Our Children have been here for just 4 weeks and they are already very well settled in. They really…read morelike it at Phorms. It's really great to see how happy all the children are plus clearly they enjoy the international nature of the place. The school is brilliant for teaching a broad curriculum and helping German children to speak fluent English (most of them do) On the other side, however, I have been surprised how little new German our children have picked up since they left their Integration class at their last School in Hamburg. We have been offered extra tuition, but at extra cost. It's not so much though and we will more than likely take this up. In terms of location and facilities, obviously a school housed in builders portacabins is not something one would consider to be the perfect setting for a school. However, on reflection, once inside it's very hard to tell since all the classrooms are as would be expected in any school in Germany (or the UK for that matter) The major downside (for us anyway) is that getting there from the middle of Hamburg is a bit of a pain, involving a trip on the metro and then a bus. If deciding to drive then expect the usual school run carnage around drop off and pick up times. We are looking forward very much to the school relocating to its new home in 2012.
