In summer you can eat on the beautiful terrace overlooking the valley of the Ticino river and park, while in winter you can appreciate the beautiful rooms, one with fireplace. In any case you can taste the typical cuisine, and appreciate the rich choice of wines, the very interesting prices and the courtesy, friendship, and experience of the owners Alessandro and Katia. All offer is focused on traditional local products, from paniscia - risotto with borlotti beans, red wine, sausage, lard - to agnolotti, meats, polenta, cotechino, and others. For the wines there is no menu, but you go directly to choose the wine guided by the experience and advice of Alessandro or Katia. I chose a local wine from Piedmont, Barbera d'Alba Punta by Azelia: this Barbera comes from vines with more than 60 years, is aged 18 months in wood and is characterized by great harmony and character. Overall, a great discovery, for a great dinner in a relaxed atmosphere!

Set in the very picturesque town of Oleggio its to be found hiding along Via Nebulina. As is was a cold evening the walk down from the car had chilled us and the welcoming warmth of Osteria set the expectation of good things to come. It should be noted that there is no English and the German couple and ourselves found ourselves in comic conversations with the 2 owners, who in a perfectly Italian way described the dishes. As there was the 2 of us we decided to try 2 Primi and 2 Secondi and share which each other. Of course I should've taken down the names in details but it is quintessentially Piedmont region food. A great Risotto and Pappardelle for the first and excellent steak and pork cutlet for seconds. This is the first review on Yelp, go to Tripadvisor for additional information on the food. We ordered the 2012 Barbaresco and 2 shots of excellent grappa to finish it was the perfect ending to a great meal.
