Need a new phone case? Power tools? Diapers? Plants? This flea market has got you covered! One of my favorite places to visit when I am at my Mother in Laws. You can spend all day here, sometimes two. There is a .50 cent entry fee per adult. and bring a cart, a wagon, a HUGE backpack or a husband and teenager. You will want to buy everything, and if you can't get it today, come back tomorrow. Don't worry about eating before you come, there are plenty of food stalls and carts with plenty of options. This is not for the tender of heart, it gets hot and crowded and you can find some interesting individuals that maybe make you feel uncomfortable. Just stay away from the area we're everyone dances. I regularly visit La Pluga de Alamo almost every Saturday and i enjoy all the things vendors have EXCEPT!! the vendor yelling and calling on customers to come to their booth Pasele, Pasele, Barato, Barato iam very annoyed with the cheap calls as customer go by they dont even do that in Mexico City very disturbing. Very cheap and degrading way of attracting business OH! and by the way this is the only place you can get prescription drugs without a prescription read more

Been to many flea markets, as far I know about markets, this one isn't as big a wide I was told it to be. But none the less, cheap entrance and cheap things to buy. It pretty much has what people are looking for at a really, really cheap price. Love come to these types of markets and finding food, candy, bootleg movies that are DVD quality for only a $1, or items that haven't been seen since I was a kid like the original Godzilla toys!alwys awesome.word. read more

OMGOSH, the best Flea market I've ever been to. You don't even have to cross into Mexico cause they have it all. Fresh produce, Mexican candy, food and so much more. Even chickens, bunnies, birds. I will definitely go back when I'm in McAllen. read more

I hadn't been here in 15 years, and boy has it improved! Parking still sucks, so you might find yourself circling around for a while or parking in a dirt lot. The entrance charge is 50 cents per person. Everything inside is pretty cheap though. If you've never been to one of these, it's basically like a bazaar or a jumbo version of a garage sale with multiple vendors. You can find pretty much anything here, used and new, including pets (bunnies, guinea pigs, puppies, chickens, doves, sugar-gliders, etc---I saw a dude carrying out a scorpion in a tank), furniture, clothing, tools, plants, electronics, toys, party supplies, vegetables, etc. They even have several barber shops, restaurants/food stands, and a lawyer/notary public. Crazy stuff. It's busiest/has the most vendors on the weekends---early morning to early afternoon. Speaking Spanish or coming with a Spanish speaker is highly recommended. read more
