What a great location in the Alps where you can sit outside and watch the bicyclists go flying by. I don't understand how they even got up here, but I'm impressed. The downhill ride past the restaurant is their reward for the effort.
Well, onto the restaurant. By the time we sat down there was already a pitcher of red wine waiting for us. The appetizer was risotto, or lasagna, or a half portion of each. I went for the half portions. The mushroom risotto was flavorful. The lasagna was even better. Rather than be loaded with mozzarella, it was made with a bechamel sauce. So light and flavorful. No need to order anything else as the rest of the meal is automatic. It's an assortment of meats - roast beef, pork cutlets, roast pork shank on the bone, ribs, venison and more. Some of the meat was slow roasted on a spit. Wow. There were also some oven roasted potatoes, and spinach. I kind of like spinach, but the spinach here makes me say I really like spinach.
Finish off the meal with a little espresso and then they brought little shots of an after meal liquor (including one for my 15 year old son) which capped it off just right. read more
