I was looking for a photographer for my maternity pictures since I got pregnant. It was hard for me to put into words what I wanted. My husband and I can't praise Alan Phillip Photography enough for the amazing job they did at our wedding. From the engagement session, to the wedding day, we were given a wide variety of different pictures we could use, because they were all so perfect! Their attention to detail, and artistic eye made every picture unique and beautiful. Our photos are fun, lively, and special, which is something that comes across in each and every single photo. And while I can go on all day about how absolutely stunning each photo they captured was, I don't think I need to speak much for how amazing their photography skills are, as their pictures speak for themselves. However, what I do think is necessary to highlight is how beyond extraordinary both these men are behind the scene. My husband and I currently live in Miami, and really hesitated on booking them because we were having our wedding in Cleveland. I initially reached out to them to inquire about the packages, but didn't think we would be able to afford booking them to come to the wedding, as it would likely turn out to be an outrageous additional travel cost- or so we thought. During our initial conversation, I was surprisingly taken back by how humble and willing to work with us they were. Unlike some vendors that can be quite demanding when traveling, they were the opposite, extremely considerate of the cost and so sweet about the whole scenario. I couldn't help but fall in love with their charisma even through a single phone discussion. So in combination with how wonderful they seemed over the phone to how stunning their portfolio was, we decided to book them over a year in advance. From phone conversations, to engagement shoot, the relationship with them really began to strengthen, unlike your normal vendor-party relationship. Like most brides, I had a million questions, wanted opinions, demanding needs ;), etc, and no matter how cumbersome the bugging became, they were ALWAYS so responsive. I didn't always have the same experience with some of the vendors, who obviously dodged some of my emails/calls, so I truly appreciated this about them. But in addition to how professional and responsive they both were through out the long waiting period before the wedding date, they won us over by how amazing their personalities were. Alan and Raul have a way of making people feel very comfortable in front of the camera (coming from someone who doesn't like being in front of the camera) which makes for beautiful candid shots! They are so passionate about what they do and they make it a point to make you feel your best even when in doubt. Most of the guests came and shared how impressed they were with the professionalism, the kindness, the energy and the care of Alan and Raul. And speaking for myself, I have to say, not only will they take breathtaking pictures during your wedding, but they will also make you feel like the most beautiful bride in the world! They are also willing to take on part-time honorary bridal party duties through out the day, from helping me find my wedding programs, holding my tip money for other vendors, to helping me get back into my room, the list goes on and on, I truly felt like they were part of my bridal party ;). Words can't express my gratitude and love towards Alan and Raul. That joyful energy of theirs definitely brought a plus value to our special day. All along, they made my husband and I feel like a king and queen and were an integral part in making our wedding day, a dream come true. My only complaint now is that I am left with too many beautiful pictures to decide on which are my favorite!! :) Thank you so much Alan and Raul, we are forever indebted to you both for making our day so special! Almost one year ago, my now-husband and I spontaneously tied the knot at our local courthouse in Miami, Florida with only one close friend and our 1-year old daughter as our witnesses. We decided to scout a local photographer to capture a couple of shots of our special day. Our expectations were fairly low...we were hoping to get just one or two decent photos that captured the moment. As we all know, most "established" wedding photographers won't even carry out a conversation with you unless you are ready to spend $3,500 for the most "basic" of wedding photography packages. In addition, I found out that they are fully booked months - sometimes years - ahead of time. Somehow, a Google search for courthouse weddings allowed me to uncover Alan Philip Photography. We connected via email: I liked his portfolio and his prices were more than fair. Done - the job was his. What we were not expecting was the utmost beauty and incredible quality of his photography. We ended up not with 1-2 photos; but instead purchased all of them because so many were truly beautiful. One of them, featuring yours truly embracing her sweet baby girl, was so precious that even my cleaning lady teared up when she saw it and requested a print! All in all this simple civil ceremony with no props and zero decorations yielded 10+ certifiable frame-worthy photos that we are absolutely crazy about. Alan even turned the mirrored glass of the courthouse building's windows into an amazing backdrop! He somehow managed to make our simple, humble affair look like a thoroughly planned, elegant wedding with a dramatic, grandiose scale. This guy knows what he is doing; and I consider him to be a hidden gem and a great value - watch him rise up the ranks! Alan has both raw artistic talent and a great eye when it comes to photo composition. We definitely recommend him and hope to work with him again for our next family session. We had our maternity, newborn and Christmas photos taken with them at their studio, and they are by far our family's most treasured possessions. They have an incredible eye along with a very clean, crisp, simple and timeless style, and their easy going and funny personalities make us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Their assistant, Griselda, is also wonderful and extremely helpful when it comes time to choosing photos. They're extremely professional and accommodating (we've had 4 dogs and a baby at their studio!) and they always strive for perfection. I received a surprise for an engagement photo shoot with the amazing Alan from a dear friend. This by far has been the best gift anyone could give given that Alan and Raul make such a professional team. My fiancé and I were very nervous since this was our first shoot, but Alan and Raul made us feel so comfortable. I am so grateful for Alan ! I had a photoshoot with my son for his first birthday . Not only was I nervous of going by myself with my son but I was so stressed out because I decided to do it right during sunrise at the beach ! Mr. Philip was hired by our property manager to photograph their commercial tenants for the purpose of having our pictures posted on social media. When I walked in for my appointment, I was immediately impressed by the quality of the photographs that laid on a table and stood on several easels. I did not know some of the places photographed exists in Miami and I have lived here all my life! The quality of his pictures are truly that of a very experienced professional photographer who has an eye for details. By quality I am referring to lighting, facial expression, backdrop, pose. He is the master! I was so impressed by his photographs of me that for the first time in 21 years of conducting business, I posted my pictures on social media and have received numerous compliments.
