Tonio is a guarantee you'll stay pleasantly and eat excellent food. Of course prices are quite high, but they serve delicatessen and season food and the ambiance is also very classic and well decorated. They have a menu with mainly seafood choices, where Tuscan flavors are eternally present to refresh your palate. I ate a shrimp and melon appetizer, in basil sauce and a clams spaghetti, rare cooked (al dente) as we like it in Italy. The venue is rather elegant, waiters wear tuxedos and decor is classic. However there was something about it that just didn't make it as sophisticated as we expected... maybe the group of underdressed Chinese tourists had something to do. Food was excellent indeed. Everything we ordered was delightful. All the way from drinks to dessert, we were all happy. The restaurant's specialty is seafood (no surprise there), so we all decided to trust their claims. I ordered a salt-baked sea bass: AMAZING! Definitely give it a try. Other fish, prawns and lobster dishes were ordered at the table, they were all great. Given the price and claim to be "the best restaurant in Prato", I chose to rate it with 4 stars since it is a great restaurant but by no means a 5-star restaurant at the price range it competes in.
