    Uncooked quail

The environment was good with the belly dancing performance. The service was horrible the boss was pushy and did not give us time to order food without being rushed or forced. The boss kept making up rules saying we have to order at least one entree per person. We had a table of about 20 people and some people wanted a lighter fare but we were not given that option. Overall the say, they restrict you to pay a certain amount of $. Me and another ordered their grilled items and we were given raw chicken, when we confronted the waiter about it, he argued with us saying that chicken does not have blood and that it is not raw. Arguing for about 15 minutes before he actually brought the chicken into the light (as the restaurant was very dark) and finally agreed that the chicken is indeed raw. After 15-20 minutes of arguing if the chicken was raw or not. At this point, I really don't the appetite to eat anymore and I asked that I don't want a replacement plate but to not pay for the dish because it was so poor. He said "no, you already ate 1/3 of the dish" and forced me to take a new plate and still charged me 18% service tip, the only thing they could offer was free dessert which they forgot and did not give to me until I went back to them. At the end of the evening, the boss had requested us not to post a bad reviews on their restaurant, however, these things need to be known and learned. Also, this is a free world. The boss had us take off and remove any pictures that had her face in the photo, fair enough, but if you don't want the face in a photo at a public restaurant. Don't work at a restaurant then. Overall, the service was horrific and the way the owners and the staff respond to negative feedback and their willingness to resolve the problem is poor. I do not recommend coming here if you have a large party because all they want is your money, they also charge us whopping $200 deposit if the number of people in your party does not match the number of guests you reserved your table for.

Grilled Prawns, truly amazing! And Huge!

Pictures of Greece adorn the walls, typical of these smaller places, nothing too exotic but a comfortable feel. Unlike many small venues, everything here is spotless and the limited number of tables are well spaced. Service is very friendly. Not as punctual as a chain might offer, but it's easy to forget that when your meal is delivered with such joy. The food is excellent, large portions at reasonable prices. We shared the Ribs and Saganaki appetizers, both excellent. My Mixed Grill Soulvaki was delicious. At first glance I didn't think I could eat it all but it was so good that I powered through. Definitely an alternative to more upscale Greek options, might be our go-to from now on.

We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

My colleague and I walked in and we both order the same thing - Chicken Sharwarma. Their prices are more expensive compared to their competitor and the portion is a lot small as well. I don't know what's with the high rating or maybe they just went downhill all of a sudden. The chicken sharwarma: I like how the pita bread is crunchy. The meat isn't seasoned very well. I mean I had chicken sharwarma where it would really stand out. Not much strong flavor in it. I do like the fact that they are generous in sauce. I mean I am a sauce person. The portion size is smaller compared to their competitor for the price paying. Also the chicken sharwarma is very messy to eat. It drips from either end. What's really disgusting is the hair found in my colleagues chicken sharwarma. That was nasty. Well its good that they replaced his half chicken sharwarma and she did try to explain and did apologized. We came in at noon and left at 12:30. Inside the whole restaurant there was only us and another table. I don't know how they can stay in business longer if they are getting this kind of business everyday. I have walked by couple times and they were not busy.

That works just fine for me, I'm not sure I could've had much more than a puff or two of it otherwise. It was my first sheesha experience. I was also the first one there. Cafe Med was busy and I was too afraid to go in by myself. Thank the good Yelp gods for Sarah Louise! She saved me from looking like a creep peeking in the windows for too long. The folks at Cafe Med are friendly people. Our server talked us into some Moroccan Madness (tea) while we waited for the rest of our peeps to arrive. We also snacked on some red pepper hummus and rolled up grape vine leaves (if you've never had them, they're comparable to cabbage rolls in concept... just a different flavour to them). You might also want to try the garlic pizza. As far as sheesha bars go, I have nothing else to compare this one to! So it's got three stars in my books. Mostly because the guy serving our table offered to fill our tea pots up with more hot water, took the pots away and didn't return with them until we inquired about them again. And also because, even though it's a spot to come smoke things, there were times the haze built up enough to burn my eyes for a moment or two. At any rate, the food was pretty cheap, the pipes were just over $10 each and they kept bringing new coals around. From what I gathered, not dropping ashes into the pipe is a bit of an art that Cafe Med has mastered. Overall, a positive experience!
