The used album are fairly priced and was able to find some older kpop albums from EXO and beast. The workers are nice and helpful to see if any of the used albums had photos cards. They also have new kpop albums too.

Another nice visit at Aladdin's! The store is big, clean, airy, calm and nice to browse. This time around I checked out the English language books, they have a bigger selection than my last visit, all very well organized. A smaller DVD selection, but my husband managed to find some, anyways. It's hard to tell they sell used books and movies in here since the place is so clean and well organized, but that's a plus! Prices are decent, customer service is very good, people working here are nice and attentive. Also, they have cool shopping bags (we got an extra one since the gentleman behind the counter was that nice) with Camus or Hemingway on. I'd try to find something to get in here just to snag one of those cool lit. inspired shopping bags!

Whenever we come to Madang Mall we make this a stop...my children love stopping by for some reason! They have a pretty good selection although I haven't bought books here for a while and my last few times I just bought random knickknacks at the front of the store...notebooks bags pencils and today we bought a sling bag I like the literary themed accessories My only gripe is that I feel like the books can be a tad bit cheaper ‍ But still cheaper than buying new! Recommend especially for korean books

I came to check this place out with my family since we heard they sold great used and new books. There are Korean and English books and are fairly priced, and the used books are in good condition and sold for a great price! The books were worth the money I spent and the employees and staff are friendly and nice, I definitely recommend here. It would be a great place to buy books when you come to Madang Plaza

Aladdin is basically the Korean Kinokuniya bookstore, except it's all used books and they don't have a super large gift section. I've never seen any hybrid Korean/English bookstore before so this was quite an experience. Some of the English books are a bit overpriced but the section I liked the most was the manga in Korean. They have some popular titles like Bleach and Chobits. It's nice if you are trying to learn Korean like I am. The manga was so cheap, about $2-$5 for each book. There is also a sizable kids picture books too (in Korean).

Nothing is in English. Super expensive. Amazon is much cheaper if you want used books. Do not recommend.

Great place for used Korean books. However the mall is outdated and in need of a facelift.

There are many structures (such as a metal vault) and beautiful designs made from uniquely binded books to relax around and explore. Even when I'm not looking to buy anything, it's still worth coming just to explore. The place is unlike anything else. It's also a perfect spot for anyone creating content for a social media travel page. Upstairs you'll find an art gallery and several other shops, while downstairs has old vinyl records and CDs. If you love that classic old bookstore smell, this place has it in full. Personally it's not my favorite, but definitely worth noting for those who do. The main downsides are parking and crowds. Finding a spot by car can be a challenge, and the store draws a good number of tourists so it can get pretty packed. If you're not a fan of crowds, just keep that in mind before you go.

It's located off of Cahuenga Blvd & Chandler Blvd, with a small private parking lot out back and plenty of street parking around. I knew this bookstore was stacked but wow! The Iliad is literally stacked with books! From floor to ceiling, this place is packed with books every which way. Because of this and narrow aisles, it can get kind of tight in places but it's easy to maneuver around. They have practically every category/genre you can think of, but be prepared to take your time since it'll take a while to look through everything. There are some seats if you want to take a load off and there's a clean restroom near the back. The new and used books vary in price, but for the most part they're on the cheaper side. The employees were nice and they even have a couple of friendly cats that roam the store (so watch your step!). I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit The Iliad, but I'm a fan and I'll definitely be back!

The moment you walk in the front door you're confronted with the fact that they have a lot of books on a lot of subjects. In fact, at this location, the moment you walk into the door, you find a gigantic pile of all kinds of books on all kinds of subjects that they're offering for very discounted prices. I've often wondered what would happen if you wanted a book on the very bottom of the pile, and if you pulled it out, everything may come flying. But, that's just part of the fun of shopping at this bookstore, you never know what adventure you're going to encounter. In terms of selection, they have books on pretty much any subject you can think of. In some ways, it's a little hard to find certain things in this bookstore due to the massive quantity of books they have all set up in long aisles. In some cases, what I find kind of fun/curious is the fact that perhaps they will have a sign telling you that a certain subject of books in a particular aisle, but, when you look down that aisle, you can find none of the books on that subject. Mostly, I believe, that's just because they've sold out of that particular subject matter. But, it does make for an interesting quest, because there's been a few times when I've looked around the shop and found books on that subject in a completely different section. Thus, the chaos of this book shop adds to the overall quest for that great piece of reading material. This bookshop focuses a lot on fiction and poetry. They really have a large collection by various authors from across all genres and across the globe. So, if you're looking for that really unique piece of fiction and or poetry, this book shop most likely will have it. Overall, ever since its inception, Iliad has been a great place to find books. Yes, it is kind of a chaotic/fun sort of a mess. But, that adds to the overall uniqueness of this business. Fun place to shop!

The staff on the floor are engaging and genuinely helpful when you're searching for a particular find. That said, my experience selling books was disappointing. The process felt impersonal, and the seller/owner was not particularly engaging. One example: I brought in a brand-new book that originally cost $40 and was offered only a $1 store credit. I understand used bookstores have to make a profit, but the experience left me feeling like my books would have been better off in a friend's library. Great place to browse and buy, but I would lower expectations if you're planning to sell.
