Gorgeous little village, complete with a absolutely harmless German Shepard who greets you as you enter town, by laying down for a belly rub. Bartender is sweet and makes a great lemon beer. Don't miss it. Peregrino dinner menu is full of yummy items, even if you are not exactly sure what the translation means. Rooms have 2 twin beds and a wardrobe, plus tv. Bathrooms are clean and have adorable tony tubs with showers. You'll love it.

It is 2 blocks from the Castle and main church. The hotel doesn't have much street presence, you have to look hard for the sign. They buzz you into the foyer. The front desk people didn't speak any English when we were there. Our room was clean and modern. It was a corner unit so it had 2 windows. The bathroom door was glass and slid on rollers. So although you had visual privacy, there was none for sound. We couldn't get the heater in the bathroom to work but not sure if it's a seasonal thing ie they only turn on in the winter. It was the kind where hot water runs through pipes. There was a restaurant attached but it looked deserted at night and not open for dawn patrol. There was really nothing musical about the hotel. I guess it was a print shop before for sheet music.

The bartender was rude and a jerk…read more My fiends arrived to the bar before I got there. It had been raining and it was cold. I had plugged in my cell phone while I was taking off my pack and rain poncho. The bartender then comes over and unplugs my phone. From what I understood, he tells me that since I didn't buy anything to drink, that I couldn't have my phone plugged in. If he had waited few minutes for me to get settled in then I would have bought a drink. My friends and I then packed up and left.

It's a charming little hotel, with a gorgeous patio, a library, nice rooms, and great views. When we arrived, unfortunately, my traveling companion and I were given a bedroom with a single bed. The staff were most accommodating, and on short order were able to provide us with a room with two beds, even though they did so with some difficulty on their part. It was greatly appreciated. The room was nicely decorated and updated. Old, and yet, new. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and served in a quaint little dining room, reminiscent of so many older European hotels, on the main floor. This hotel is near everything you could want. There's a great restaurant just across the street. There are shops, bars, the Cathedral and Episcopal Palace and museums just a few blocks (3 minute walk) away. If you're on the Camino and need a luxurious resting place for a night, this would be one well worth considering.

Our private room cost @ 37 euros for two people. Everything is very clean and common sense. (A scrubber and washboard for cleaning clothing as an example). The quiet room (#2) had a floor-to-ceiling view of the bridge, a dreamy bed and a cool glass-walled shower. For dinner, walk over the bridge to Bar Mar and ask bartender Manual for a glass of white wine while he makes you a fresh salad with tuna and a tortilla (omelet). You will never want to leave this sweet town.
