Well... The service was mediocre and semi rude. The menu had limited fare. The wine menu was so-so at best. Oh and drinking beer out of a can kills the entire experience. If there's going to be outdoor service and wait service then all the tables should be treated equally. I was there on Sunday afternoon 8/30 and my friend and I were virtually ignored while the waiter flirted and chatted up other tables and would walk right past us, never asking if we needed anything. We were invisible. We left after one round and it wasn't until we were up and by the corner that we got any acknowledgement. There are only so many tables so I don't get how this could happen. I want to support my local gay bar but not if this is how the service will be. read more

Every time I come to this place it is dead. Even when they book shows it's absolutely boring and to add to it - that it's a dive bar is an understatement. The gay scene is Astoria is lacking and only this place and ICON as a go to is truly underserved. However, at least ICON has a Dancefloor and plays good music and gets busy on weekends with go go's. Found this place while attending a bbq, party a few doors away. So we decided to sneak out and try it...to my experience this is the best bar i been in years, the drinks were excellent and the portion were big we went on bingo Sunday and my friend won a battle of wine..fist the bartender shaun were to die for, very friendly and of course good-looking too, he was the best and the two ladies named misty and Diana(i think that's her name) were great performers.. they were fun, all of us had great time if i were ever in that area again i will definitely stop by again read more

Albatross is finally reopened under new management, and Nathan is truly a fantastic bar owner. We stopped in during the day for a quick beer (that turned into five) then promised we would return later that night for Saturday's drag show hosted by Jizzabella. Easily the most fun I've had in a very long time. Nathan kept the drinks flowing and it just felt so comfortable, so neighborhood-y. Definitely our new go-to. Decided to drop in for a drink and game of pool while waiting for a friend to get off work. The bartenders are really nice and the new owner took the time to introduce himself and talk to us. It's a great place and I've enjoyed myself both times I've been here. The quality of the cocktails was lacking though. Our drinks were pretty weak, mostly mixer and not much alcohol. I don't think the bartenders are intentionally making bad drinks, I think they just don't know what a standard pour is. They're new so maybe they're still in the training stage, I hope? Next time I'm in town I will probably stop by because I do like the place, but stick to beer. read more

Very friendly bar tenders and cozy atmosphere during the karaoke night on Friday. The bar itself is nicely decorated (the Halloween decor is not overwhelming) and the bathroom is clean. You can't go wrong here. Great crowds, always without the HK and BK vibe. It's a bar for everyone. $7 pint glass cocktails, why would you ever go elsewhere? The owner is very present and his staff are all great. Monday drag-wasted bingo and Wednesday karaoke are weekly highlights. I'm so thankful we have a place like this in my neighborhood.
