Managers, please convey to your cashiers to not be rude to customers and respond if they repeatedly ask for help from someone else. I just had a very rude cashier and I repeatedly asked for someone else to be called (other employees previously had suggested that or that a cashier would help me with something). But she wouldn't help me or call anyone to help. The whole interaction was beyond rude and definitely not a way any employee of any store should treat a customer. read more

Whenever possible I purchase organic produce. This Albertsons has a lovely assortment of reasonably priced organics. The display was clean and orderly, the veggies looked fresh. I found just what I was seeking. I can't comment on other products in the store, although I will say the aisles were wide and clean. I do wish more check out counters were open at peak hours. As the consumer coming in hoping to purchase a few items, when stuck behind someone with a full basket and long lines at the other open registers, it doesn't make for a smooth experience. read more

This post is for the bakery department. Called at 8am requesting 24 cupcakes by 12p and oh by the way the team name is the purple geodes, any chance you can create a rock or something on the cupcake? Well to our surprise not only did they make 24 fresh cupcakes but they out did themselves with the design. They didn't just put a blob of frosting on top they actually created geodes that had been broke open and filled with crystals (purple sugar) oh and all this for $15. The team was thrilled and we were impressed. Super top notch service!! read more

Grievance against SAV-ON Pharmacy in the Safeway/Albertsons store Hilyard St. Eugene Oregon 97405. I called in my prescription refill to SAV-ON. They said my prescription for insulin would be ready on Friday September 18 in the afternoon. I went to pick it up September 21 about 4:00 pm. I had one dose of insulin left which I took this morning. But SAV-ON had not refilled the insulin request because they had run out of their inventory. Their reorder had just been delivered to their pharmacy the previous hour and they were still in the process of unpacking it. I waited 15 minutes the crowded grocery, then left without it. Within five minutes of shopping at this store, I came across 5 customers without a mask on despite the Governor's mandate for mask wearing required for all indoor places. I asked a few staff members there if they're enforcing the new mandate and they acted as if they couldn't care less. Will not shop here again until the pandemic is over. This came as the entire Lane County has only 4 ICU beds left and new infections are on the rise. What is going on through people's head and why is management not doing anything about it to make the store safe for everyone? Why??? read more

Friday July 31st we put in our online order for pick up on Saturday Aug 1st. I requested 9 am, but it did initially give me a 11 hour window. I called the store to narrow it down. Groceries were ready by 11 am. I drove up, parked, & called. They came out within 5 minutes & I was on my way. I have used other grocery pick ups, but it was such a hassle because they were constantly out of items & wanting to substitute items. It just wasn't worth my time since I had to go to the store after anyway. Albertson's had everything I wanted in stock & the produce was perfect. Alrighty. I don't shop Albertsons unless I need to run in and grab something. This store is close by and I was wanting to bbq and didn't want to battle the MofC parking lot... I notice as I was walking up, ALL the shopping carts were brand spankin new!!! No weird sounds. Strings rapped around the wheel so it doesn't roll right or wheel that doesn't touch the ground even. No kid stickers all over the handle or nasty -who knows what- all in the basket. They were new and clean and glided ever so nicely!!!! Then to a nice surprise, they have a lovely heater blowing on you as you walk through the door. I had to just stop and enjoy the warmth. One thing I have always dreaded in a grocery store is the refrigerated/freezer area. IT"S COLD!!!! rightfully so.... Well this lovely Albertsons thoughtfully put heaters at the end of the colder isles and one in the middle. What a brilliant idea!!! I ended up spending more time in the isle and ultimately more money... The store was very clean and organized. The produce area was stocked with beautiful produce with organic choices available. Unbelievable sales around every corner. And check yourself registers. This is not a store for alternative diets. But a very nice store to shop in for basic needs... read more

Albertsons here is so well laid out, well equipped, friendly, and underused. Except for at 6PM, the store is never packed and it's a breeze to shop in. All of the tellers are friendly and helpful. The self checkout is not 65 million years old, and rarely has a line to wait in. While grocery outlet and WinCo beats it in price, albertsons is the best and cheapest market in the south Eugene area. Best of all, it isn't crowded by frat bros trying to get some keystone light at 11AM on a Tuesday (See: Safeway). The pharmacy can get a review of its own. After switching from a pharmacy that accused me of taking extra pills when actually it was their mistake, SavOn has been a dream. Apparently my doctor missed the day when they taught how to write prescriptions, and SavOn fixes ALL of those problems. This pharmacy has saved me time, stress, gas, and money all because they do what they say they do! On top of all of their competency and helpfulness, the pharmacists and techs here have been so helpful for me, and so friendly, it's actually made me tear up a few times. Why do I feel like Albertsons has gotten more and more depressing over the years? As a kid I remember it being pretty comparable to Safeway but now I only go into one if it's the only close by option. I stopped in here to grab toothpaste and cookie dough... random combo right? It felt like a ghost town inside and I couldn't wait to get out from under those intense fluorescent lights! The layout here is super confusing to me as well. If I have to option to go to Safeway (even the Safeway in town that I hate) I will go there instead of Albertsons. Maybe this chain just needs to be remodeled and rebranded? read more

