Very delicious, nice ambience, sitting outside in the garden. The only negative point is the street noise. Food was high quality and very nice presented. read more

The mean was amazing. We started with the artichoke appetizer. It was amazing and the owners were so friendly and accommodating. Book well in advance because it's small and popular. But go!!

The restaurant has a small seating area nd is known for their wonderful comfort food evening meals. We were lucky to get an early seating. We each had two courses. I had the Taglatelle Porcini followed by the Filetto Maiale Sangiovese Scalog, my wife started with the Gnocchi Gorgonzola followed by the Spiedone Rustico. All the dishes we excellent. Clearly Trattoria La Rustica was one of our favorite meals during our stay in Italy.

For just 6 euro you are handed a delightful Aperol Spritz (aperol + prosecco) and are welcome to a smorgasbord of tasty dishes. Typically Italians partake in aperitvo before heading out for dinner so you take a plate to accompany your drink and enjoy with friends. It is a most excellent tradition and can vary from being just a handful of crisps, olives and cheese on a plate to what we are treated to at Porta San Pietro. The selection here includes baked potatoes and frankfurts, seafood couscous, salads, cold meats, frittata, pizza, pasta, garlic breads and more. Dinner optional ;)

Intro: After exploring Bologna to the fullest, we made our way to Osteria Broccaindosso for dinner…read more Located outside of the heart of Bologna, despite being away from the center of the action, the restaurant was almost full. They didn't have any tables outside so we were seated inside. Service (3.5/5): No WiFi unfortunately which isn't great for an international traveler like me. Standard European service. Not terribly friendly and not terribly efficient but I would say they were a bit more attentive than the norm. They did hook us up with some complimentary limoncello shots which was a really nice touch. Ambiance (3.5/5): A little quieter since it's off the beaten path which I like. A pleasant, homey restaurant. Drinks (4.5/5): We shared a bottle of wine. And the aforementioned limoncello shots. Food (4/5): We went with their pasta for two deal where each person gets three different types of pasta that you choose from six or so options. I love getting a variety of dishes so this was a nice way to do it. Not huge portions given the price but still delicious. The dishes were served to us quickly and we got to try some pastas we had never heard of. Overall: When in Bologna, Osteria Broccaindosso makes for a fine choice. It's a 15-minute walk or so from the center of town.

All of the pasta choices were super tasty and very much enjoyed dinner. We tried 3 different wines and they were all also very good. Food came out hot and fast and we very much enjoyed every bit. This restaurant is highly by a group of foodies from Seattle!
