What a shop! I'm on a cross country solo tour and I walked into this shop in dire need of new tires, tubes, a chain, and some general bike loving. I did the unspeakable and asked if it was possible to get the bike by the end of the following day and although a bit busy in general this season, they take bike-tourers under their wings whenever possible. For a shop that only had one review on Yelp, I was seriously worried - but no reason to be! This is a REAL BIKE SHOP!!!! Hahaha! They have all the goodies that you may need. Be prepared if you need 26" you're gonna need to call ahead to order. A basic tune costs $65 bucks and they'll call you if you need anything additional. I took the only skinny pair of 26" tires and the last two tubes (26x1.5) the only downside to this is that they tossed one of my current tubes and I could've patched it :( so now I have two tubes on the bike and only 1 extra. Aside from my gear, the shop specializes in Specialized Bikes with everything from MTB, road, fatty snow bikes, and touring. They've got loads of shoes, jerseys, shorts, shoes, and helmets to chose from. Handlebar tape, tire levers, bike snacks (waffles and shot blocks,) patch kits, and saddle bags galore! When I need small parts, new gear or any accessory I know exactly where to go because they can get me anything. Support your local bike shop...these peeps are legit!! read more

Albrecht offers stellar service at a very reasonable price. Two people independently offered them up as the shop to go to in Sioux City. I needed a major tune-up after riding 3,000 miles on my bike from Oregon (greatbigbikeride.wordpress.com), and man did I get a detailed tune-up. Korey kindly pointed out that my chains needed replacement, brake pads were good but only had 40% life in them, and that everything else looked great. While ringing me up, Korey asked if my RAGBRAI team (Team Roadshow) had a place to stay the night. I said no, and he immediately offered his place up! Very cool. Their price point is slightly higher than some others, but they sell quality in both products and services and are not a bottom feeder store. This allows them to stay in business long term. These guys are some of the nicest people out there. I was in need of of replacement bottom bracket bearings, as mine were seized up and felt like they were welded to the frame, and even they said they wouldn't be able to get me in until, two days later, they squeezed me in right then and there. They are also open to sharing any knowledge you may ask and even let you borrow tools if you bring your bike in to tune up yourself! They have definitely won my business over, and I will always shop there for that new BMX part that I need, they even order parts for you if they don't carry them! read more
