It was generally kept quiet and felt stress/chaos free. That was important to me as dad didn't respond well to unnecessary noise or conflict. He had his own room and personal space that was designed to feel like there was ownership and autonomy in living. Affording a continuous environment that was his, and while he was attended to, it was his and there was pride in this. He was well cared for regarding his diet and was kept clean and comfortable. When dad passed and the facility wanted our family to transfer him asap to the funeral home, we rather abruptly explained that he would remain present until rites were performed and visitors had their opportunity to sit with him and the family. We really pushed the limit on this and they were respectful at all times and didn't rush us past the initial announcement of his passing. That grace is what I will remember most. When we finally dissolved into dysfunction, staff continued to treat us gently and never outwardly judged us. We were definitely a challenge. Overall they expertly cared for my precious father and extended that compassion to my family. I am so glad he was able to pass safely. He deserved only the best.

I have not had any issues with this ankle. My second injury was more complicated. I had a torn hip labrum and torn glutes as well as plantar fasciitis. I again saw Alec for the plantar fasciitis. One visit with soft tissue work and a home stretching routine healed this in four weeks. For my hip issues I saw Alec, Brian and Helen. They worked on my pain and strength. Brian was amazing in getting my torn labrum back in place with it became painful. Helen does overall therapy but also does shock wave treatments. These helped relive my pain. Recognizing that I was also dealing with pain from overcompensation all of these PTs worked on my entire torso to reduce my pain and increase flexibility. I highly recommend United PT

I was having…read moreextreme lower back pain and nerve pain down my right leg, which was a reoccurring injury from 4 years ago. I had an epidural cortisone shot back then with the spine institute, and it worked so well, but I had major billing issues and ended up having to pay a lot of money out of pocket. Dr. Gay's office was diligent in insuring that my insurance would cover both my office visit and my shot with them so I never had to worry about the financial side. I was nervous about my cortisone shot with a new doctor because Dr. Gay did not have it at a surgery center the way the spine institute did, however, I could not be happier with the process. Not only was it quick and easy, it was not really painful, and once I saw the room and the assistant, I felt completely comfortable with the process and with Dr. Gay. Within 24 hours I experienced substantial pain relief, and after going through 4 weeks of dibilitating pain, I almost cried with relief when I woke up the next morning and could get out of bed without assistance. Dr. Gay did set proper expectations that physical rehabilitation would be necessary to maintain the pain relief and fully recover, and immediately sent a referral to a place that was in network who I received a call from the very next day. I am so happy that I went in to see Dr. Gay, and I will continue to use him as my pain relief provider in the future (hopefully for not much longer). The only negative thing I can say is that he is very busy and it can take a while to get in to see him, which when you are in so much pain can feel like forever.

Why not 5 stars? The company that handles the X-rays in here is unethnical. They'll send you to collections over the drop of a hat. I had a bill for like $30 that I wasn't aware of....it was about 16 days old and I got a letter from collections about it. They have since apologized and corrected the issue but...Ih have many more X-ray's and CT's in my future, so I won't up the rating until I get through all of those without additional nasty-grams from collections.

Their parking is limited for such a huge building with large staff. That's a definite complaint but not a deal breaker. Most of the staff we've encountered have been ultra helpful, welcoming, and most importantly, knowledgeable. Some appointments have felt very "assembly line," but for the most part, any concerns we've brought up seem to be received well. X-rays are completed each appointment we've had. Equipment and medical room areas always look clean and professional. We especially appreciate their walk in injury clinics. Very convenient. Staff encountered working those special hours have been efficient and patient. We look forward to continuing our care here.
