Best place to eat in Rockport. This hits the spot every.single.time. Highly recommend the shrimp or oyster po-boy.

On a recent family trip out to Rockport ~this tiny fish market became to biggest catch of day! ------ Ok. I tried my hand at a joke and it came out kinda fishy. That was the last one: I promise! Large po boys with fresh shrimp, fried oysters, or the fish of the day -- topped off with juicy, sliced tomatoes, and smothered in your choice of tarter cocktail sauce made a meal to die for! Thursday through Sunday the group that Alby's Seafood came to greet loudly as. "AH! Hello there, Pringles" wondered in to wonder out with an arm full of po boys, french fries, and fresh oysters to enjoy later in the evenings ~~~ The (fried) oyster po boy got a thumbs up all around, the combo (shrimp and oysters) was a classic, but my favorite was the catfish po boy. All three days; however, we had to face disappointment on the side... No stuffed jalapenos or boudin balls! The nice lady behind the counter explained, on our third attempt of ordering these sides, that the cook responsibly for the delectable treats was off for that weekend. Four stars for 1. Not writing it on your dry-eraser menu that the sides were unavailable. 2. Waiting 'til the third order from the same people to finally explain.

Shrimp Po Boy, definitely worth a visit.

This place is gross, smells bad, and they hardly have any local catches. Added to that, customer service is terrible. Go elsewhere.

Bought sacks of fresh whole Oysters here last fall. They were excellent in quality and price. I highly recommend this place.

We arrived for a late lunch. Even with all the fresh seafood…read morethe place had had no fishy order. We chose the special of the day. It included a large fish fillet, oysters, large shrimp, coleslaw, French fries. We were not impressed. The oysters were very small and strong. My husband's fillet was not cooked all the way, it was thick. The coleslaw was ok, tartar sauce is made in house. The large shrimp were delicious:) The gentleman that is the head cook was very cordial. Ship the oysters but the rest was very good.

This seafood market looks larger from the parking lot. Once inside, the actual market is small…read morewith a handful of cases presenting the fresh catch. If you go too early, they won't even have any seafood out for presentation, and if you come too late, they will likely have sold out or have already taken the bounty away for the day. We came in one morning after buying shrimp from another place in town and mainly just wanted blue crab and fish. They didn't have blue crab, so we settled on snow crab. We also liked the red snapper here, so we got 2. I was also looking at cajun seasoning and their selection is very, very limited. I only saw one little baggie of seasoning. Would have been nice if they had more for those people that cook from home. I didn't end up purchasing the seasoning. The total came out to around $125 which I thought was a little high for what we got, but there aren't many other options in town. Service was ok, but not the friendliest.
