I think everyone's individual experience drives reviews up or down for these types of places. Now that being said, I was fortunate enough to only be visiting at this location and didn't have to come for a medical reason. Staff were all so friendly and directed me to where I needed to go. The medical center was clean and organized. The cafeteria, well was a cafeteria. The food wasn't bad, they have to prep so much food for sooooooo many people, it's a little out of their control what goes quickly and what may be there for awhile. They were friendly and courteous though. I'm hopeful that I don't need to have any medical procedures, but from what I have seen here I would say I'd be willing to come here if I needed something done.

The QR code sent me to a website. The website said I had a zero balance. So naturally there was not anything to pay. Then I get a notice that my bill was sent to a collection agency. So how can you pay a bill without a balance. Seems sketchy to myself. If I can help it I will not be back here for myself. They need to sell to UAB so we can have a decent hospital in the area!

I suffered from PTSD, anger issues due to having been molested by the son of a family friend, and anxiety attacks. I was dead inside..saw no reason to go on. I loved feeling the anger because it meant I could feel *something*. I was incredibly adept at 'playing the game',where you act like they're helping you, and then you coast home. My therapist, Sean Sims, saw through that in a New York minute. The structure, the compassion, the tough love, that I needed, I found there in spades. I was hard headed, and that's why the two week usual stay lasted five for me. Good behavior was rewarded with an Iron Bowl party, and bad behavior was promptly addressed by attention getting via room restriction,and being made to write essays. I'm a huge foodie, and I can honestly say that the food provided us was some of the most delicious hospital food I've ever had! I'll be forever grateful to the people that helped me. Sean and the other counselors,and one nurse in particular, a lady named Luana(who I *hated* at the time,lol) showed me that life could,and would get better, I just had to buckle down and apply myself. I'm 40 now, and because of the incredible love and support that I got at that hospital, I'm now 8 classes away from my B.A. in Psychology,and I want to go to get my Masters in Clinical Mental Health, so I can intern at Mountainview, and hopefully help a child or teen as I was helped,and show them that the light they see at the end of that dark tunnel *isn't* a train.

You can tell this is a common practice when you read other people's reviews. After seeing the CRNP, she had a meltdown and started crying because I ask her to explain the charges on my bill. She couldn't explain it. Was double charged for every visit. A $155 charge for a so called office visit and another $120 for a 45 minute session. THIS IS CRAZY. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. What type therapist has a full blown meltdown and ask you to leave and still charges you? This one. I actually thought that I needed to swap seats with her. So very UNPROFESSIONAL.
