Great theater ! Ample amount of parking spaces. If you have an electrical vehicle (Tesla) there are charging stations for your cars. Matinee prices are thee Best! Kids Combo $5 includes small popcorn / gummy snacks / small drink which can be substituted for a slushee. Yum !! Entry way could've been swept due to the popcorn on the floor. Restrooms were clean!! This is an outdoor shopping mall with a lot of boutique style shops. So plan on walking from store to store. But first, spend 10 minutes driving around so you know where everything is, and what stores are there. They do have large anchor stores, but there is a large parking lot separating them. Also it seems like it is 2 shopping centers. An old one, and then a new one down the hill. Plus they do have a movie theater which is nice. read more

This is a very nice shopping center for the local area. Now that it has filled up, they have an excellent selection of shops and restaurants. We like coming here when we are in the area. Now that enclosed malls are dying off, this is the new way to shop. read more

A new, outdoor shopping mall, Alamance Crossing boasts an impressive list of retailers and anchors, including a large Hobby Lobby store that is the main draw to this location for me when I am traveling through the area. You can find an impressive list of top chain stores, from Barnes and Noble to Brookstone to Eddie Bauer to JCPenney, as well as plenty of fast food and restaurants, a Music & Arts store, and a cinema. This mall would easily rate a solid four stars or possibly better from me were it a conventional indoor mall or at the very least a more walker-friendly hybrid or even outdoor mall, but because the stores are so widely separated from each other, you're pretty much forced to drive between locations unless you want to spend as much time walking across parking lots and sidewalk as you do shopping and browsing. I love being outdoors on a beautiful day, but this mall's layout falls somewhere between mall and strip mall and I find that to be a design flaw. That being said, this is really one of the most, and perhaps the most, impressive outdoor malls I have been to thus far--I'm just not a fan of the outdoor mall, preferring the hybrid concept espoused by Southpoint and Triangle Town Center. There are decent stores here, and the design is esthetically pleasing, but the outdoor shopping "experience" is something that I feel should best be left to real city shopping (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc). The parking lot and traffic pattern are horrendous unless you are going to one of the department stores, and even then, the aforementioned traffic pattern means that you better know where you're going, because if you start to hesitate, someone who is not paying attention and cutting across rows, or surfing their smartphone for the "mall app" is going to run into your car. Not good. If you know how to drive in traffic circles, that will help, except that many of the folks driving near you won't have a clue, so like I said, pay attention. There'll always be a wait at the various eateries (recession my foot, either that or champagne taste on a beer budget is more than common in this little town), and no place takes reservations, so keep that in mind. They just recently clamped down on the parents dropping their herds of kids off unattended on Fridays and Saturdays by requiring someone over age 21 to accompany all people under 18. That should help make the shopping experience more pleasant, since that free babysitting option for tweens dressed like street walkers is no longer a viable option. Kudos to them for that. This place majorly loses points for having filthy public restrooms. So bad that even the woman in the store I was shopping in admitted that "they're pretty bad", so this obviously isn't a fleeting problem that I just happened to stumble upon when the mall management staff was having an "off day". The women's restroom that I tried to use needed a deep cleaning with some bleach, not to mention that there was absolutely ZERO toilet paper in 3 stalls, and no hand soap. Disgusting. And this was at 11am on a Tuesday. Simply unacceptable. When I inquired with an employee, he said "Wow, that's surprising; I just checked them on FRIDAY." I thought he was joking, but nope, he was serious. He took me to see someone above him, who basically admitted that they don't get around to restocking/maintaining the restrooms on a daily basis. How absolutely foul. So, that said, if you don't need to use the bathroom, and you shop during the day when your chance of getting mixed up in the traffic pattern from the twilight zone and plowed into by a soccer mom trying to text, you'll be ok. Otherwise, head on down the road to Tanger in Mebane, or Friday Center in Greensboro. Never had a problem with their restrooms, and the parking and traffic flow is much better organized. read more