The employees at this store seem absolutely miserable! There's never the same faces with a few exceptions. There's one checker that looks like a bad Elvis impersonator only he's not fun, he's really slow and not very friendly. I don't know why they keep him at the front lines! Someone in management needs to look into why employee morale is so low. Also the price of deli and bakery goods is too high connecting the quality which is just mediocre. Their health/drug section is ridiculously small, just a few aisles and they crammed greeting cards in there too. Now I drive the extra miles to do major shopping at Safeway to find happier faces, better store layout and better quality food and just use Albertsons for quick stops for milk and such. read more

Staying with some friends that live near by and have probably visited this Albertsons 4 times in the last week. All visits so far have been enjoyable and pleasant and I almost appreciate the laid back vibes and the lack of other shoppers (aka less people to run into me with their cart). Tonight was an exceptional experience though. Knowing the meat counter closed at 9 Pm, we rolled up at 8:54 worried we would miss the meats to get bacon and burger meat. Tammy L was there to help us with a warm and welcoming smile. I was shocked cause in California the meat counter would have been closed by 8:45 when they were supposed to be there till 9. Not only did she hit it out of the park on meeting our requests and doing it with an amazing, Uplifting attitude, she even told us the weekly ads had a coupon to get our ground beef cheaper!! Wow !!! Above and beyond. You know how sometimes you just get a good vibe off people ? Yeah, that's Tammy. She radiates. So we got our ruffage for our burgers and went to checkout. This is where we were helped by Seth M. Long story short, there was an issue with the coupon and he ended up manually entering it and giving us a 50 cent discount on top for our troubles. What a G. Between Seth and Tammy, you've got a dream team. I'll also note, I came in late last night and was helped by the "Elvis looking dude" (like that other salty 1 star yelp review described him), and he was helpful and efficient. No where in my check out experience did I feel he moved slow. The blonde girl doing that bagging (didn't catch her name, but she was a shorter blonde girl with a nice smile and pretty eyes) was also really warm and had an awesome, radiating attitude and aura. All in all, I don't believe this store is a 1 1/2 star store. I believe the staff here goes above and beyond to accommodate my grocery needs and the whole vibe of the store is laid back and positive. Great job Albertsons. My friends told me they will only go to Albertsons exclusively now, and for good reason. read more

I love Albertson's "Cheap Chicken Monday." No only is this a very good deal on a hot meal after work, but the quality of the chicken is consistent. I can always walk into their Deli department and get exactly what I expect. Keep up the good work! read more

I have shopped at this supermarket since I moved to Eugene, on average no less than once a week for 7.5 years now. Recently I have been noticing the following (1) An overall decline in the quality of produce, both fruits and vegetables. I've shopped on multiple different days and multiple times of the day and had the same experience repeatedly the last year or so; more and more bad fruits and veggies... (2) They got rid of EVERY TRASH CAN and put out recycling stuff, which is great, but leave one can and a sign saying where it's located please, just for convenience. (3) Less overall selection and higher prices. (4) They constantly only have 1 lane open, and it's often the "express lane," which then gets overrun with people with more than 20 items. I wish I could say this was maybe because they recently added self-checkout, but that's not true, I shopped there for years and this place VERY rarely has a second checker, much less a 3rd, even during usual high-volume days/hours. I talked to a manager about all these observations/complaints and he basically validated them all and was like, "We've been going through some changes." I've already stopped purchasing numerous items there and get them at the Safeway that's closer to me...I'm not sure how much longer I'll shop there. I spend on average about $60 a week there to feed my wife and I, they're losing about $20 a week to Safeway. If I quit shopping there altogether that's a loss of $240 a month minimum, add on that we have a child just starting to eat "real food" and it's more. Maybe that's not a lot...but I'm sure I'm not the only one who is shopping there less. read more
