Alan Higgs centre is a superb sporting centre. Built a few years ago but still maintains its modern look, with great equpiment/facilities. There is an outdoor full size football pitch. Which is of the 3rd generation grass. awesome stuff! You can rent it out for a fee of coursebut is absolutely brilliant! Then there are the indoor pitchs. These are usually split into 4 pitchs. Again using the same generation grass. Great pitch to play on in or outdoor. The most annoying thing about the pitchs are the little bits of black rubber off the pitch, these get everywhere! Absolutely everywhere. Make sure you take off shin pads etc before you go into your own house. Other wise you will be hoovering them up days later. The alan higgs centre is a great place to go if your sporty. It ha a full sized outdoor pitch whcih is the amde from a third gen pitch. This is floodlit and can be hired out too. Then indoors there is an upstairs bar area with tv for watching the football. also it has four smaller indoor pitches made from the same 3rd gen pitch. Great parking facilites and simple to get to from anywhere in coventry or surrounding area. read more

My son goes trampoling here. The instructors really know there stuff. They also do childrens party's in the soft play area. I do keep meaning to start going to the well equipped gym there but not quite managed it as yet!! read more

Alan higgs is a sporting facility which has many classes and events on regularly especially for younger people. It has a large indoor area which can be used as 4 quarter football pitches with synthetic grass and also has outdoor pitches which are fully floodlit. These pitches, some grass some synthetic are used by the coventry city academy and youth team to play matches. There is also a gym at the centre a small bar and cafe and a crech too.There are multipurpose halls which can be used from badminton to basketball. Alan Higgs centre is really well run and has great friendly staff. If you are a local business then you can sometimes agree preferential rates for your staff on a loyalty scheme. Its really well equipped with a great gym, ball courts, outdoor football pitches and so on. My company had a family fun day there a few years back which showcased everything they offered from trampoline fun for the kids to salsa dancing. It was great. The facility is really clean and well cared for, the changing rooms are good. There is no pool but members can use a nearby one included in the very reasonable membership price. I am a gym member at the Alan Higgs Centre and they have got a great gym with plenty of nearly new equipment. I've been a member for about 3 years. The membership fees are very reasonable. I don't use any of the other facilities so can't comment on them, but it is less than half the cost of some other gyms in the area and just as good. One annoying thing is their 'radio station' that plays very repetitive adverts for their services and indifferent quality music. It gets very annoying when you go often. They used to play a local commercial radio station and I would much rather listen to that! read more

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS GYM. very over crowded wast of money have waited over 40 minuets sometimes just to get a bench. never any lockers either. when ask about what to do about it by staff just get told to try another center which are all the same big mistake signing up. read more
