We spent 2 nights here during our 1st time in Florence. The location was superb, very close to the train station and only a couple alleys away from the famouse Duomo. There were lots of stores and restaurants nearby, so it's always a busy area and convenient, you'll never feel alone. The room was clean and it also smelled really good. The bathroom was small but adequate. We stayed in the double room and it was good for 2 people. There was a sitting sea with a small desk and chair, and a cupboard with a tiny safe and hangers. We loved the blackout curtains. Breakfast was in a small dining room by the reception area. There were lots of sweets, cereals, some cold cuts, and sliced cheese. They also had 1 kind of cereal, some fresh fruits, and a coffee/espresso machine. We walked everywhere and only took a bus once to get to Michelangelo square because we didn't want to climb hehe.
Will certainly recommend this hotel to those who travel with a certain budget and not fussy about hotel rooms. They have a small elevator so you dont have to lug your luggage up the stairs. The hotel shared the building with residential apartments, the building door is locked after a certain time and you use your hotel key to get in after hours. They didnt change our towels during our stay, but perhaps it's the whole environmental friendly thing? (They had some signs written in Italian). read more
