try the charbroiled chicken, fatoush salad and other things. Can't wait!

The kebab platter (chicken tawouk & beef) was very filling and flavorful!! The taboule was probably the best I have ever had! The pickles & sauce it came with were a perfect mix with the rice & protein. Very yummy meal & I will be back!

We ordered the hummus with beef shawarma and the crispy abjak sujuk bread as appetizers -- both were fresh and delicious! I was also happy to see that they offer ayran, which is hard to find around here. The mixed grilled kebab plate was good, though I was hoping for a bit more spice and flavor. The bread was more like lavash rather than pita, but unfortunately, it was served cold -- I wish they had warmed it up. Overall, the food portions and prices were fair, and it's definitely an authentic Lebanese dining experience. Service was good.

I enjoyed the great service, reasonable prices and tasty, authentic Lebanese food at this new, family-operated restaurant during my soft opening dine-in lunch visit. My chicken shawarma combo ($11.99 including fries and a drink) included a fair to good amount of tasty chicken on Lebanese pita bread with some delicious fries, but more garlic sauce would have been nice, and they forgot the pickles. I also had a chance to try their falafels - very nice! I found the dining area to be clean and freshly remodeled with plenty of natural light and a mix of booths and tables while the service was welcoming, helpful and friendly with a genuine interest in feedback. I noticed a 4% service charge. Overall, very nice!

We stopped by Al Beik for a working lunch and ordered a variety of dishes to get the full experience. The chicken kebab and kufta were the stars, fresh, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. The half chicken was made to order and came out hot and juicy. The fries were great, and the rice was ok, though not quite at the same level as the meats. Overall, the food was authentic and easily some of the best Arabic cuisine in Kansas City. The restaurant is small but cozy, with fantastic music that adds to the atmosphere. Service, however, could use improvement. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table, but our table stayed dirty despite asking for it to be cleared, we eventually cleaned it ourselves to keep working. That said, the food alone is worth the visit ( maybe To go/ take out). I truly hope they work on service and make the space more welcoming because the flavors are incredible, fresh, and clearly made with care. If they fine-tune the dining experience, this could easily become one of KC's top Middle Eastern spots.

As a Lebanese person, I'm always on the lookout for authentic Lebanese food and this place absolutely hit the spot! I tried the charbroiled chicken sandwich and it completely satisfied my craving. The service was friendly and efficient, and I got my food within 5-10 min of ordering it. The inside of the restaurant was clean with room for indoor seating if you wanted to stay for your meal. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!!

Food was amazing. Served fresh. Everything had such amazing flavors. The hot garlic sauce was a favorite. Service was fast and easy.

Half-Chicken (Char-Grilled) with a side of Tabouli and Fries

I stopped by AL BEIK today and was blown away by the authentic flavors! I had the half chicken (charcoal-grilled) meal, which was perfectly juicy and packed with smoky goodness, was served with a side of fries and a Tabouli salad. I also ordered the chicken fajita sandwich that was bursting with flavor. The tastes took me straight back to Lebanon! To top it off, I had their rice pudding for dessert, and it was absolutely delicious.. I met the owners, they're a humble sweet family from Lebanon . If you're looking for true Lebanese flavors, this place is a must!!

Incredibly fresh & flavorful Lebanese offerings. Everything is made to order. Try the tabouleh, baba ghanouj, and their signature chicken sandwich. Great stuff!

The classic hummus dip with flatbread was yummy too. The kebab platter with jujeh kabob, koobideh kabob, and adana kabob was the star of the show since all kebabs were flavorful and tender. The Persian butter rice was fire and one of the best rice dishes I've ever eaten to the point that I would eat it every day for the rest of my life. The only downsides are that it's not open during lunch and it's expensive but it's worth it. Overall, I would definitely return to this restaurant whenever I'm back in KC and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting KC. It was definitely worth about a three hour drive from Wichita and I don't regret it. It's easily one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in KC and probably my entire life.

Good to know because we've been trying to get in here since they opened. Their menu online is not the same menu in person. I was a little concerned looking at the online menu, thinking it was a bit odd--a ton of dips and barely any entrees or foods with sustenance, but were so happy to see their full menu. We got their dip platter, kabob platter, and their short rib special. Everything, I mean, everything was fresh, delicious, and I loved the smoke flavor on the meats. Everything is cooked to order and on an open flame and the flavors.... THE FLAVORS. Can't wait to come back.
